I agree with Don't Nod that not every story needs to be dragged out. Like we should allow some stories to be self contained and finish while they are still loved, rather than watered down into nothing. Aren't people tired and burnt out by corporations churning out "content" to cash in on our feelings about the "art" that came 1st? Or is it just me?
I do agree that continuing the story may not be a great idea, as we've seen that play out poorly with plenty of other projects. However, I do think some additional DLC content would be worthwhile for some of us superfans. Playing as Nathan, for one episode, as an example. Seeing what he experienced leading up to meeting Mr Jefferson. Life is Strange 2 and True Colors we're in the same world, and had a couple of crossover characters, but I would like to see more content of the main LIS story characters, even if it does not contribute to the furthering of the overall story.
@@activatebpm There's indeed significant potential tied to this. You're correct... Life is Strange has been a significant part of my life ever since. And if there were anything to revive it...
To some extent but the max sequel will get more sales than all the other sequels combined and there’s reason for this. She was their most popular protagonist in their most popular story. And people are invested and want to know how she is. So I see your point but also sometimes it is good to go back to what works, let’s not forget the huge gap in popularity between Life is strange and all the other games in the series. LIS2 underperformed so the choice is a bit more simple - do we have more story to tell or not. But for max it’s more a question of can we sell lots more LIS if we bring her back.
I don't know how slim the chances will be, but I always liked that the lis universe is connected. And I hope that somehow there will be a connection between the characters of lost records and characters like max, chloe, sean and daniel.
difficult, maybe easter eggs but LiS is Square Enix property, but maybe now don't nod can start a new narrative anthologic universe with all the freedom they want since it will be self published :) I hope this game will be good
I hoped so much that in LiS 3 we'll be able to find any easter eggs to LiS 2, but alas. eventually I saw couple of letters from mexico and now I'm happy with illision that there is one 😄(it actually isn't)
I loved life is strange 2 the most, it might of helped that I played that one first because I didn’t go into it expecting it to be similar to the first story wise and I loved it. I loved the first one too but was ehh about true colors
Its a Great Game but sooooo Heartbreaking 😢 I didnt like before the Storm, Never finished it. For that reasons I liked Part I and true colors the Most.
I feel bad for not really connecting with true colours... the relationships felt rushed and forced, there wasn't much story, just running around town and side quests etc... I didn't even mind her power, but it gave me an uneasy feeling, some parts I really enjoyed, don't get me wrong, but it felt... off, it kind of reminded me of Twin Mirrors a bit, ngl
Good to hear from you it’s been a while. Life is strange two will always be my favorite. It was a success with in my mind. Daniel choice, consequence, AI. It’s a stroke of genius. Come back Daniel and Sean. We miss you. Or at least I do. Blood brothers for life. Wavelengths sequel, life is strange two sequel, is my hope. Life is strange two, part two. With Chris as the main character.
since it also was by dontnod im positive for lost records, even tho the trailer wasn't really for me..... it reminded me very much of true colors and the quarry- both games that didn't have the feels of lis 1 :)
@@lovely-maxcaulfield it was very good but ppl at the time were too fragile to hear about racism. It was ahead of its time. when I first tried playing it I stopped uninterested after the 1st ep. but years later I decided to give it a shot and commit to it, and it’s probably now my favorite LiS game.
I'm extremly biased to 1, since it was my first game I ever played on a playstation ( and right then just a fricking banger of a game lmaoo) but yeah if that wouldn't be there 2 would be my favorite.. ITS SOOO GOOOODDDDD@@omsmada
I really hope we get a game where everyone comes together. Max, Chloe, Sean, Daniel, Alex and whoever she chose to romance. I really want to know more about the LiS world, where the powers come from. Stuff like that.
That might be hard considering both Chloe and Sean could potentially be dead. Granted they showed in LIS2 that their ‘canon’ ending was destroying Arcadia Bay, but they never came out with what the ‘canon’ ending for LIS2 was which would be tough considering the only endings that have Sean alive and not in prison are in Mexico.
Fun fact: pretty much everyone who has powers in the LiS universe is from the general pacific northwest area. Max is from the state of Oregon (we don't know precisely where since Arcadia Bay, her place of birth, is fictional) , Daniel is from Seattle, Alex was born in Portland, Oregon. They're all from generally the same region of the USA and that is very sus imo.
