If only I could turn back the hands of time, you are who would have inspired me back in the day. I'm 43 and now a widow, but I admire you and your husband and how the two of you build things together. I am and used to be really, really great with my hands, but my hubby would ALWAYS say, "Stop trying to be the man and be the lady." Instead, he should have said, baby, let's build together! I loved the before cabinet pulls, and the sink faucet. But to lighten up the thick, strong look, I would have changed out the drawers to knobs. To continue to lighten the look, I would have changed out the shelves with a thinner metal. One day you might want to add some color, paint either the upper or lower cabinets a different color like white on top, a light blue/gray for bottom cabinets. And I really like a little vintage/modem mix. But the bottom line is always that you love your design.
The new cabinet handles makes a marvelous difference.

i think the best part about these renovations, is the fact that most of them were done with your husband & you did not have to rely on another man to do so. this is what truly make a house a home. the lifetime memories & the love shared in it. a house is just a structure, a home is the love invested in it.

Why are you waiting for Marcus to build you a refrigerator enclosure? You know how to measure, cut, use power tools! I'm a 71 year old woman and I have been doing my own projects by myself for 40 years. I will admit that last year when I hung new wall cabinets in my laundry room it was the hardest thing I've done in awhile but I love beautiful homes and don't have time to wait for my husband to do anything for me!! You can do it, I know you can!!

I love your new remodel, kitchen, but the only thing in the kitchen looks out dated is the refrigerator it's very tiny. You need a new bigger one of ss newer model kind it will brighten up the kitchen. Marcus did a wonderful job on replacing the knows and facet. ❤..

Everything looks good, but I think you should've painted the door black to match the handles and the fault. You guys save a lot of money by DIY. Love the way you guys work together 👍🏾
Black could definitely be an option! It'll change eventually! I'm just hesitant about going too dark bc then I'd have to prime over it to get a lighter color! lol

Everything looks gorgeous, I like using wood tones as well , is there a way to mount spice rack on the tile wall over your stove it would bring the wood on that side or would it just stand on the stove.......just a thought whenever you use it ,it will be nice thanks for sharing 😊

I have an idea for your kitchen window. A peel and stick window film. Amazon has a brand called Artscape. The dollar tree also has a frosted peel and stick window cling for $1.25 with multiple patterns. Just an ideas. As always everything looks amazing.

I really liked it the old way but I love the modern look. Tbh when you first decorated your kitchen THIS is what I expected you to go with because you have an old school/antique like kind of style. I’ve always thought it was so cute because of how young you are ☺️
THE DOOR: i think it would look nice in either 1. White or gray with blk trim (for example around the window) 2. Black with white trim 😂 or 3. Strip the paint and stain it to match other wood finishes in the kitchen

Coloring the shelves is exactly what I was thinking. Have you thought about taking the wreath off of the oven hood and minimizing the brick a brack on the fridge to created more symmetry?
