So it really is about the MAGIC between the whole cast and writing! Exhibit 2: at 1:02 everybody knows Julia's speech... Look at Suzanne's reaction! The gratitude and love she shows seeing her sister stand up for her, conveyed all without a word. 😭🏆👏
Damn this show is basically The Golden Girls in the south LOL. Dixie Carter is Dorothy, Delta Burke is Blanche, Jean Smart is Rose and Annie Potts is Sophia.
Such a really great show! Great ensemble cast. I still enjoy watching these sassy women. It's a shame 2 of the members of the cast have passed on from this world. Rest in peace Dixie and Meshach.
I think maybe the divorce and her relationship and support from the other women changed Mary Jo. She learned how to stand up for herself and be more confident.
The same reason my high school choir sang at least one song in Hebrew at our Christmas concerts in the 1980’s, being fair to everyone and being ecumenical.

So glad to know the story about how the lights went out in Georgia!!

But the Golden Girls was in the south. Further, in fact. Miami.
@@elevatordj6459 Well, come on Miami, Florida isn't anywhere near as southern as Atlanta, Georgia, take it from someone who grew up there lol.
They all made me laugh!

Three have passed away. Meshach Taylor, Dixie Carter, and Alice Ghostley.
That was Julia's most spectacular rant.
Julia Suger Baker had a big sister button, God Help Anyone who set it off!
Loved the theme music

Wonder Woman in 2017 saw Mari Jo’s vision}

Mary Jo was so different in the first season... hehe.
I don’t get it . Different in what way ?
@@jenn6294 maybe more the few first episodes... the way she dressed...carried herself. She wasnt as... rambunctious and outspoken as she became. :D

U why did they sing Ave maria at a protestant (evangellical) wedding?
The same reason my high school choir sang at least one song in Hebrew at our Christmas concerts in the 1980’s, being fair to everyone and being ecumenical.
Because Julia Sugarbaker.
Because gorgeous.
😌🏆👏
Why the fuck are people laughing during Julia’s monologue!?
Because it's hilarious seeing a rude ass b***h get put in her place by a sophisticated, intelligent AND beautiful woman. 🤷🏻♂️👏
