I have never seen a Dr jab and stab an abscess with a blade like that before. Just the blade to cut open, then a cotton swab to poke around and not cause more tissue damage.

Cyst 101 draining a cyst without removing the sac is simply " the money shot" and somewhat neglectful.. I guess this way your patients will return again and again
This looks like an infected epidermoid cyst. I watch a lot of Dr. Sandra Lee aka Dr. Pimple Popper. I can't help it, I'm crazy about this stuff! Doc, your wife is your gift that keeps on giving!😂😂
Just wondering why u didn't use a "Q-tip" to break any possible loculations up. It was def pretty deep! Just curious to see how far out it went or if there were any hidden pockets
You use gauze only. Also you flush it out with sterile normal saline, no hydrogen peroxide or alcohol. If its deep or large enough you may need a drain so it can granulated from the bottom up, then place a bandage over the site and keep it clean. After the wound starts to heal, a warm compress may release drainage as well as pain and aid in the healing process.
Wasn’t there a casing that holds in the pus that should have been removed, so abscess doesn’t grow back again? I’m been watching Dr. Sandra Lee (Dr. Pimple Popper) videos.

I would say your wife has a skin condition called HS. I have this as well. I find that stress as well as inflammatory foods make it worse. (cows dairy, gluten, sugar, nightshades,) I eat the Autoimmune Protocol and find that I can almost control the abcesses ( and celluites) that way.
Hi Dr Paul, I was just wondering what the chain was about as it looked like it went in your wife’s back on either side of the cyst. Thank you for sharing this video ❤❤❤🇦🇺
Omg 🤦♂️ another doctor who doesn’t even know how to drain a cyst/abscess… Like I get that you want to make the smallest incision possible and minimize scarring, bruising, etc but you’re causing way more damage by squeezing the living shit out of for 10 mins then a proper incision would. There is most definitely a ton of pus and material left in the cavity. You barely drained any of it, made a small x as an incision which will definitely scar more than a single straight line, you just bruised the shit out of her skin and made it sore as hell for the next week. I mean just look how deep the syringe went in with no resistance! Then you get a thimble full of liquid contents out and called it good?!?! If you’re having to squeeze that hard for that long you either A) made the incision in the wrong place/need to make a larger incision to allow the contents to be expressed or B) need to do some blunt dissection to break up whatever loculations are in there. This is horrible and some other doctor is going to have to finish the job, but the patient will now have the area super inflamed and sore.

He meant to say “loculated” he’s just dumb and obviously got his medical degree as the prize in a Cracker Jack box. loculations are just smaller individual pockets of pus that must be broken up to drain effectively.
Why not use a mosquito besides you should also use a corrugated drain, more importantly find the focus of infection, rule out cyst and medically check her fasting blood sugar if it’s recurring and is happening at multiple sites.

If he would open her up and remove the whole cyst wall it wouldn't and couldn't come back!!!!
This is WRONG. Why would you show an incorrect way to drain an abscess?
This is 100% a cyst. It keeps coming back because the wall hasn’t been removed.
Someone's been watching Dr Lee 😉
He doesn't know what he is doing. He's a Quack!
looks more like an abscess, best treated with antibiotics

Have her go to a dermatologist to get the sac fully removed. The chance if it reoccurring are much much lower.
Here in Canada, we're strictly prohibited from administering to our family members

It’s a cyst, dr Paul!
Perhaps some dull dissection to help break up any loculations would have helped.
