It's actually very good interview technique. Most fighters usually aren't open or honest, particularly when it comes to the big one of "What do you fight for?" It's such a personal and complex thing to answer that they typically deflect or don't even truly know the answer themselves.
By bringing up Nick he gets him to talk about why he fights without ever asking the question directly. He avoids the typical responses of money, glory or that it's "In his blood" He gets the real answer which is he does it for the respect of his hero, his big brother.

Nate is definitely a difficult interview because of this, I really 100% don’t believe another person would have been able to do this long of an interview any justice at all; they would have not waited and felt awkward at the pauses and wouldn’t have been able to wait those pauses out to get such great thoughts out of Nate!
