    My wife picked up a 2024 base model CX5 in December. Got it for under msrp with 0% financing for 60 months. Comparable Rav4 or CRV was $3-4k more and no financing deals. We are very happy with the CX5, it’s one of the best bargains out there. Better ride and handling than the competition and I really appreciate a naturally aspirated motor with a traditional 6 speed automatic. Made in Japan and the build quality shows it.

    My wife bought that car highest non turbo trim and got the white seats which are beautiful and luckily she has me to clean them all the time :). It's the dark blue gorgeous shine after I polished it in prep before putting on a ceramic coat.

    We recently picked up a 24 CX-5 Carbon Edition for my wife. She LOVES the rotary controller. She said it's so easy once you get used to it. We haven't noticed the cup holders being an issue and the Carbon Edition doesn't have the wireless charger. We love the car. Everything you need, nothing you don't. My wife isn't a "car person" and all the buttons, bells, and whistles confuse her and she doesn't know how to use them. We traded her out of a Lexus NX300 and she likes the Mazda better. Especially since it's a non-turbo version and she can run regular 87 octane gas and she's getting 27mpg in mixed driving (mostly commuting).

    I think the screen size needs to be more descriptive. 10.2 inch screen says nothing but the measurements between the furthest corners. I think the total surface area of the screen or just use the screen height× width = total screen size.

    Thanks, for the review. As a 2019 CX-5 Signature owner for over 5 years now I still love how the interior competes with luxury brands for $10-15,000 less. I only wish the dark brown leather was a little lighter or a dark saddle brown/tan instead. Otherwise it's an almost perfect car for my wife and I. Also, we love the 40/20/40 spilt rear seat design, you only also see in the German luxury SUV's.

    I just bought a 2024 CX-5 Turbo Premium in January. I agree about the piano black trim around the shifter and next to the window switches. I would prefer that they just went with matte black or even better, black microfiber trim to match what they have on the dash of the Premium Turbo and use a dark wood for the Signature trim to match the wood on the dash. The piano black gets dusty fast and will scratch up as well unfortunately. The wireless phone charging pad overheats in about 10-15 minutes of charging. I get a message on Android Auto that the phone is getting to hot. The charger stops charging. So it's not very good. Almost useless unfortunately. I would complain to Mazda but I don't think it would do any good. I'm sure Mazda is not going to do a recall and tear the dash apart to replace it. I'm surprised that the Mazda engineers would put a charger in the CX-5 that clearly overheats. The wireless charger in our 2017 Camry works great and doesn't heat up at all so it can be done well. Other than that I love the CX-5. I feel like it's just as nice or nicer than most luxury SUVs up to about $55k. Quiet, luxurious, quick, great Bose stereo. Love the ventilated seats, wireless Android Auto, heads up display and safety features like rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring.

    I own the 2024 base model “Select S” package which has pretty much the same interior materials. There is no “real leather” trim but it’s very similar in feel. The seat color in mine is black, the same as the rest of the interior.
    Personally for the difference in money, which is around 10k, I’ll stick with mine. Everything I need, it has.
    BTW, Meguiar’s Scratch Remover will take those little abrasions right off the glossy piano plastic pieces.

    We own a ‘22 Signature we bought last year as a CPO with 5,000 miles. We saved $8k off of the original MSRP….so $34,000. I have owned several Lexus, Acura and Infiniti vehicles and the quality of our CX-5 is definitely on par, and much better than the RAV-4 and CR-V although priced the same or even less.

    Imo, the open pore matte wood looks nice but this desperately needs multicolor ambient lighting since its mainstream competitors like Tucson & Sportage have that, as well as pricier luxury crossovers & SUVs

    I owned a 2023 cx-5 signature for all of 30 days. The seats were brutal, stiff and caused a lot of pain to my left thigh. I also hated that i could not rest my elbow on the center console. Traded for a 2023 cx-30 turbo premium. Much better fit for me. I am a empty nester so could care less about the room in the back seat.
    Once again though, having problem with the seats. Mazda needs to address the seat issue in their vehicles. Multiple posts on line about seat discomfort. Love the way mazda drives but will not buy another one. As another poster mentioned a whine noise in the vehicle. Mine is noticeable upon exceleration. Reminds me of the old days when you put the wrong spark plugs in, you would get a whine. Changed to resister plugs and whine went away. Will have mazda check into it when i bring it in for oil change. Not expecting anything to be done about it. To bad it's painful to go zoom, zoom.

    I purchased a 2024 CX5 Signature in February mostly because I had a Mazda 6 Signature that was a very satisfying car. I cannot say that about the CX5, the speakers in the A pillars rattles and my CX5 has a buss and a constant whine. My 6 was very quiet and the same engine as the CX5 and I didn't not hear any of these nosies. I've taken it to the dealership twice with no results. They said the clips on the speakers in 4th A pillars were worn and cracked, how could this be in a car that was only a month old with less than a 1000 miles on it... the 1st time I took it in they said the noise was normal. I was a believer in Mazda not anymore. I paid 43k for a car that rattles and whines...yes the interior is nice and it drives well but for me the noises cancel out any of the positives that I cannot live with.

    • @brolyvi1211
      @brolyvi1211 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Might be just the clips. Remove the pillar cover and put it back in. I have installed a dashcam cable through jt and it is easy to put back. You’d be surprised how other car brands squek and rattles.

    • @joebruhin2098
      @joebruhin2098 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@brolyvi1211 They replaced the clips once, still vibrates and rattles...I'm more concerned about the annoying whine. My Mazda 6 had no noise at all and very satisfying the only reason I traded it was bc we needed an AWD...I regret trading it, maybe I just got a bad CX5, that's what I'm thinking, you also have to put a bit of force in closing the doors, not with the 6. The 6 was put together much better than the CX5.