LiS 2 was really really good actually. The dynamic between the brothers and the way you "raised" your younger brother was so interesting to go through.
I actually found life is strange 2 to be the most relatable. All the games were really good, in different ways, but that was the one where I connected most with the characters.
I actually loved all the life is strange games. I think the best part about True Colors was how hard it was for Charlotte to deal with grief. I think her scenes of anger brought me to tears once they talked on the pier towards the end of the game and the music was perfect.
all of True Colors' best moments are when it's not trying to be Life is Strange 1 - all of derivative plot-twist stuff was kinda eh, but seeing the consequences of taking Charlotte's grief was genuinely thought-provoking and moving
It does but Not Develop by the Same People just the same Game Company (Don't Nod) that is the reason he may have not added it or He didn't play it. Some fans only follow Don't Nod's Life is Strange Developers. If He talk more about all Don't Nod games we be here for an hour or 2. Remember Me, Life is Strange, Vampyr, Tell me Why, Banishers and Lost Records plus a few side/ Small games here and there.
@@mattstansbeary3068 I know? Idk why you're telling me this? It's a part of the story, however it is a separate game, it came before LiS 2 and was a demo, I believe, not a DLC I find it weird that they didn't mention this game is all, because despite it being linked to Life Is Strange 2, it's still technically its own game (single download, etc)
It was great to hear your voice again, I've missed the LIS discussions🥳 I wish the absolute best for the Don't Nod team in Montréal, hopefully they can pull it off again!
LiS2 is definitely my favorite tbh. It suffered because people wanting Chloe and Max back and then the topics they were going into made cause some outrage from certain people. Tell Me Why also was so good imo which in my head feels like a life is strange i think right next to LiS2 for me. Excited for Lost Record the pink glow is really reminding me of that prime show called Paper Girls which was based of a book of the same name. which had the whole thing where the girls find something with a pink glow. the girls end up time traveling to the future and meating future adult versions of themselves and it took place in the 90s before going to the future. Never finished season 1 since i heard it got cancelled made me not want to finish it but i do know there was giant mecha in it.
prob caused outrage because it is so clearly made by old white french guys trying to do actual racism themes in a country they don't live in. shit was wack
interesting that you mention Paper Girls, i wonder if DONTNOD took any inspiration from it? they took MASSIVE inspiration from twin peaks for the first game, so it does make sense!
I think the main reason for the loss in popularity is that a large part of LIS fanbase is teenage girls and swapped from being a game about schoolgirls to being about boys. We have lots of games for boys and about boys. Me and my friends mostly skipped 2 and came back for true colors. I don’t even know if it is good or bad because it just didn’t appeal to me and I bought all other LIS games.
I agree, as much as I wanna know what happened with them I seriously think that if we drag their story out its just gonna end up ruining it and in the end we are gonna consider it not canon due to it being shit.
Exactly. I think at most one appearance from them would be cool, like Max in some news related to her photographs... Creating new stories can work, as it worked very well with Sean and Daniel, in my opinion
life is strange 2 was my favorite, don't know why people couldn't have been more open-minded about a different story and characters. i'm excited for lost records, i know it'll be good if it's dontnod.
I didn't know LiS2 wasn't that well recieved. I thought it was very well written and beautiful. I really rooted for the characters. I loved the first one, but the second was really amazing to me. I feel all these stories are so important for young people and society in general. It really makes players empathise with stories they might never live. Sending some love to all the teams who made them!
Something I’ve been thinking about is how much more successful life is strange 2 wouldve been if it was more closely connected to the first. The show infinity train is also a anthology with a very similar premise to life is strange with each season focusing on a new set of characters. The difference is, the characters are already pre-established from previous seasons. For example, a backgrounder from season 1 may become the main character in season 2 and the antagonist of season 2 may become the protagonist of season 3. This worked for the audience better because they were more comfortably eased in to having other protagonists by starting with familiar faces before expanding to newer characters. Like, if Sean was more so based on a backgrounder from the first game with life is strange 2 having the same plot and premise and just a closer approximation to the first entry. Kinda like how they did Steph but just more calculated and purposeful.
