The 2022 Kink Switch utilizes a dialed in geometry designed for those that want a bike for technical riding. To help this style of riding, the components chosen have characteristics to help such as geometry and material used to make them. The Kink Trident fork has a 26mm offset, 1-piece steerer tube, and is constructed from 100% chromoly. The Mission Deploy freecoaster helps chain tricks together whether you are rolling forward or fakie, meaning fakie manuals just got a whole lot easier. Kink even took grinding into consideration and included 2 Mission nylon pegs. The Kink Switch slays manuals and 180's bringing more lines together in the streets and in the park.

I am 33 now and I was real into bmx back in 2000 up until about 2007, haven’t done bmx since… now I’m lookin to get back into it, I still have my Hoffman an my main bike which was a wethepeople daredevil, it’s on the small side I believe it was a 20.25 top tube, I’m 5’8 an just lookin to get into riding again an you helped me get on track thank you, I really dig this Kink switch🤘🏻thank you for what you do !

Best bike ive ever had, fractured 5 ribs on it this summer.
I'm stuck between this and the Whip. I love both. I know the Switch will end up costing more upfront, but less in the long run. I will 100% replace the 4 piece bars right away though. I just don't like them. But my 3rd option is the Subrosa Letum. I have no idea when Subrosa's 2022 line will be released. However, I feel like the Letum this year will be around $700, which will count it out for me. I always bought from Dan's Comp. It's who I trust.
Note - Totally agree with the color scheme. It's weird, but the more I see it, the more I like it.
Not a fan of the switches saddle but that's always changeable. Got this one for my little brother!
One of the young guys at the local skate park has a '22 Switch. It's a nice ride and the Mission freecoaster works surprisingly well. The bars it came with had a lot of sweep on them so he switched them out for some Salt 4-piece bars that had less sweep. Pretty sure he put better brakes pads on it, too. He blew the headset bearings out in the first week and the bike store he bought it from replaced them for free. All in all, it's a well-priced ride.

If you plan on staying in it long term, the yes. Very good bike. Instead of getting something entry level that you're going to keep replacing stuff on, get yourself something solid and save money in the long term.
I love kink but I had to get a new frame/bike because I bent my chainstay on the whip. Are the dropouts/chainstay tubing pretty thin on this badboy?
They kinda are but there not like to thin
Do you mean that you bent the whole chain stay or like you dented the chainstay? (The dents happen a lot from the bike getting dropped and the crank will hit the chain stay tube and add a dent)

What change on the 2022 model that the Doughsterbob score sheet jump in park to 6.92 and on dirt it improved to 4.10. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Hey Luis! All of the bikes faced big changes in 2022 not because the bikes changed but only because the way the bikes are scored changed. So the 2021 model would also have the same scores as the 2022 the only difference is the value score will be lower on the 2022 since the prices went up
@@Dougsterbob thank you, Iam so frustrated looking for a bike that can give me the best of both worlds park and dirt, Iam 5 feet 8 inches tall, I submitted for a bike recommendation on your site however on the style of riding you can only select one option. Maybe I need two bikes hopefully not.

Would this be a good bike if I’m 5’5, or 5’6?
5'5" to 5'6" should really be on a 20.5 at the most. The 20.75 on the switch will feel bigger and more stable but almost too big. You could ride it and get used to it though.
I recently bought a 2022 Kink Switch, and it came with hub guards. In the video you state it doesn't come with hub guards, did you say that on accident or am I just lucky that mine came with them on?

@@r0bert_carr893 If you're looking for a WTP complete, you're better off getting the 2021 models. I got the 2021 Battleship a month ago. I was gonna wait for the new models, but didn't want to pay $200-300 for for the same bike. Plus I LOVE that raw color.
I admit I'm a noob so here's a stupid question: this bike does not come with a brake right?
it comes with a brake, but the bike was made to be ridden w out brakes so they added the ability to take all the brake system(parts) off.

20.75 is definitely the sweet spot the 21TT is good to a little bit more room very stable.
