This probably the best thing you could learn before BOC, I'm from server 1189, and just won our first BOC yesterday after getting destroyed the first time, needless to say it was the first time i had used the ghosting strat, really saved me against all the whales. 😂

This is great info..if your are playing PvP on YOUR server. It will be a different ball game when fighting PvP on the enemy server During SVS . I think the ghosting technique will still apply, however there is a possibility to lose the attacking march when it’s returning back to the keep after an attack, because you can’t bubble in enemy server. Also, would like to learn techniques to capture and retain temples on enemy server. Thank you for all the info so far.
Thank you 😊 This video is meant to cover the basic techniques for PvP. SvS is a bit advanced above regular PvP, so the requirements are a bit different, but all the same basics still apply. 😉👍 The process of fighting for temples in SvS is similar to battlefield. The details are a bit different, but same basics. If you want to get better at that, then I suggest practicing in battlefield 👌
very helpful as always, your first part cracked me up would it possible for bootcamp 102 to know how to attack keeps with huge amount of T1 & which layers to use vs someone with big sieges, ground, cav & range (example 1m siege, 1.5m range, 2m cav, 1m ground with like 500k T1s layers)
Your Watch Tower needs to be at least Lv 17 to see the number of reinforcements. And then, needs to be at least Lv 27 to see the types (tiers, troop type, amount) of reinforcement troops 👌
It wasn’t mentioned, thanks for bringing it up. For events like SvS, yes, that would definitely be the best thing to do, but from a general PvP standpoint, it wouldn’t be practical to empty out your resources every time before you attack. 👌 Also, since this is an introductory video to PvP, I didn’t mention it 😉
Thank you for that video. It is great for people learning like me. I do have a question on alliance science. What science items does your alliance concentrate on? We are battlefield, SVS, PVP minded. I want to be sure we concentrate on the right ones. I am guessing when your team contributes they contribute to those items you focus on. When you contribute do you spread them around? As an example contribute 2 times to each science item until you reach 4? Thank you for all your information.
Glad to help 😊👍 As for alliance science, in my alliance, we generally focus on troop related science for buffs. The R4/5 sets the suggested science and we pretty much just donate to that one. Practically no spreading out. Once the science is done, we suggest the next one. That’s pretty much it. Tbh, at the stage we are at, we don’t spend much time thinking about alliance science 😄

Hi Tom 🙂👋 To put it simply, No, the buffs from sub generals to not apply. However!, the debuffs from sub generals do apply when attacking, so long as they are included in the attacking march 👍 Robert is an OK general to have on your wall. However, as you progress, it is very likely that other generals such as George Dewey, William Marshall and Leo III would be more useful. Someone like Leonidas would also likely be a more attractive option than Robert. That being said, you could definitely use him if you wanted, either as a main general or an assistant. My advice:- Don’t commit too much to Robert just yet 😇

Evony switches up the contents of the boxes every now and then, so it’s not fixed. What I do is I compose 1 box of each and check what’s inside. Then I use the remaining cards to compose the boxes I want. There are some forums that post that information for every event, but I’m too lazy to go and check them 😅😂

Trust me, when I was just starting out in SvS way back (at K26), doing this saved me a few times. 😉 I still got zeroed when the big boys showed up though 😅😂
Hi Aka, thanks for your video. I'm just learning to pvp, and I have a question. It's something that's been puzzling me. You mentioned scouting first before attacking. I can see where that would be useful info to have. However, when you scout, don't your target get warning that someone is going to attack him? Won't that motivate him to ghost all his troops? Then you won't have anything to hit once you decide to attack. Thank you!
Hi 👋. Glad you are finding the video helpful ☺️ As for your question, yes, that is a very valid possibility. However though, the keep might be a trap which is reinforced. In that situation, if you didn’t scout, you would splat. So there’s a bit of a trade-off there If you go and attack blindly, yes, it might work a lot of the time. But the 1 time it doesn’t, that might bring a much bigger problem

I'm having difficulty on the timing of the attack, like for when the other player's march is going back into his keep then you want to attack that? Sometimes game lag is the problem though. Aka, what if you have more troops, I.e I have over 4m troops with a lvl 30 keep, so I can’t possibly ghost them all. So I will not be able to empty my keep

Glad to help 😊👍 Yeah, I got lucky with the general chest as well and had the same decision to make. Tbh, it would depend on which general would be more useful to you. That is, whether you have a good ranged general and a good ground general right now. In my case, I decided to go with Alessandra. I felt at that, at the end of the day, my ground would benefit more. Btw, I was unfortunate enough to not get Kaguya previously, so it was a tough choice for me.