This was a great video! I didn't expect you to talk about the Life is Strange series as a whole, but it was a refreshing reminder of the journey Don't Nod and their lost series went through. I am very excited for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage despite the lack of information so far; I even hope it will create a massive fanbase that will love it as much as Life is Strange. Probably unlikely, but I think it looks very promising, so I'll happily stay optimistic :)
thank you so much! yeah, i felt like it was important to delve into the history of the franchise, both for the benefit of new viewers, and to, like you say, give a little refresher! i feel like this is going to be a very exciting year for LiS :) your comment made me smile!
So good and refreshing to see you back in the feed! Im really curious about the Bloom&Rage, I've no expectations, Im welcomed to be surprised. The LiSFranchsie roadtrip storyline feels so close.. yet so distant and nostalgic. Ah. time. :)
thank you so much! it's great to be making videos again :) i really miss the journey of watching the LiS 2 episodes come out, i made so many good friends at that time :3
I feel like Deck Nine's games were more style over substance. I wanted to love True Colors, and I enjoyed it, but it didn't feel like the choices really mattered
So happy I found your channel! As a huge Life is Strange fan, I am VERY excited for the Lost Records franchise, and I can't wait to see you cover "Bloom and Rage" over the rest of the year!
thank you so much! that really means a lot :) i plan on uploading a couple of bloom and rage videos over the next few weeks - i've got some theories cooking up :p
It´s so good to see that most comments are positive about life is strange 2, my fav entry in the series it´s really sad that a lot of fans didn´t gave the game a chance just bc it wasn´t abut max n chloe
I hope that in the future it grows on its own, the main problem with that game is the way it was marketed and titled as a sequel to the original when technically it was it’s own thing in the LiS Universe, instead of 2 it could have been called LiS Brotherhood, or something along those lines.
Im very happy people are giving positive comments here about lis2 its really the game in this series that impacted me a lot and made me feel for the brothers 😢
@@CucuOnGames thank you cucu you're keeping the lis2 fandom alive :). I tried convincing my friend about playing lis2 and lemme tell you his having a roller coaster of emotions rn lol, thank you for giving us lis2 content its saddens me how this was the least appreciated in the franchise even though imo its where the choices actually feel like it really mattered.
I was 16 when LiS first came out. I found out about it when Episode 3 was kinda freshly out when I was on summer vacation at my grandmas for a few weeks until August. I watched PewDiePies Let's Play and was... enchanted. As a teenager in 2015 where Tumblr and Pinterest were the main factors in my life regard aesthetics I LOVED LiS. I could see myself in these videos. My upbringing was nothing really... good and having this escapeism situation at my grandmas during summer and watching LiS Let's Plays felt so therapeutic for lonely teenager-me. I stayed up all night when the new episode 4 released just to catch PewDiePies Let's Play as soon as possible. Worth it. When LiS Before the Storm came out I had the same reaction. I was 18 years old now, finished school and had a boring day job. BtS gave me something to be excited about after work. It's flawed, yes, but that's why I loved it. I ate every episode up and connected to these characters. I never really got close with LiS 2 or True Colors. I'm not sure why, despite loving the artstyle and stories it's just not the same to me. Lost Records looks like LiS & BtS (but with an altered art style) and that's why I'm so excited for it. The games may be flawed, but that's why I love them. If I want a truely "perfect" story I'd just replay RDR2. But I want to play flawed games. I want to see flawed people, terrible people, conflict and humanity. LiS & BtS reminded me of my hometown, my school/college and the people around you. Life is not perfect, it is indeed strange.
i love thinking about the phases of my life in which i played the LiS games, I remember being 16-ish when BtS was coming out, and i had pretty similar circumstances to Chloe at the time, so I really felt heard and related to - I didn't relate to TC as much, but still really loved 2. i really like hearing that other people have been touched by these games in similar ways to me :)
Life is Strange 2 was personally the most impactful of the franchise, and actually took our choices into account for the ending. I played it around 5 years ago and haven't had the courage to play again. I'd do anything to play it for the 1st time again, you really experience the lis world in lis2. Hopefully people pick it up again with the mindset of this being its own game rather than an extension of the 1st game!
