I have a question, so I have a client with a MASSIVE art collection and we are looking for non-traditional ways to sell this art. Please note, he is NOT the artist but a collector that has a significant collection of rare art by some of the worlds most recognized artists such as Van Gogh. My question is, what is the best way to use an NFT to sell these art pieces. We do not want to release them all at once, but rather release them strategically as I know once the word gets out that these rare pieces of art are coming out, we will start to get a good following of buyers.
i think you are the only person on the net who is addressing this genuine problem/questional in all your videos. thanks and love you guyz. but my problem is that you could have done better than your thumbnail which did not get covered in depth at all and an old video is broken into multiple parts
I want to collobrate with artists I know personally and promoting their work who are not good at marketing their work.. All hand art aswell as wood carvings
I still cannot find the answer to this question : where is the content data stored? Does the ETH blockchain hold the visual data? If so, won't that result in a blockchain of ridiculously large size? Or is the content data stored on a private server, and associated with the blockchain entry? How could an NFT minted with OpenSea be viewed from another platform if OpenSea has the content data?
Hey Ceilidh, It's stored on InterPlanetary File System, or IPFS. It's decentralized cloud storage system that your smart contacts can read from and point to.
Helpful video, thanks man. As an art enthusiast, knowing NFT exist gives me hope that I can make money by doing art. And I bumped to one of the best NFT project- The Pop Cult. They got insanely good arts and if youre an artist they might consider your artworks.
I am representing an artist’s estate. My clients parent was a well known artist who has many articles written about them in art magazines. However the auction value for the physical art work is not well established and is low. My marketing team is planning on marketing the artist, and try to get museums to buy their work or exhibit a retrospective. Someone told me to look into NFT’s. I don’t understand what people actually purchase when they buy an NFT. Ideally the inheritor wants to sell the art, reserve the copyright laws for themselves, but can they sell the NFT separately from the copyrights and the physical art objects?
So if a physical asset gets turned into an NFT which is sold, what is the future of the physical piece? in theory, can this be sold to a traditional buyer or meant to be kept in a secure location on behalf of the NFT owner?
It depends on the traits and utilities you give the nft in the contract. Nft is just the digital copy. You could sell the physical copy still, or give it to the first buyer, but who owns the physical copy won’t be able to upload to web3 and use it commercially for profit unless they purchase the nft to match.
Hi. Thank you for the lesson, very good. So I am a writer and I don't even know where to start to market my books, my stories, my art. Where can I find a chance to collaborate with someone to learn and thrive ?
We were suggest that you start following any projects related to books or writing and get to know some of the people involved so you can start to gather up ideas of where to start
I have some oil paintings that's Bob Ross style paintings but I have no followers on any social media. Can anyone in the video above collaborate with me or send me the right direction?
I applaud you all for the video, but to tell the truth, as an artist, it seems greatly intimidating.... Saturated? Building community before selling (or price your stuff at a negligable amount like a dollar?) I really wish you guys had gone slower, asked more detailed questions, and spent a good half hour on this process - even showing how step by step - an NFT is created, then loaded, then the various steps of community building, etc. It seems like there is so Much more to this than watch is shown. Hint: Could you literally follow one person/artist - with no experience - and then spend time with them as they do each step - up to the sale, and then ending the 'thesis' with your POV on the possible/potential success or failure or inbetween - of this person in NFTs. Anyway, that's my view and hope you produce more and longer explorations into this 'exploding' field for artists.

Great art should go to top auctions in NYC London or Paris..

@@jaimix31792 who pays for that storage?

Can we talk about music and NFTs? Like a wile back rapper Tory Lanes sold a million units as NTFs in one minute
He’s not the only one. We can def do a music related episode

Very informative for wannabe NFT artists!

The physical asset is still its own entity
Great information… 🔥
This is great. Thanks guys
I still don't know how to do it and I have lots of paintings on canvas.

Excellent interview. Thank you
Glad it was helpful!
@@NFTs4Newbies I am a newer company and create a lot of unique content. I am trying to understand how this could be a viable revenue stream.

I've had some wants to buy my art outright then mint. I said no. I want to mint my own art.
I just send my paintings to christies gallery.

Why do you need a few hundred dollars to start 😭💜
Gas fees + the cost of NFT
This may be a good generalist talk but no details ...
