For these types of videos where it's very story driven, no matter how little dialogue there is, if you can find a subtitled version you should try to watch that, and that goes for any BTS video. It's better to know than to not know, even if it's just one line. With this video in particular it is very important because there's an end scene that they took out from the original (don't know why) but remains in the subtitled version :) Hope you can watch it and you describing Jin as an observer is spot on 😊

Yeah this was missing the last scene as someone pointed out in the live comments, do check out the full video on cheesxcake's channel, it has also subtitles for all the spoken and written Korean. There isn't a lot but i't still quite important. The video tittle is "[ENG SUB] BTS 화양연화 on stage : prologue with lyrics [HAN/ROM/ENG]" When you get to the short films (if you havent recorded your reactions yet) I'd suggest you do the official video and then unofficial subtitled one like on Zero One's channel has a video of all the 7 short films put in one video so its easy to just watch one by one with subtitles. Some short films have more talk/written text than others but still. The video is titled "[ENG SUB] 방탄소년단 (BTS) WINGS All Short Films". But considering you didnt know what was spoken/written you still got quite a lot! Also love how Dennis you pointed out the story telling ways like Seokjin being the one who is behind the camera and what that could symbolize. And Tim yeah the song Butterfly is absolutely gorgeous, one of my favourites, and usually it's interpreted as being about loving a suicidal person. And yeah keep in mind who each member seems to be gravitating towards like you mentioned Yoongi and Jungkook^^ And considering the name is prologue, it might not be wrong to think most of this videos scene are happening before I Need U. Then some things I wanted to point out (no spoilers though): -Notice in the beginning when Seokjin is filming a butterfly, it seems to be flying backwards and Jin seems baffled bc of it. -The picture Seokjin showed to the others wasn't empty, it was the landscape of the beach they then visited. The colours are just very light in it so it's easy to think it's an empty photo^^ -It's not the same gas station Namjoon was working at in the I Need U, but it's easy to get those mixed up, most gas stations look pretty much the same :D

Without spoiling anything I think a good tip would be don't try to think of this storyline as linear. Keep your mind and perspective broad. The sky is the limit. Just cuz you are watching it in an order don't assume there is just one story happening with a clear beginning, middle and end. This way A LOT will make more sense to you. Also keep an eye out on the pairings indeed. They will keep showing up ;)
The photo was of the sea. If you look closely you can see white sky and very light blue below. There is a line across the picture to separate the two, then of cause they drive to the beach and run and play happily together so the picture was of the beach they had been to before. Photos are a sign of memories. V ‘s photo of his mum was a memory for him, Jin taking photos and videos is very important.