"haven't had the courage to play again" ooooh you're so real 😭. it takes a brutal emotional toll, but i actually find talking to other people who recognize the genius of 2 makes it hurt less. hopefully you'll come around to it again soon!
the reason why i liked it the most is because I’ve been on my own since 17 raising my little brother. i was forced to survive on my own at a young age. i never had a teen drama or high school experience. i had to protect my own little brother. so you’re right. i related to it more so I like it more. the OST was also deeply chilling and some of the best i’ve heard as a musician. Into the Woods, Karen, A Long Road Ahead, and the Lantern Song are some of the best i’ve heard. there are many emotionally touching symbolic scenes and relatable familial moments. i found myself loving the traveling aspect of the story as well
They’re realising a new book series about Steph and Alex soon!! (Not sure if it’s a series but at least a book) Ik some people don’t see the books/comics as canon and that’s fine! But I’m super excited! Btw I recommend reading Stephs story! It’s about her life before haven!
i was actually thinking about picking up Steph's Story a while ago, but it keeps slipping to the bottom of my priority list - it might be an interesting video idea to review it
LiS 2 is the best one imo, the first one was good but, it was just cheesy and I didn’t really like max and Chloe as much as the two brothers. I genuinely wonder what the demographic is for LIS because, it has mostly white people playing it then, I can clearly understand why alot of people hated it.
it's sad when so many stories are about empathy that people are unable to related to a POC protagonist, even if their struggles aren't necessarily the same - i loved sean's story
Great video, thank you for this! Really interesting to hear the background/foundation of one of my favourite series. Also; side note: I absolutely loved Remember Me and still play it to this day! Had such a great atmosphere, world and score behind it that I think was a really missed opportunity not to expand on!!! Thanks again :)
I really love LIS2, I guess the theme of family bonding, self-struggle, and the pursuit of freedom is really my thing. During the COVID, the whole story really hits differently. And I can see why it's not loved by a lot, it got some flaws such as very in-your-face political stuff, some character's weird behavior(yes I am talking about Daniel in chapter 4). Still, this is my favorite LIS game.
I first played LiS on the 360 and loved it, but I stopped keeping up with the franchise. Learning about Dontnod's backstory and what they've been up to since then was very interesting. Great video. I'm excited for Lost Records!! 💜
This video was amazing! I just recently played before the storm because I saw it on PS Plus Extra and thought how much different it was compared to the first game. I never knew they were making a new series and it looks so good, I’m definitely looking forward to it! This video was really nice and I’ll definitely check out that 2hr video you mentioned
It was nostalgic when you introduced the original Life Is Strange, it was cool when Before The Storm had its intro, but I got literal CHILLS when Life Is Strange 2 got its introduction. Lis2 will always be my favourite no matter what anyone else had to say about it.
i LOVED making those little intros hahaha, i didn't wanna be too corny with it, but it was genuinely so much fun to cut together mini-trailers like that
I enjoyed LIS1 as it released. It did not affect me the way LIS2 did. Sean & Daniel's story resonated with me so much. I was emotionally gutted with each episode. Something I feel LIS True Colors missed the mark with. To me, LIS:TF didn't have the same weight to it as I experienced with LIS2 and the original. I do hope however that whenever LIS 3 is released, it will be a success in its own way. I'm looking forward to Lost Records. Until then, I'll continue to revisit LIS 1 & 2 for the time being.
Nah, Lis 2 was such didsapointment, it’s characters were a joke, a dude with no personality and his annoying little brother with most Sleeper power that we can’t even control. The setting was cool tho
LiS is great game. It shows how Life is sometimes strange. That is what that game always was about for me. LiS2 is great succesor. It gave us something new that felt like it still was episodic storytelling about how life can be strange. It being so different, yet still fit in the theme. Then when I watched videos talking about True Colors all I heard was "came back to it's main theme of murder mistery".. That was never why I fell in love with it. Queer or not, I didn't care. That was never the reason the game was great. Yes, the relationships matter, but it doesn't matter who they are. Max or Sean? Both were great, both were different. If there was to be LiS3, I wish it was nothing like LiS & LiS2, I wish it was about how strange life can sometimes be, but this time in different place with different situation. (True Colors didin't manage to feel unique)
I hope in the next game we dive more into Chloe and her ability to see the future through her dreams. In the prequel we saw moments of this of parts of her dream showing hints of what was coming. While every person has their limits to their ability, hers seem to be tied to how much she can spend with her dad before remembering his death. Plus then there’s Rachel, who seemed to be hinted at being able to manipulate the elements with her emotions, and that would be interesting to dive into as well
I loved Remember Me, i'm a huge fan of it and when i heard that Life Is Strange is coming out i was excited and was so happy to see how big the game became to be. My favourite is LiS2, it was an amazing, sad story. LiS1 wasn't as character wise really not my thing, i couldn't accept the bad friendship Max and Chloe had.
