- Before there was Cold Spring Cable, there was the C-Tec Cable Company (Channel 8) which was a genuine, local cable company that served the greater Carmel, Brewster and Mahopac areas. Join me, as well as a young "Tigman" (Popular DJ from radio station WPDH) as we interview various people from local businesses and establishments.

That was my uncle's restaurant. I grew up going there all the time in the summer and hanging out at the Ben Franklins at the other end of the plaza with my grandmother!

I remember playing Dragon's Lair and Pole Position in that arcade! Also ran into Captain Lou Albano once while walking between stores. Good times.
You dunno how long I've been looking for footage on early 90's Carmel lol... I was barely 18 months old when this was shot but it all looks so familiar to me. I lived in Carmel from January of '89 to early 2012 and loved every minute of it. Where was the last clip taken -- it looks like a video store. I vaguely remember there being one on the corner of Towners Rd & Route 52 which is now some plumbing business. There was also another video store in the Shoprite plaza that went out of business in the late 90's when Blockbuster came to town and ruined everything! Thanks for the hazy memories.
H.S. Moccio that video store was called video forum. it was in the Putnam Plaza by segrettis. The swinging doors you can see on the side was the adult section. As a kid I'd try to sneak in there.
Jeez… the video store on towners rd, I lived next to it in the 3 story building in an apartment back in 2005 when I was about 2 or 3… lots of memories
@@Johndoeshart I lived in that apartment building, the facing 52, back in the mid-80's. Third floor the apartment to the left.
@@PhilVecchione I was the exact opposite hahaha, the one apartment on the right of the building on the first floor. The building was white back then but I think they have since repainted / remodeled it. 418 NY-52 was the address I believe

good old days only thing left is shop rite that is remodeling the store right know i think the rest of the stores went out

I live about 5 minutes from these plazas and I'm trying to figure out exactly where that Carvel is. Which store is in its place today?