Just a friendly warning, making sure you realize the implications: You've repeatedly stated you don't want any "spoilers". But if I understand you correctly, you are going to watch an explanation video, when you've finished the MVs and short films. That would truly be the biggest spoiler of them all! If you watch an explanation video (XCeleste's is the recommended one), you will be totally spoiling your enjoyment of reading the Notes and the Webtoon. The Notes and Webtoon are the glue that holds everything together, the skeleton of the storyline which is then randomly, and utterly non-linearly fleshed out and illustrated with the visuals of the MVs and films. It is not really possible to figure out the whole storyline without the Notes - they were written for a very good reason. I don't want to overwhelm you with information here, but if you need more information about the Notes, just say the word. I can send you a complete listing, and a rough outline, no spoilers. There are ca. 250 Notes, covering a period of approx. 15 years (they are of varying lenghts, some are only half a page, others are 15 pages long). They seem to be diary entries of the seven boys, where they tell their interlocking stories in their own words (including their traumatic childhoods, how they met, and how they grew distant from each other). Each entry is dated, and can be placed in a chronological context. The complete corpus of Notes amounts to approx. 300 book pages. Most have been published in two volumes, available in English. An explanation video, like the excellent one of XCeleste's, is just one huge extended spoiler. It takes all the information from the MVs, short films, Notes, Webtoon, and other material, and shows it to be a huge, complex, multi-dimensional epic story about the seven boys' lives over a period of 20 years. They first started appearing during the Love Yourself Era, in little pamphlets accompanying the physical albums. So actually - at the time of I Need You, Prologue, Run, Young Forever, there were no Notes to help us figure this out, so you'll be just as confused as the rest of us were at the time. Later, these Notes were collected in book format, and a lot of new ones added. (At any time, if you need, I can send you a complete listing of all Notes, if you want to make sure you're not missing anything.) However, if you can get hold of the Notes, I would really recommend that you start reading them as soon as you can, - it will really save a lot of time and confusion. As for the Webtoon - this didn't appear until very late in the game, so you can safely wait longer. However, when you read it, things will really start making a lot of more sense. It's practically bursting with seriously disturbing "OMG!" moments and revelations that make you re-evaluate everything you know. Just don't make the mistake of underestimating BigHit when it comes to the BU. Many people approach the BU thinking it can't be that complicated, and that it'll be easy to figure out, but it is not! It is extremely intricate and deviously thought out. Even when you have all the pieces of this enormous, mind-boggling jigsaw puzzle, it is not an easy thing to make all the pieces fit comfortably. There's a certain reason for that, but I mustn't give it away. (I've been studying the BU since 2016, and I still can't pretend to know all there is to know...) Also, the story hasn't been fully told yet - there are a number of loose ends still dangling, and there is plenty of room for future creativity from Mr Bang and the amazing team of geniuses who are responsible for this unique phenomenon, which is being referred to as "transmedia storytelling" by academics lecturing on it! It's a whole new genre, which hasn't really been attempted before, combining narrative, diaries, lyrics, music, music videos, short films, and referencing world literature and art, philosophy and psychology, mythology and the occult arts. It is very difficult to speak about the subject to those who are just starting the journey, and want to find everything out for themselves. If you are watching BU storyline I suggest you watch with eng subs especially if it's a video with dialogues cuz they are important. You will always find the subbed videos if you type eng sub with the video name.

For these types of videos where it's very story driven, no matter how little dialogue there is, if you can find a subtitled version you should try to watch that, and that goes for any BTS video. It's better to know than to not know, even if it's just one line. With this video in particular it is very important because there's an end scene that they took out from the original (don't know why) but remains in the subtitled version :) Hope you can watch it

Yeah this was missing the last scene as someone pointed out in the live comments, do check out the full video on cheesxcake's channel, it has also subtitles for all the spoken and written Korean. There isn't a lot but i't still quite important. The video tittle is "[ENG SUB] BTS 화양연화 on stage : prologue with lyrics [HAN/ROM/ENG]"
When you get to the short films (if you havent recorded your reactions yet) I'd suggest you do the official video and then unofficial subtitled one like on Zero One's channel has a video of all the 7 short films put in one video so its easy to just watch one by one with subtitles. Some short films have more talk/written text than others but still. The video is titled "[ENG SUB] 방탄소년단 (BTS) WINGS All Short Films".
But considering you didnt know what was spoken/written you still got quite a lot! Also love how Dennis you pointed out the story telling ways like Seokjin being the one who is behind the camera and what that could symbolize. And Tim yeah the song Butterfly is absolutely gorgeous, one of my favourites, and usually it's interpreted as being about loving a suicidal person. And yeah keep in mind who each member seems to be gravitating towards like you mentioned Yoongi and Jungkook^^
And considering the name is prologue, it might not be wrong to think most of this videos scene are happening before I Need U.
Then some things I wanted to point out (no spoilers though):
-Notice in the beginning when Seokjin is filming a butterfly, it seems to be flying backwards and Jin seems baffled bc of it.
-The picture Seokjin showed to the others wasn't empty, it was the landscape of the beach they then visited. The colours are just very light in it so it's easy to think it's an empty photo^^
-It's not the same gas station Namjoon was working at in the I Need U, but it's easy to get those mixed up, most gas stations look pretty much the same :D

Without spoiling anything I think a good tip would be don't try to think of this storyline as linear. Keep your mind and perspective broad. The sky is the limit. Just cuz you are watching it in an order don't assume there is just one story happening with a clear beginning, middle and end. This way A LOT will make more sense to you. Also keep an eye out on the pairings indeed. They will keep showing up ;)

The photo was of the sea. If you look closely you can see white sky and very light blue below. There is a line across the picture to separate the two, then of cause they drive to the beach and run and play happily together so the picture was of the beach they had been to before. Photos are a sign of memories. V ‘s photo of his mum was a memory for him, Jin taking photos and videos is very important.