unfortunately, I do not like deck nine. before the storm and true colors are bottom two for life is strange, because I don't like when companies make entire projects for fan service. I wish I did like them, but I just can't, but I am VERY excited for lost records and will be buying it immediately.
it's really sad, because it seems like SE kinda just use them to churn out fanservice games, when it's clear that D9 do genuinely have a passion for storytelling
Ugh no, i loved each life is strange releases. I even cried with my finale of the second one. Life is strange for me is one of those things i would want to relieve as a first time. I'm not the type to replay or rewatch something i've seen so i'm dying for a new story 🥺
It would be also nice to mention Dontnod releasing Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror which both felt like unofficial Life Is Strange games with their themes and formula. So Dontnod even if they no longer work on LIS, they kinda never stopped making games in the same 'realm'.
Thanks for this very informative video, it's great to have the update. True Colors is my fav of the LiS-style games but the themes really resonate with me. I suspect from what I've seen that taste in LiS games seem to hook with people, in a good way or a bad way, through themes based on what matters to them as humans and what they carry with them from their past. That's what makes these games so powerful and it's an incredible storytelling feat, even if the beats get repeated.
This is an amazing video, man! As someone who is a Life is Strange fan since 2015, I could sense the franchise growing 'tired' over the years! I think people embraced Before The Storm, even though I don't think it's a good game. But LIS 2 and True Colors did a small impact in comparison to the explosion that the first game was! And when I see the Lost Records premise, I really sense that this game is gonna be big. Like LIS 1 was in 2015!
thank you so so much! i really appreciate your comment - i think it's about time we let LiS live in our memories and embrace new games like Lost Records :)
I think the thing that really connects me to LIS2 the most is the relationship between Daniel and Sean. LIS1 more captivating and my personal favorite of the franchise but that scene in the church really hits hard and then the ending really highlights how well you raised Daniel. I personally got the ending where both brothers surrender and I like to understand the message of it as a rejection of the narrative the police and media portray. Despite what everyone is reporting, you have a choice to prove whether you are truly what they say you are or to reject the notion and face the heat.
I think that life is strange 2 was better then the first one only b/c of how much i can relate to it and ngl i cryed at the end of it. I wish we could get more from that game like a spin off or somthing but life goes on if not it can just live ad one of the greatest story games out there.
Imho the feeling of the first game most likely cant be replicated. Even though I am a dude I could totally relate to Chloe being that outsider character. Then the twist with her powers and the shocking moments realizing what certain actions had caused. The soundtrack. The feeling. The character buildup. Even though I personally liked LIS2 maybe even more, this is one of those experiences you wish you could forget. Just to experience it again.
I just really love the concept of having superpowers in a rather normal and relatable world, a world that just goes round without any people being aware of it or the government somehow being involved in the background. I wish there were more of that.
I loved Life is Strange 2, just as much as the original. But sure, I can understand that some people would have rather had a sequel of the original story with Max and Chloe. I definitely agree with the creators on that one though, the story is complete. Is it impossible to continue the story? No. But I really don't think it needs to be continued
honestly, LiS 2 is my favourite of all of them. It was beyond cruel and my heart still aches for Sean, but it touched me so deeply I can't even describe it. It's so sad that it got so little love from fandom. It's kind of ironical, really. as for "before the storm" imo it was unnecessary. it felt off for me right from the start and now I know why. for all my love to Max and her story, it really doesn't need full game as a sequel. their story is completely finished, it even has two different endings. hope dont nod will find their way to continue creating games without endless sequels
One thing I’m glad about is there will be one main protagonist that u play as yes there will be 4 main characters but u don’t play as the others which I feel like immerses you more
I played the first episode of life is strange, then the first episode of life is strange 2 and decided on the second. It was amazing I really, really loved the story and feel in love with the characters! So I immediately played it again. I hope there are a lot others who loved it as much. It is thought we'll through even though the ending is in every scenario a bid sad.
