I haven't been to Melbourne for a while, but when I saw that Southern Cross Station and its stupid wobbly roof with all these kids standing around the Red Rooster sucking on Batteries, I just knew that of part of me had died inside. I mean, who won the bloody war anyway!
Ahhh yes, I was sitting by my 203 grandchildren, none of which are on the property ladder. But simply offered them a pork pie between them and saw their faces light up. Because today really is about gratefulness, something sadly lacking from the kids these days.
