@@dannythomas417 absolutely right i don’t actually remember Saku Koivu’s return from cancer cause i was very young at the time but i’ve been told about it and how Saku reacted to a fan or whatever from another team with a broken arm what a class act
I grew up in the era of the Flower and later in life had several opportunities to do contracting work at his home. He was always so friendly and real. He would sit with the crew at break time and talk about the job and seemed honestly reluctant to answer our questions about him and how we all considered him a legend. Really a sad day for me to have learned of his passing. RIP Le Fleur and thanks for the great memories.
SOmething I do admire aboute Habs fans (despite me being a Leafs fan) is that they teach their children about their team's greats. What I mean is that u saw fans that no way would they have seen Guy play but they still understand why he was such an important part of Montreal's history.
Exactly. In Montreal (and Quebec as a whole), hockey extends beyond just the sport. Its almost like a religion here. He will be missed and this was extremely classy of the Sens to do. Many people don't understand that he was by far the best player of the 70s. Thank you for the respect and I hope you guys go far this playoffs Leafsbro
i remember meeting him in st foy quebec , i was in a juvenile detention center and he actually came to our unit and raffled a signed stick... great guy... steve penney also brought his goalie gear in and i was the lucky guy picked to wear it ... will never forget that day
As a fan of the habs my prayers go out to his family as he passed away yesterday to cancer just breaks my heart that he past away and the flames will have a moment of quiet tonight and the flames will win the Stanley cup this year
After this Brendan Gallagher wouldn't even shake Tkachuk's hand for the ceremonial faceoff on DIFD night. Pretty classless, especially considering how he was banging about being a role model over the Stützle non dive. Shows what a joke he really is.
C'est mieux que rien ! Guy Lafleur n'a pas joué avec les Sens, ils ont quand même pris la peine de faire un hommage. Le vrai hommage sera ce soir au Centre Bell vs Boston !
As a Canadiens fan I though that much class and respect was shown here by the Senators Organization and their fans
it really was after we did the same for their assistant coach
@@jasmine.swayze Let's not forget about Koivu's cancer and Robinson's induction night.

Rip to an icon of hockey. Absolute legend and very classy by Ottawa
It was also very nice to see Calgary have an ovation for the memory of Guy Lafleur! Guy had quite a few fans in Alberta! RIP

Classy move doing this in French :). Love both of these teams so much.
60 + Ranger fan, as a kid in Brooklyn, I read about how he would drive fast around Qubec innthose days, Love him? I wanted to be him
J'ai l'impression qu'um morceau de moi est parti et ne revient pas 😢 🏒 #10
This game is sooo good. High intensity and fights
Classy
This wa jn memory of a good man. You should be ashamed of your insensitivity.
I was at the game as a senators fan Everyone was screaming” guy guy guy”
Thank you Ottawa 🙏🏻
The irony of losing two legends in the same week from the same disease. RIP Guy and Mike.
Rip king of Montreal

This was in memory of a good man. Who cares about what your favorite team is. Jerk.
Nice tribute

You would have no idea they were in Ottawa based on the jerseys in the crowd.
Classy move Sens

You call that a tribute? I don't want to be rude but that was very ordinary. Disappointing.