I feel like LiS2 sat with me differently, but not in a bad way. I remember it for how good it was, but it was also the first story game I’ve gotten a bad ending in. It sat with me weird, but I’m still so happy I played other
There is a rumor that there will be another life is strange game coming that is supposedly going to be called Life Is Strange Aperture and will as the main character to be Max from the first life is strange or at least have her in it
You phrased PERFECTLY why I didn’t really like life is strange 2! It’s not that it was a bad game, it just wasn’t what I wanted and it didn’t connect with me the same way the original did.
LiS and LiS 2 are such different games at the core of the stories they're trying to tell, it's no wonder why it kinda "split" the fanbase! tysm for your comment :)

Life is strange 2 is by far the worst LIS, It looks like it was written by a child. My god I hate this game.
@@123eem2bro played the game with his eyes closed😂
Life is strange 2 has a special place in my heart it was such a great game!
Same here. I want to see where Max and Chloe are now.
i would hope that the "canon" ending of lis2 would be the blood brother ending. @@orangeandblackattack4946
You can read the comics
LiS 2 was really really good actually. The dynamic between the brothers and the way you "raised" your younger brother was so interesting to go through.
it was such a good game :')
I actually found life is strange 2 to be the most relatable. All the games were really good, in different ways, but that was the one where I connected most with the characters.
Ah yes, I can totally relate to accidentally killing a cop and being chased down multiple states.
The music sound track for LIS is perfect.
literally need to find more bands that sound like syd matters
it's perfect for videos too! really relaxing
@@a2b._ i know a band that sound kinda like the one in the trailer and it’s called The Regrettes
I actually loved all the life is strange games. I think the best part about True Colors was how hard it was for Charlotte to deal with grief. I think her scenes of anger brought me to tears once they talked on the pier towards the end of the game and the music was perfect.
I loved true colors
yeah true colours was amazing
all of True Colors' best moments are when it's not trying to be Life is Strange 1 - all of derivative plot-twist stuff was kinda eh, but seeing the consequences of taking Charlotte's grief was genuinely thought-provoking and moving
"DNA. They like to use this phrase a lot." 😂 so true
that phrase had a chokehold on 2018 DONTNOD
also, long time no see :)
Well everyone making Lost Record from the Developers of Life is Strange (2015) to the Same writer that made the First Life is Strange Game.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Tell Me Why. I thought it fit the formula of "relatable characters with a twist of the strange" pretty well.
Legit... Or even Captain Spirit
There was even a LiS easter egg in Tell Me Why @@mattstansbeary3068
@@alexb7092 Captain Spirit was Don't Nod. It's part of Life is Strange 2.
@@mattstansbeary3068 I know? Idk why you're telling me this?
It's a part of the story, however it is a separate game, it came before LiS 2 and was a demo, I believe, not a DLC
I find it weird that they didn't mention this game is all, because despite it being linked to Life Is Strange 2, it's still technically its own game (single download, etc)
It was great to hear your voice again, I've missed the LIS discussions🥳 I wish the absolute best for the Don't Nod team in Montréal, hopefully they can pull it off again!
thank you so much! this comment means a lot to me :)
i really hope it's everything we want it to be
LiS2 is definitely my favorite tbh.
Facts if lis2 came out from 2020 to today it wouldve been huge
prob caused outrage because it is so clearly made by old white french guys trying to do actual racism themes in a country they don't live in. shit was wack
@@casswashwash1070 no
interesting that you mention Paper Girls, i wonder if DONTNOD took any inspiration from it? they took MASSIVE inspiration from twin peaks for the first game, so it does make sense!
Fans want max and Chloe but their story is finished. I think it’s ok, I want more but new characters and stories
I agree, as much as I wanna know what happened with them I seriously think that if we drag their story out its just gonna end up ruining it and in the end we are gonna consider it not canon due to it being shit.
