Thank you so much for this information. I have a question, what if i did not include that i will be the one to administer the assessment test to my child. What would be the next steps for me?

That is okay. Did you write a statement to your district that stated which test your child would be taking? As long as you had the name of the test you are within the regulations.

So interesting. Why can’t we put the public schools on probation since a good majority of their students struggle with growth in all areas. lol that’s crazy!

I just read an article about the results of the NYS public schools Math & ELA tests for grades 3-8 from the 2022-2023 school year. Low proficiency across several grade levels.

This will be my first year testing. Do I write in 3rd quarter for testing THIS year for when the testing occurs?

Yes, I would include your plans for testing in your Q3 report (the name of the test you are going to use). Then after you test and have your results, send them along with your Q4 report.

I have a question? I have an upcoming kindergartner... Do I have to register her now or wait until 1st grade?

Will your daughter be 6 years old by Dec 1st?
State law “Parents must comply with the homeschool laws starting in the school year in which they turn 6 on or before December 1.”
So if she WILL be age 6 by then, you should start reporting to the district in which you reside. For families who live in New York City (within Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, or Staten Island), this notice, and all homeschooling correspondence, should instead be submitted to the New York City Department of Education’s Office of Home Schooling.
      I hope this helps!

@@leelee185 what grade is your kiddo in? Because you can write a narrative instead of giving a test for grades 1-3, and then write a narrative every other grade until grade 8. Be sure to watch the full video, I explain everything in depth.
Here is where I order my tests from: shopchristianliberty.com
I give the test in my home, then mail it back to the company and they score it. They mail me the results.
