i think i've noticed that cpu DB's will play good defense until the ball is near, then the game automatically forces the WR into a good position to catch it, rather than letting the physics in the game play out. the only time i see DBs stick with a WR until the play is resolved is if it's user'd. this is especially the case if the reciever is a possession type.

i think madden uses abilities as a way to balance the game beyond attributes that might be too general, rather than as icing on the cake. if someone is good at KO'ing a WR, but not a hard hitting tackler enough everywhere else to give him a high hit power rating, they give him a KO ability rather than a good hit power rating. this is especially in the case of highly athletic players who aren't particularly skilled. gilmore, whose never been a top end athlete at corner, has always been a great cover man and this has led him to being great in real life beyond what his attributes would let him be. view abilities like decimal points, not just extra shit

The only time I’ve played this game was when I had the 10 hour trail from EA play that’s it , i haven’t bought the game and I don’t think I’m going to I just didn’t enjoy this game during the trial , and before clowns wanna come at me and tell me well that’s because you suck at the game bro there’s no defense in this game whatsoever you need to prey and hope to get a fumble an int or just incomplete passes but all those things barley happen on this game it’s all offensive based , now not to be mean here but the only people that like madden 25 are kids or teenagers who have never played the older maddens and only played the more recent ones