I just want Max as an adult to see if she’s mastered her powers or if she’s left them behind all together but I don’t want more Chloe
me too! i'd love it if DN could make a LiS anthology series!
Exactly. I think at most one appearance from them would be cool, like Max in some news related to her photographs...
Creating new stories can work, as it worked very well with Sean and Daniel, in my opinion
@@amberrose3073 She is an adult in the first game.
life is strange 2 was my favorite, don't know why people couldn't have been more open-minded about a different story and characters. i'm excited for lost records, i know it'll be good if it's dontnod.
DONTNOD just have that perfect track record, if the new game is anything like LiS 2, i know i'll love it
@@CucuOnGames exactly!
I didn't know LiS2 wasn't that well recieved. I thought it was very well written and beautiful. I really rooted for the characters.
I loved the first one, but the second was really amazing to me. I feel all these stories are so important for young people and society in general. It really makes players empathise with stories they might never live. Sending some love to all the teams who made them!
sadly Square Enix kinda treat LiS 2 as the forgotten middle child, i LOVED it myself
I loved Life is Strange 2 so much, I still replay it from time to time. I hope this new chapter will follow its footprints...
i hope so too, i don't think there's really anything quite like it
I am so unbelievably excited for Lost Records Bloom and Rage! I really hope it becomes a cultural phenomenon like LIS!
it'll be a cultural phenomenon for me at least :P haha
i’ve always loved DontNod and their creative direction, it makes me happy to see studios with heart
Loved this video. Life is strange 1 was such an iconic game, I remember very vividly how fresh and tuned with the vibes of that time it felt ❤
it was a total game-changer, i miss it a lot! thank you so much for your kind comments :)
I loved Life is Strange 2 I really Connected with the characters and the whole brother's journey
yesssss same!! it brings me so much joy
Seeing you uploading is so good to see, feels kinda nostalgic in a way. Can’t wait for Lost Records: Bloom & Rage later this year
it feels really nostalgic for me to be working on videos too, honestly :) it's great
This was a great video! Probably unlikely, but I think it looks very promising, so I'll happily stay optimistic :)
thank you so much!
yeah, i felt like it was important to delve into the history of the franchise, both for the benefit of new viewers, and to, like you say, give a little refresher! i feel like this is going to be a very exciting year for LiS :)
your comment made me smile!
So good and refreshing to see you back in the feed! Im really curious about the Bloom&Rage, I've no expectations, Im welcomed to be surprised.
The LiSFranchsie roadtrip storyline feels so close.. yet so distant and nostalgic. Ah. time.

thank you so much! it's great to be making videos again :)
i really miss the journey of watching the LiS 2 episodes come out, i made so many good friends at that time :3
Love the story of Chloe price. Max her story is good too.. then comes the brothers story.. one of the best. True colors was for me ok enough.
massively agreed!
I feel like Deck Nine's games were more style over substance. I wanted to love True Colors, and I enjoyed it, but it didn't feel like the choices really mattered
massively agreed! i love the way TC looks, and i love the interactions on a micro scale, but the story is kinda shit
@@CucuOnGames Yes! There were a lot of great moments, but it didn't come together all the way

thank you so much! that really means a lot :) i plan on uploading a couple of bloom and rage videos over the next few weeks - i've got some theories cooking up :p
LiS 2 is and always will be my favourite of the entire series
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. I heard about this game but somehow missed the trailer.
no worries! hopefully it's everything we hope it'll be :)
"haven't had the courage to play again" ooooh you're so real 😭. it takes a brutal emotional toll, but i actually find talking to other people who recognize the genius of 2 makes it hurt less. hopefully you'll come around to it again soon!
i love lis2 so much
@@jackalantlersthis.
I feel most people who didnt like LIS2 are the ones who couldn't relate to it as much as others. The game was amazing but to each their own.
the reason why i liked it the most is because I’ve been on my own since 17 raising my little brother. i was forced to survive on my own at a young age. i never had a teen drama or high school experience. i had to protect my own little brother. so you’re right. i related to it more so I like it more. the OST was also deeply chilling and some of the best i’ve heard as a musician.

