@@GolfMates Too late now, I am 70 years old but I found my hidden gem. My house is on a golf course and I have another 6 great courses all withing a 45 minute drive from my house.
Liam, I've never played golf ( could never afford to), but came across your vlogs during lockdown and they made me laugh and cry in equal measure, thank you from a 64 year old non golfer 😂
Glad you all enjoyed it, a course I play regularly on the seniors open tour and love it, sometimes get the dolphins leaping while playing. For Simon's info, that was a gentle breeze on a windy day I've seen people hit woods to that little par 3. I live in Inverness and you have now done 4 of the courses I play senior opens on, we're very lucky in this part of the world.
Hidden Gems I played the course for the 1st time in July this year with my wife, an absolute fantastic course. We saw dolphins when we were on the 4th green. It’s one of my absolute favorite course’s - Fantastic.
Hidden gems! What a cracking video, some great golf, top camera work from Joe and a phenomenally beautiful course! Phrase of the day from Simon “That wind would blow a dog off a chain today mate”😂
I did a golf trip to Scotland , my wife thought a few days off would be fun. We played this course and added 2 more braid courses near by , boat of garten and Brora because his designs are so fun to play. This was the windiest course we played
Hidden Gems. Love this series so much it’s inspired me and 3 mates to arrange a weeks golf tour in Northumberland. If we have half as good a time as you it will be memorable. Thanks again!
Great video again lads, would love to see more behind the scenes. Even if the videos were 5/10 mins longer, but be good to see more banter in the car, a look round hotel and some clips from the pub and food after 👊🏻
Just taken up golf at 64 with my brother in law 68 enjoying every minute watching you guys not quite up to your standard yet but will keep going wi yed down
As the golf season winds down 5-6 weeks left here were I live in Ontario Canada the Golf Mates will be my go to channel for all my golf habits. Liam and the Golf Mates cast are second to none mate. It will be another awesome winter of Golf Mates👍👍🏌️⛳️🇨🇦
Hidden gems just got home from 9 hole game , i tried my best as am new at golf but love you guys , i think that course ypur on omg stunning , wish all the best boys keep up the great games lost count what i have eatch and what haven't , so watch them all over again ,
Hi Liam as you are a fan of a 9 holes course I would love to host you at our course in Southport. Some of the best greens in the area and like many 2 tees per hole. #SOLGC (Southport Old Links Golf Club). Thanks Nadeem
I played at Fortrose for the first time in 1975. I have made a point of playing there as much as possible since. A tremendous traditional fun and challenging links and always in perfect condition. Can’t be missed on a trip north.
I keep coming back to this series as life gets harder and harder. It is such a joyful series and makes me happy . I've only played golf about ten times in my life, hitting balls with a found of set of clubs in a harvested wheat field with mates . I'm 53 now and will never afford to be able to learn, but this channel makes me happy . I discovered you back in 2022? and have not missed an episode .
Hidden Gems - there’s no beating this series anywhere on the internet. These courses being shown to the world make me proud to be a golfing Scot. Well done lads 👏👏👏
You guys need to keep Simon on the channel for every video!! Without a doubt the funniest character and the most positive on the channel!! Always look forward to videos with Mr. Payne golfing with you guys !!
Hidden Gems... The three of you are great but Mrs. Payne would have been a great addition. I would love to see her and Mr. Barlow battle again. Cheers guys...
Great to see all of you together. Golf is such a great game. Played with my son in law at the Ocean course at Kiawah Island. Shot 82 from the governor's tees. Not bad for a 70 year old.
Hidden Gems - awesome choice lads. I took my family camping up that neck of the woods a few years ago. We stayed at Bunchrew caravan park and went across to the Black Isle to see the dolphins at Chanonry Point right next to the par 3 you guys finished on. I met my old college flat mate (Norrie Morrison, Fortrose and Rosemarkie GC member) there that night and we played one hole as he had his golf clubs in his car. We played the 5th hole you guys finished on. I had a 3 (lipped out for my birdie) and he took 4!! It was a great week camping. Would love to play the whole course. Looking forward to the rest of your Scottish Hidden Gems - enjoy the whisky! Slainte
That was one of, as you say a hidden gem if the other holes are as lovely as the holes we all viewed even the walks along the beach towards the light house looks like heaven.
Hidden Gems. Definitely a hidden gem Liam but a real test of golf in that wind but on the coast you have to expect it, you guys are certainly having so fun.
@@GolfMates love links golf,my ideal would be to spend the whole summer just playing different courses up there.. just need my lottery numbers to come up!!!!
Fortrose & Rosemarkie is a great course, played there about 30 years ago and always wanted to go back. Keep up the good work Liam your trips always remind of the good times had playing golf over the years😂
One of the true 'hidden gems'. I've never played the course, but have driven or walked through the course to watch dolphins from Channonry Point by the lighthouse. The views over to Fort George are spectacular, and the course looks OK too!!!
Fortrose has always been a gem, hidden on the Black Isle. Played there 35 years ago as a junior in the local Open. Home course was Reay and loving the opportunity to revisit these fantastic courses in the far north. Now living in Brisbane, 5kms from Simon's home course and next door to Wantima (Cameron Smith's home course) but wish I was back in Scotland after watching these videos. Well done team and well done camera man!
I left Scotland, Nairn in 1979 for South East Asia but watching your hidden gems has really made me homesick
So sorry, hope you can come back?

Another beautiful course but consider leaving the boss to sing his own songs!! Do keep up the banter cuz laughter is truly a powerful medicine :-)
Just love Simon on the channel. He springs a Camillo Villegas reference out of nowhere. You can't script that kind of humor.
