I prefer the sequential mode when driving slowly and the paddles when on the motor-way. I don't use the paddles at night because there is a tendency to flash the headlights by mistake
@arsenalfan4life1993 yOU WANT the sensodrive model (Which is the model shown) it is semi automatic. You can drive it in full Automatic mode, or sequential stick, or with the flappy paddles. You use the flappy paddles in the same way that you would use a manual. Changing gear at the same time as in a manual. If you brake, the gears will change down or there own, also if you accelerate rapidly then it should change up automatically. You don't have to stop between changing the driving settings
On the hole its good. I would say though that when you shift it into 3rd either through the paddles, stick or even in auto mode, there can be a tiny bit of delay sometimes when driven at normal speeds. I think that its ok for power, I would not recommend anything smaller than the 1.6 as they feel under powered. It is quick when you give it some gas and the paddles are great fun (Just like F1 cars).
Flappy paddle is just "semi automatic", in the sense that it is an automatic gearbox (clutch control done for you) which only shifts when the driver says (up or down). Theoretically this means that you can shift when you think is best, but how fast the shift is is down to the automatic mechanics themselves.
@SuperR1991 Thanks for that mate. It is a good car and like all modern Citroen cars, they pay allot of attention to styling IE; the seating, dash, etc... Thanks
Thank you so much for your video.. I am still a li'l confused.. When you put the car in Auto mode, does it work like a proper automatic car? hence not needing to use the flappy peddle or the sequential shift? And I am also curious.. which one is your MOST preferred means of driving on a day to day basis? Thanks again!
make sure that the one you buy has been serviced regularly and that the upgrades have been done. The gearbox on these cars die after 70,000 miles. this is a common design fault which can cost a fortune to repair.
Hey, thanks for the video. Is that supposed to be a robo gearbox or is it automatic? I know there is a difference in those, but not sure what this model is running...
@MarvinsKitchen seat cars are pretty badass also ppl here in america arnt hardly intrested in small cars like these there more into huge v8 trucks btw i was surprisingly able to find a renault dealership in tijuana mexico while i was around there lol
Hi, could you tell me which model has the flappy panel gearbox? is it the sensodrive part which has that? I really want a car with the flappy panels, I have come across this car and a SMART car which is not really up my street. I do like this one though. Are there any cars with flappy panels that you know of? Also, when using the flappy panels, will it let you go to revs as high as you like or will it change for you automatically after so many revs? Would appreciate it if you got back to me!
just a question please..how you will use the reverse gear if you are on a fully automatic mode? stop the car, press the brake, manually put the reverse gear????
hey, about what you said about the gearbox, do you have any experience with the manuel version to compare both? do you think the manual gearbox lasts longer?
so it can be driven in auto or by paddles right?.... So when we slow down do we have to down shift every gear or, like a manual, wait till it gets to the gear to shift into??
@chrisbrownexclusiv My C2 is a 1.6 VTR, I don't think that you can get smaller sized C2's as a VTR, But I could be wrong. Check the reverse lights if your buying a second hand one, as they tend to be faulty.
Hi Marvin someone has just offered me the C2 furio auto flappy paddle (53 reg) with 88 k on the clock for my vauxhall combo 1.3 cdti 56 reg van. they make a coment regarding a gear box issue with the ecu. the make note that it is an easy / cheap fix for a general diy mechanic I was wandering if you had experienced a problem like this and if so is it the easy cheap fix they have stated thanks for the time you have taken for you upload Mick
Can you make a video of the C2 while using the paddle shift? I want to see how responsive the gearbox is in the auto. Get a friend to film as you drive!
Hi, I just checked a 1.4 version of this car and it's registered as an automatic so I guess you can! However I checked a 1.6 and it wasn't classed as an auto. But after some googling the majority of sites say you can drive semi-autos with an auto license. But the best solution would be to learn how to drive with a proper gearbox ;)
I do agree. being a cheap car to buy, your not going to get a highly intelligent gear box. If you want a seamless gear-change for little money, go for a fully automatic mercedes slk.
it's not sequential... it's a robotized gearbox... It's very shitty en clumpsy.... I would recomment the 1.6 vts manual... then you get 125hp instead of a louzy 105... sensodrive is realy bad... hence the low prices

Very informative. Thank you.
hi, no stop start on this model, the newer citroens have it though
Hey, thanks for the video.

you can skip gears, or if you forget to change down at a junction the car will automatically go into first. Its very easy.
So, do you have to use the gears at all or can you just put it into drive and go?
just a question please..how you will use the reverse gear if you are on a fully automatic mode? stop the car, press the brake, manually put the reverse gear????
Hello guys!I put my C2 in automatic mode but isn't changing the gear, do you know why?😔

Hi mate I am 15 I am going to get a c2 VTR when I get older can you tell me a few things about the c2
with the flappy paddle gearbox, do u still need to use the clutch? or is it automatic shift?

do you think i can make a trip of 2000 KM and back or is it going to let me down?
Can you make a video of the C2 while using the paddle shift? I want to see how responsive the gearbox is in the auto. Get a friend to film as you drive!
@MarvinsKitchen im in the united states i wish the us dealerships could sell badass cars like these
i prefer the manual VTS model
hey im looking at getting a c2 this friday do you get this modle with a 1.4 engine
Mate,where is the driving?
Sensodrive you poor sod i feel sorry for you.
Tried to find an answer for this, maybe you can help, do you need a manual license for this car?! Or can it be driven on an automatic license?!

David Skelley no clutch = auto
Thanks alot for the info guys.
@@Peterraawwrr i am an automatic instructor, you can drive semi autos on a automatic licence
is it a good car? i'm thinking of buying one?
I always stick the camera under the passenger headrest
@SuperR1991 what country are you in? this car is in England. LOL

So you literally just use the brake and accelerator? No clutch? YASSSS
@flametiger2 Hi, There is not a clutch.
its the same gearbox just this one is computer assisted etc..
Its good until the actuator packs in for senso drive lol
.
Is there a clutch?
No
yes
Nice car if only the drivers side was on the left side
completely stop, select reverse and go.
sorry for the late reply. My comment will be AVOID at all cost!!
