I've used one of these bits for about 15 years. All my horses have loved it - doesn't matter what discipline, it will work, but I use it on a dressage horse right now. Prior to that I used it on my Australian stock horse for cattle work and utility.

How come you want your horses to salivate? I have seen it before in pictures, kind of think it's odd because I thought in dressage they would want there horses to look good.
