Sometimes there are songs that are so good that, in an ideal world, there would be multiple winners, this is one of them. Not to detract from the actual winners it’s just some years the calibre is so high it’s crazy!
This year's contest was one of the best ever. And across wildly differing genres of pop music.
Easily on par with last year. I consider that to be a strong year too with multiple entries that would be deserving winners.

Eurovision Organization stole and used for its convenience the votes fom the juries of seven countries as Romania, without such a fraud not even the UK would get the second place, matematically sure. Ukraine would get the first only because the popular-home votes? Maybe, who really knows if those were unfairly modified as well or not?

Pobrecita lo que tuvo que aguantar cuando fue elegida, hasta el punto de tener que borrarse de redes sociales, para mi desde el principio era mi elegida, la mejor opción para un festival de eurovision. Enhorabuena a Chanel a sus bailarines y a su estupendo coreografo Kyle Hanagami
¡¡Las mata callando!! Cuando la vi con esas sonrisas tan bonitas que tiene mientras actuaba pensé que cada una de ellas era un corte de manga tamaño XXL a todos los que de una u otra manera la vilipendiaron de forma salvaje, rastrera y cobarde. Lo mejor fue cuando saco el abanico, se abanico y sonrió…. Me hizo reír pensando que acababa de ver la peineta y corte de manga más elegante y enorme de mi vida. El Chanelazo a hundido a todos los ruines de España y parte del extranjero de forma contundente. Ahora le toca aguantar a toda la tropa de pelotas y aduladores que dan grima y un asco superior pues intentan ocultar su mezquindad arrastrándose como babosas. Afortunadamente, Chanel es fuerte y sabrá seguir triunfando en ese mundillo tan difícil donde quien no te apuñala por la espalda te mete palos en la rueda. ¡¡Viva Chanel!! Y hay que darle un millón de GRACIAS por avernos dado una alegría tan grande en estos tiempos tan feos que nos ha tocado vivir.

Chanel was born in Havana, Cuba, and moved to Olesa de Montserrat in Catalonia, Spain, at the age of three. Part of her family is of Spanish origin.
She has taken singing, acting and ballet classes from a young age. She learned from choreographers such as Víctor Ullate, Coco Comín and Glòria Gella. At the age of sixteen she started her career in musical theatre.
She has also been a dancer for Shakira ❤️

She was this 🤏 close to working with Spielberg. She was among the final 5 candidates to play Anita in his West Side Story remake. She was also among the three final candidates to play the same role in the musical in Spain.
Fun fact, the choreographer of this presentation is the same who works with the big names in the kpop industry (red velvet, black pink, after school, girls generations and others) so you know this is FRICKING FIRE

Spain went to the United Kingdom.... It seemed resounding to me that these things can still happen in Eurovision. wow!!!
The real winner of this edition "taking Ukraine out of the equation for political reasons" was unquestionably Chanel and
her performance SUPERTOP, we can all have a wonderful voice if we don't dance at the same time, but dancing at that
level and singing at that level live deserves the first place hands down.

I live in Spain and didnt know about her until now. Cuban born. Her family migrated to Barcelona, when she was 3 years old. Persued her career in Madrid... doing musicals and acting in TV series...
Yes, about her performance in the finals, love the new intro with the trumpet... goes perfectly with her outfit. Btw, the jacket weighs 7 kg, abt 15 lbs, Some would say the trumpet sounds Mexican but i think most of Spain would say its the intro in the bullfighting arena. No bulls in this Eurovision arena but yes, a contest (some pun intended).
I dont need to commend about her performance, most of everyone knows how great she/her team had done it. When she took the fan out, that was awesome (where did Pol, the dancer behind her hid the fan/mic while dancing)... another typcial Spanish/flamenco/sevillana touch to the show. There were some parts of the dance that was sevillana/flamenco style as well.
Dont you just love love her facial expressions throughout the performance. Top of the world. I am so glad that the Spanish Eurovision team discovered her talent. So happy for her.

Apparently if you study the breakdown of votes, this track (rather than the UK) would have actually *won* the Eurovision Song Contest if the public votes hadn't (quote rightly) gone to the Ukraine... You definitely need to react to Spain's 1995 performance. It came 2nd but for most of Eurovision fans it was the deserving winner.
Most Eurovision fans? Nocturne is one of the songs that everyone knows and has heard, while I had to go and search for Spain’s 1995 song and I have never heard that song since that night. And before you say “because Spain didn’t win”, Italy didn’t win in 1958 (3rd place) but Nel blu dipinto di blu is a song that literally everyone recognises even today. Spain had a very good song/singer in 1995, but it was nothing memorable and the winning song deserved it 100%.

Thank you very much for your reaction. Surely you will be surprised by one of the spanish finalists for Eurovision. It is a folk music group from Galicia (autonomous community in northwestern Spain). The song is the song (muiñeira) that the women used to do at the end of a hard day of harvesting and at night they would have a dance. It gives a message in several of the official Spanish languages (Galician, Catalan and Basque) 'There are no borders'. @

Stefania deserved to win for many reasons. Splendid lyrics, originality in music which combines tradition with modernity, great singers, funny and very good performance, sang not in English but in their language, etc.

@@thales7099 And many other times in the pasta songs won because neighbourhood countries have high scores, while countries like Spain have no neighbours to support them. Eurovision has always been about politics, which means, again, another reason why Ukraine should have won.

The song was written for JLo who rejected it, since, let's be honest, the lyrics are total crap, a mix of Spanish with english words and don't make sense. Chanel, however, had a great performance, but I am glad she did not win, because for the next 5 years at least half of the contestants would be performing with their naked butts on our screens....
Please go back to the caves or stay in Afghanistan. Women who are free, we don't see an "ass", we see a woman doing what she wants and what she likes in a spectacular way. You should get over it and if you really don't like it, don't chase Chanel videos after a month since the grand finale. You must have some kind of mental disorder. It doesn't make sense.