You've repeatedly stated you don't want any "spoilers". But if I understand you correctly, you are going to watch an explanation video, when you've finished the MVs and short films. That would truly be the biggest spoiler of them all!
If you watch an explanation video (XCeleste's is the recommended one), you will be totally spoiling your enjoyment of reading the Notes and the Webtoon. The Notes and Webtoon are the glue that holds everything together, the skeleton of the storyline which is then randomly, and utterly non-linearly fleshed out and illustrated with the visuals of the MVs and films. It is not really possible to figure out the whole storyline without the Notes - they were written for a very good reason. I don't want to overwhelm you with information here, but if you need more information about the Notes, just say the word. I can send you a complete listing, and a rough outline, no spoilers. There are ca. 250 Notes, covering a period of approx. 15 years (they are of varying lenghts, some are only half a page, others are 15 pages long). They seem to be diary entries of the seven boys, where they tell their interlocking stories in their own words (including their traumatic childhoods, how they met, and how they grew distant from each other). Each entry is dated, and can be placed in a chronological context. The complete corpus of Notes amounts to approx. 300 book pages. Most have been published in two volumes, available in English.
An explanation video, like the excellent one of XCeleste's, is just one huge extended spoiler. It takes all the information from the MVs, short films, Notes, Webtoon, and other material, and shows it to be a huge, complex, multi-dimensional epic story about the seven boys' lives over a period of 20 years. There are secrets and surprises at the story's core, that you haven't even BEGUN to guess at. It is very easy to misread the information in the MVs, because it is not presented in a linear manner. The Notes help you place the random events in a chronological, and logical context. But there's a catch, of course. I will say no more.

@@stufr.reacts You can safely wait with the Notes, but it doesn't really matter when you read them. They first started appearing during the Love Yourself Era, in little pamphlets accompanying the physical albums. So
actually - at the time of I Need You, Prologue, Run, Young Forever, there were no Notes to help us figure this out, so you'll be just as confused as the rest of us were at the time. Later, these Notes were collected in book format, and a lot of new ones added. (At any time, if you need, I can send you a complete listing of all Notes, if you want to make sure you're not missing anything.)
However, if you can get hold of the Notes, I would really recommend that you start reading them as soon as you can, - it will really save a lot of time and confusion. As for the Webtoon - this didn't appear until very late in the game, so you can safely wait longer. However, when you read it, things will really start making a lot of more sense. It's practically bursting with seriously disturbing "OMG!" moments and revelations that make you re-evaluate everything you know.
Just don't make the mistake of underestimating BigHit when it comes to the BU. Many people approach the BU thinking it can't be that complicated, and that it'll be easy to figure out, but it is not! It is extremely intricate and deviously thought out. Even when you have all the pieces of this enormous, mind-boggling jigsaw puzzle, it is not an easy thing to make all the pieces fit comfortably. There's a certain reason for that, but I mustn't give it away. (I've been studying the BU since 2016, and I still can't pretend to know all there is to know...) Also, the story hasn't been fully told yet - there are a number of loose ends still dangling, and there is plenty of room for future creativity from Mr Bang and the amazing team of geniuses who are responsible for this unique phenomenon, which is being referred to as "transmedia storytelling" by academics lecturing on it! It's a whole new genre, which hasn't really been attempted before, combining narrative, diaries, lyrics, music, music videos, short films, and referencing world literature and art, philosophy and psychology, mythology and the occult arts.
It is very difficult to speak about the subject to those who are just starting the journey, and want to find everything out for themselves. However, if you have any questions about the BU, that you would like answered, just ask.

I think you guys should have used the subtitled version because that has deleted scene that is a big clue for the storyline I think bighit deleted it pertaining to recent developments in the story as of late that make the scene lose its purpose but as you guys are just beginning the journey I suggest you watch that deleted scene in the subtitled version you... It translate all txt and writing and song lyrics mentioned in the On stage prologue ...
