This is precious. A golden recording of a most important tune. Very rare and very fine. The complete original version, unlike what is popularly sung these days
Great song, saw this on TV yesterday with my father in law in Clooney, I asked if he knew Robbie and he did . My wife went to school with his daughter I also found out! Great to hear the song sung in full!
Thank you for posting this version. This is one of the few very rare versions of the complete original version. I had seen Robbie McMahon singing a version of this without the final verse on a very old RTE documentary sang on the mountain lark. Other than this recording and the words written in an old irish song book nothing had come close to this version :-). Thanks again.
Always nice to hear it sung with original words, Why do people tinker with the lyrics like in "The popular version" Robbie's version is the definitve one.
paddy brennan well done.my late cousin recorded Robbie at the fair singing this on film at the fair a few years back,I'm going to learn and sing this version from now on.Up Clare!
This man's voice is pure music.
