You are doing an amazing job at teaching the girls how to be independent with all types of skills they’re learning 💕
With not knowing what the future holds they will have the knowledge for survival. I wish all the schools would teach survival skills to the students

On my bucket list for skills training next year, getting drop spindles and wool and practising :-D I do love the impromptu drop spindle with a dowel stick and a CD, very nifty. We have a huge wool industry in South Africa but seems not much of the wool is going to crafters for spinning and dyeing so it took a while for me to find a supplier and ordering a kit with raw, undyed wool and a normal spindle, but getting an extra Turkish spindle as well. I already dye fabric, so doing my own wool will be an extension .You inspire me to get into making my own wool

I am intrigued, what did I just watch? My Grandmother used a Spinning wheel to make wool into what ever that string was called, is this the next step in the process of making wool from the Sheering Barn so I can wear a sweater this winter to feed my Sheep in the Sheep Barn, that is also has the Sheering Barn? You Ladies are adorable, you have my respect. Because I would have got a drill and messed this all kinds of up.

Lol! Thanks! This is a drop spindle or spinning wheel bobbin lazy kate. The Lazy Kate holds the bobbin or drop spindle off the ground so that you can't ply from them.
