While nobody doubts panthers are heavy faves to win 2024, I think making out that broncos losing Farnworth and Flegler is a massive blow while glossing over panthers losing Crichton as a non-event is fairyland dreams.
Panthers lost Tamou and Mansour in 20 and won 21. Panthers lost Burton and Capewell in 21 and won in 22. Panthers lost Korisau and Kikau in 22 and won in 23. Panthers lost Crichton and Leniu in 23 and ……
I don't get what people mean by Reynolds needs to retire. Look how fast pace at 20 minutes was where Broncos took the game. And actually how active he was
Been on this train for months now, a short dropout shouldn’t result in the defending team regaining possession half the time. There’s literally no risk and ridiculous reward
@@Sensei_Sifu Yeah my first thought is just to make it deeper and get rid of that stupid bounce rule. If the ball doesn’t initially go, lets say 20m, then its a penalty to the other team. No waiting for the ball for a minute to eventually stop bouncing. I’m fine with short dropouts but they should be a risky option, not the safest one
Why was the grand final so similar to the Broncos season last year choking crashing burning gone absolutely blew their wad. Just remember voice if you eight first, your last Ricky Bobby
Don’t think Gus will step into the NSW coach role. He’s too close to Freddy and there is no upside for him to do it, especially now it’s a part time job. Tim Sheens seems to the most qualified candidate potentially available and experienced enough to pull off a win for NSW. An Origin win is the only feather missing from his otherwise complete cap.
fuck I get so sick of hearing about Cleary doesn't perform at origin. He has been apart of 3 losing series. 2023, the first game if Tedesco manages to play half decently and especially if Hynes manages to do a decent tackle attempt on munster, Blues win game 1. 2022, game 3, now the sinbinning for throwing a punch rule is so fucking ridiculous and I can't stand it..... But it is a rule, so when players do even WORSE things than throwing a punch, for example headlocking a player who is getting his head punched in, and then another player comes along and shoulder charges Burton who is headlocked AND getting his head punched in, gilbert and tino I think it was who did the headlocking HAVE to get sin binned also. It is absolute stupidity to not sin bin them for doing worse things than getting into a fair 1 on 1 scuffle..... and guess what, 3 sin binned qlders and you have a MUCH different game. 2020 game 3, again, a piece of shit body slamming an UNCONSCIOUS player, you want to talk about player welfare, and then that doesn't even get PENALISED!!!! or charged? that had to be a send off, at LEAST a sin bin and again, a much different game. But even ignoring that, at the end where the absolute definition of a penalty try (fastest player on the field would have run through with nobody else within metres of him to have an attempt at grounding the ball), and it doesn't get given a penalty try. Reffing in state of origin has been atrocious for a LONG time, don't even get me started on qld scoring their first 2 tries off 2 knock ons (1 debatable, but 1 as clear as daylight if you ask me) and then 2 forward passes (neither debatable, both left the hands going forward, it wasn't just momentum that made them "eventually" travel forward). But yeah, Cleary wasn't involved with that game anyway. But yeah from memory I think Cleary was playing a key role in that comeback where there should have been a penalty try that would have given NSW a chance to win late or go to golden point. If Cleary plays in game 3 2021 NSW whitewashes qld with all 3 games in qld, everybody conveniently forgets about that one don't they
When Cleary dominates origin you'll stop hearing about it fact is majority of people only watch 3 games a year and Cleary hasn't dominated in those 3 games so its going to get brought up
Game 2 2022 Cleary almost single handedly tied the series, 2 tries and total 24 points, 2nd highest from a Blues player in a single game. The origin argument is just what haters jump on to cut down the tall poppy, his stats in origin aren’t bad at all and it’s become a myth that he’s never done it in Origin. Either way he’s got plenty of time to re write the script.
the longer Crichton kick that forced a goal line drop out, when Turuva hit him and kind of rolled over him and Crichton finished the job, if Walsh did better (which he should have, even if Turuvas hit genuinely hurt him, there's a fucking grand final on the line, harden up..... I don't know if he was trying to play for the penalty by laying down or what), he literally could have just rolled another half metre or so into the field of play and Crichton's contact wouldn't have been enough to push him back in goal, Crichton only JUST got him in even with Walsh laying there crying like a little bitch for the half second or so in between Turuva and Crichton's contact. Literally a grand final losing play there. Possibly they would have gone on to lose anyway, but geez Walsh getting out of the in goal there would have helped the broncos SO damn much
@@homestarronny In pretty much every game this year the contact to the head was a penalty but they didn't officiate the game the same so it wasn't a penalty is that Walsh's fault or is that the ref's fault for being inconsistent
nah as a penrith fan we won't next year with Leniu, Crichton, Salmon, and Cogger leaving this year. Will all depend on whether Luai stays or not, if he leaves then we're fucked cause all 5 of our recent back up halves have been poached by other clubs now

@Dellasus2011 true but he didn't get the job done in the big game unfortunately
