    A great video. I love how it includes aircraft from Germany & Spain, as I'd forgotten those nations were a big part of Airbus as well. (I always equate Airbus with France & the UK for some reason.)

    Airbus should make a PROPER history film. The last one I saw here on youtube was digitized from VHS. Come on, Airbus! Make a good documentary about your own history! You've achieved a lot, we like you, now give us a present.

      He was named traian vuia he invented the engine propulsed plane in 1903 and they didn't include him

  • @messerschmittbolkow5606
    @messerschmittbolkow5606 5 ปีที่แล้ว

    You have a really strange collection of aircraft right there, f.e. the fw200 is mentioned as the first aircraft which could fly nonstop over the atlantic which is not true in the way you say it because it couldnt transport passengers to fly such a distance and other very important planes like the me262 with its wingshape an engine layout are ignored.

    How can you ignore that the UK invented the jet engine? Or the the UK made the first production passenger jet aircraft? Or the the UK made the first commercial passenger jet crossing of the Atlantic?

    • @DefCon1Shooter
      @DefCon1Shooter 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The jet engine powered aircraft was not invented by the british but simultaneously developed by the british and the german airforces during WW2 The first jet powered aircraft in production was the ME 262 (Germany) (first flight 18th July 1942) followed by the gloster Meteor (UK) (first flight 5th March 1943)...

    • @lcb1067
      @lcb1067 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Read what I said. The British invented the jet engine, made the first ** production passenger ** jet plane and that it was the first ** commercial ** passenger crossing of the atlantic.
      I never said they invented the first jet plane did I ????

    • @DefCon1Shooter
      @DefCon1Shooter 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      The history of the jet engine can not be assigned to a single nation. There were scientists and engineers from multiple european countries involved, especially Germany and the UK. The first patent comes from a frenchman though...

    • @sergevivier2023
      @sergevivier2023 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leslie, As you probably know, all the Airbus wings are made in UK and so are the wings for the Cserie. And in the case of the A350, the engines and the wings are made there.

    • @lcb1067
      @lcb1067 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes Serge, I was fully aware of that, but that is nothing to do with my remark, which is about what the video omitted.
      However, on your point, that is soon not to be the case, as China will soon be making A320 family wings ( see the end of .... www.aircraft.airbus.com/company/worldwide-presence/airbus-in-china/ )

    Hey if you are a real Airbus Developer then make a supersonic triple decker plane with four wings and eight engines and it would be long and there would be 20,000 seats. I wanted to play with a plane like that in FSX and it's name would be Airbus A410+. It's top speed would be 1,000 knots and very low cabin pressure and would be able to go at attitudes like 70,000 and would be so luxury