Just the trailer for Lost Records is getting my hopes so high up and making me nostalgic for when i first discovered LiS !

I’m happy to see another video, I’ve seen the trailer for this game and another TH-camr covered it as well but, I will sit through this video.
thank you!! i hope you enjoyed :)

It was nostalgic when you introduced the original Life Is Strange, it was cool when Before The Storm had its intro, but I got literal CHILLS when Life Is Strange 2 got its introduction.
Lis2 will always be my favourite no matter what anyone else had to say about it.
i LOVED making those little intros hahaha, i didn't wanna be too corny with it, but it was genuinely so much fun to cut together mini-trailers like that
i cant be the only one who actually preferred lis2 to its predecessor 😭
Youre not! ❤
im here 🙏
I enjoyed LIS1 as it released.
@@czerkitka141 this could literally be used to describe lis1. a girl with no personality and her annoying best friend

Just here to tell you I appreciate how crisp and loud your audio is.

Life Is Strange 2 IS AND WILL BE the best game of the franchise. It messed me up the most and I love it the most. Sean + Cassity forever!
I hope in the next game we dive more into Chloe and her ability to see the future through her dreams. In the prequel we saw moments of this of parts of her dream showing hints of what was coming. While every person has their limits to their ability, hers seem to be tied to how much she can spend with her dad before remembering his death. Plus then there’s Rachel, who seemed to be hinted at being able to manipulate the elements with her emotions, and that would be interesting to dive into as well
i really enjoyed how they hinted at supernatural elements in BtS!
Life is Strange is one of my favorite game franchise ever. So much heart so much personality and so much charm. I love it
there's certainly something special about it

My favourite is LiS2, it was an amazing, sad story. LiS1 wasn't as character wise really not my thing, i couldn't accept the bad friendship Max and Chloe had.

The fact that this new game is set not only in the 90's but on my birth year just warms my heart
i feel that, i have the same birthday as max caulfield, so that connection always makes me smile :P
unfortunately, I do not like deck nine. before the storm and true colors are bottom two for life is strange, because I don't like when companies make entire projects for fan service. I wish I did like them, but I just can't, but I am VERY excited for lost records and will be buying it immediately.
it's really sad, because it seems like SE kinda just use them to churn out fanservice games, when it's clear that D9 do genuinely have a passion for storytelling

i loved all of them, but LiS 2 hit particularly hard
every second I spend thinking about Life is Strange this game gets even better in my head

Before Lost Records, Dontnod worked on Tell Me Why which featured 2 twins that revisit their childhood trauma and try to uncover the murky details.
Before the Storm probably would have been an even bigger success had there not been an actor's strike.
Technically this would be 4 because life is strange true colors was listed as life is strange 3

i haven't actually! i did mean to pick it up when it released, but life got away from me :p
@@CucuOnGames life is strange, you know
It would be also nice to mention Dontnod releasing Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror which both felt like unofficial Life Is Strange games with their themes and formula.
2:29 Game also treats to the most overwhelmingly lovely OST your ears will ever hear.
Who's here after watching the trailer for LiS Double Exposure?
I just really love the concept of having superpowers in a rather normal and relatable world, a world that just goes round without any people being aware of it or the government somehow being involved in the background. I wish there were more of that.
I feel very nostalgic about life is strange 1 but i literally sob when i think about life is strange 2
One thing I’m glad about is there will be one main protagonist that u play as yes there will be 4 main characters but u don’t play as the others which I feel like immerses you more
YEAH i was actually kinda relieved to hear that, I was thinking four protagonists would get really messy
It's unfortunate because LIS2 is the only LIS I really like... Though I do intend to play lost records, I have mixed hopes for it.
I absolutely love ALL the games. I’m so srs 2 is my fav, then it’s true colors, then it’s lis1 They’re all masterpieces to me
I played the first episode of life is strange, then the first episode of life is strange 2 and decided on the second.
It sat with me weird, but I’m still so happy I played other
Life is strange 2 and before the storm are my favorites
W reaction bro I really love this franchise hopefully they will make another one love the first one is a classic
here's hoping!
I never even finished True Colors because it was bugged on PS5 during a main quest and I literally couldn't finish it as the prompts never appeared.
