The way you covered that roof was awesome sticking that plastic under the shingles was the best tree trimmer patch job I ever saw coming from a long time roofer
He should have been holding the top of that tree section so wouldn't hit against the house once it was set loose and I hope he didn't damage the gutter when he repelled down to the ground with his weight bearing on the gutter
Just a reasonable suggestion for you guys, when using ratchet straps, it's safer to put the ratchet part on the passenger side of vehicles and trailers. When I say safer, I mean, if you had to stop along side a highway or street you are at less risk of getting hit by passing vehicles, if some chance of having to fix your load from coming loose.
I am a 71 year old NASA retiree, my wife of 46 years still does public service work, I watch You Tube videos several hours a day; mostly Billy Ray, Ironhorse, Tinman, Cottontop, August Hunicke, etc. Lately I have been watching Guilty of Treeson and like it a lot. If you and your team are anything like you portray on your videos, your attitude, patience, and demeaner is perfection. Eastside is fortunate to have an asset like you. I went back and watched all of your videos and the only problem I have is that there is not enough of them. Keep up the great work, be careful, and don't change.
Maybe it's a west coast thing or a Washington thing, or most likely is just specific to you and your team; but you guys do really good work. So many times out here on the east coast, I've seen and heard of companies coming out and doing a half ass job. It's the simple things and that extra step that you do, like just blowing the saw dust off the roof or raking the small twigs and branches. But the biggest thing I saw you do in this video that I would be willing to bet wouldn't happen out here was you putting the tarp down on the roof. That just screams 5 star service to me. You and your team are the best Jake. Great job! If karma is a real thing, you guys have something special coming your way. Best of luck in the future and stay safe.
just had a job done this summer where they came in cut 1 tree and trimmed another (80-100 footers). first truck was a man lift crane, 2nd truck showed up was a the tool and maintenance truck, 3rd truck showed up with a chipper, 4th truck showed up was clean up. when they left you couldn't tell they had been there, no saw dust or small branches, nothing. btw i live in upstate New York and the whole thing was just $800.00 and took 1 hour. i had 2 dangerous trees taken care of and my house says thank you, a 6 man crew all in their 20's, very clean and professional. i'll recommend these guys any time.
I've used one company here a couple times for removal/ pruning & stump grinding a couple times & several of my neighbours have too. Very professional & friendly. Plus for every tree they cut & stump grind they pay for planting a new tree or bush that's native to the area through a city program. They also use biodegradable chainsaw bar oil, and environmentally-friendly hydraulic fluids based on grapeseed oil.
I too live on the east coast. I had a call is to a tree service. The owner came out looked at the tree and left. I had to call him on his cell phone to find out if he would do the work...all I got was cussed out and hung up on. I called him back and got something about me pocketing insurance money. The red oak was leaning and recently struck by lightning. My insurance company was going to pay him to take it down. I have never understood his angle. I agree these guys on the west coast-Eastside...wish they were on this side. Id be glad to give them my tree work. I agree...awesome group of guys, great camaraderie and professional work. I do believe they have fun doing it too!
Still would take quite a jolt to break and possibly still hold him on to the lower portion of the tree and its expected recoil when releasing the pressure created by the top but there are not alot of options on this kind of job. Ive done several leaners on houses and its never gone as smooth as these guys made it look. Thumbs up gents. Giving consideration to all the possibilities from the roots up is what keeps us alive, since treeclimbers rarely get do overs. So fairly early in the game you either learn to sus out all the likely possibilities, or dont but unconcerned or impatient climbers usually get hurt badly or worse, or the smarter choice for the 99%ers is to leave for less exciting professions.
Or plant a tree when you were a little kid and it surprisingly didn't die off. No one wanted to cut 'my' tree, so it's still there, chilling and growing strong through the fence. Whoops.
I am agape with wonder at the perfection and SPEED! What a fabulous crew, artists in your own way! You deserve every penny you earn, I hope you are well paid for this level of workmanship!
Chainsaw's are one of the best sounds in the world....because I grew up hearing it all the time. So many wonderful memories. well at least in regards to the gasoline powered ones.
Yeah n look how much extra time it took.. Pretty much none, cuz the guys on the ground are cleaning up there stuff.. Its just people that dont wanna work or think every extra time they move a finger they should get paid more.. have people that work for you like that just tell'em bye cuz it gets worse n worse before it gets better.. in there head they keep adding up all this "extra work" they dont get paid for & they become more n more 😭😭😭😭
Once again, Jake - Absolute perfection! What I enjoy as much as your obvious arboreal skills is the way you explain each procedure without missing a beat, giving us layman viewers an idea of what's taking place and WHY.
Good to see the electric Husky getting some use, Jake. It's gutsier than I imagined - somehow can't get used to the idea that battery powered saws are much more use than light home use.
Great work Brian . I also run a tree crew in Houston . Love you’re professionalism and all around attitude on the job site . 👍🏼👍🏼 People like you make the tree industry even better .

@@barkershill Well it is seldom news worthy. Many of the older housing development's are in wooded areas or trees have become mature and prone to storm damage. Iron ass. Outstanding teamwork. Thanks for posting. The drone shots help to put the job and the danger into perspective. A 100 oak fell on the roof of the house of a friend two months ago. Smashed two trusses. Took nearly two months to get the whole operation complete. As another comment noted, trees grow and they have a life-span. Homeowners, beware. Hard to tell what's going on in the ground. That tree is a 100 ft long lever. Every needle on the tree catches wind. At what point does one more needle make the difference? Thanks for posting. You’ve taught us well. I already knew how you were going to attack the problem before I saw the crane truck. You’ve managed to teach a dentist all about tree removal. I think I’ll move on to open heart surgery videos and become an expert on that too. Nice job getting that tree off that house cleanly!
Hey man I loved your dead maple removals riding out pieces with the crane and this one tops it just super smooth nice work man. Riding the piece out in the crane looks slick

I guess it’s been said before .When you plant small trees near your house remember like kids they will get bigger . Nice one guys .
And it just might be your kids that have to deal with it!
Tree was probably there well before the house, but good advice anyway! :-)

Most companies: Putting a tarp down is not our job, we cut trees.
Eastside: Let's make sure the house is protected and clean before we leave.
And that’s what’s good about em they are nice aswell
Yeah n look how much extra time it took.. Pretty much none, cuz the guys on the ground are cleaning up there stuff..