Listen up here Ryan! A March Preset is an order of troop layering that you have set up beforehand. You can set it up in your Rally Spot. There’s a video on the channel that looks at a simplified version of setting up Attack Layering Presets. Check it out if you haven’t seen it. Presets are very important for attacking. Without them you will lose time and possibly lose a lot of troops. In that case, there’ll be no amount of help that will Save you, Private Ryan! 😉😁
Load is the amount of resources your troops can carry, say if you send them out to gather, or you get resources from attacking a keep. The higher the load, the more resources your troops can hold. March size just refers to the number of troops you can send out. The higher the capacity, the greater the number of troops you can send 👌
Someone keeps attacking me constantly and they send all of their troops to my empire so that i cant do anything, and my high level defense genrals keep getting killed, and i have already lost several top tier pvp generals, what should i do

First time playing, and confused. I'm a Level 17 and when i PvP, 1/3 of my force dies, and I just wound their entire army, for little resources. What am i doing wrong?
What if you ghost all your troops and you still have like a hundred million in your keep? Because that's a problem I'm having. I ghost all my troop bunker at 34 with a general. And I have a rally spot General. Can you please help me?
In that case, there really isn’t much you can do, as the amount of troops you can ghost is limited by your march size and your march slots. What you’ll have to do now is focus on improving your defense: your wall general, defensive buffs and debuffs. Then you can also do some selective ghosting. I will cover that in another video 🙂👌
If all my troops are out, why would it be a massacre when my castle is attacked without wall general ? I thought that's the purpose of ghosting. I'm ignorant on this, please guide me.
If your troops are ghosted, then there’s no problem. 👌 If when you are ghosted and you are attacked, your wall general and sub troops could be killed. Your main troops will still be fine since they are ghosted. 👌 If you drop your ghosts without reviving your wall general and subs, and you get attacked, ... it will be very bad 😅😅
@@RedEvony Thanks for replying Aka. I always create troops enough for 4 full marches only. After that I would be concentrating on leveling up, so My 5th March would always be incomplete. This way, I can ghost my troops, remove my wall and duty generals, and simply let myself attacked (bait), when my allies hit the attacker back, either as reinforcements or directly from their castle. Since I'm only K27, works like a charm in every BoC, BoG 😄
The simple answer is timing. Only you know when you will unghost your troops. So you time it such that you unghost and port back to your server without anyone noticing and without you getting hit 👍
Yo Aka, listen....i ghosted on boss monsters and hid my guys in relics. I unlinked my subs. I removed my wall generals. My archer tower general was captured during an attack. Did not know that could happen. Are all duty generals susceptible to capture or only military duty generals???
Yes. The same way your wall generals could be killed or captured, the same applies to your duty generals (captured only. Never seen a duty general killed in an attack before). It’s random, so no telling if an attack will definitely capture a duty general, or how many duty generals will be captured (because it can be more than 1 😅). And yes, it applies to all generals that you have placed on duty
Already covered 😌👍 I have a video on attack layering on my channel. You can check it out, if you haven’t already. Attack layering, though a basic of pvp, can be complicated enough to be treated separately. That’s why I only mentioned checking presets in the beginning, and didn’t go into setting them up 👌
Ghosting on bosses doesn't have to use stamina up - if you set your ghosts on a boss you can kill, rather than cancelling, kill the boss and then send the ghosts at the boss - when they get there and there's no boss you get your stamina back. That said, you don't want to waste gems sending the rallies early so setting them for an hour means you are stuck waiting for that timer to run down.
Hmmm, that really depends on a number of things, including your preference, if you have alts, etc. I can’t say definitively how many of each you should have, but as a guide, here’s what I have: Army Camps -3 Farms - 8 Mines -7 Sawmills - 6 Quarries - 6 Of course, different people will have different numbers. Must be nice to be on a server that actually has bandwidth. That kind of activity would crash our crappy server. Over here in crappy town server 1208 we get stuck in buildings, have marches that take several minutes to "prepare" , teleports that that doesn't work, incoming attacks that land before you are even notified one is on its way and a stack of unanswered tech support tickets as tall as a man. The developers of this game are seriously disproportionately applying resources to the point where it's not even worth try BOG, BOC or server War.

A bit, yeah. You can definitely attack without ghosting, but that is a risk you are taking. Once you get used to it, ghosting literally takes seconds to do and could really save you. And if you do it right, it’s unlikely that you will be attacked while trying to ghost. It’s very important to learn and get down right 😉👌
Gen Aka Sir! One more good advice while doing pvp is to take off the Generals that you have on Duty because if you are attacked they may also die. And I say that with all due respect Sir🫡
Yes that’s true, Recruit Annie. However, with ascension buffs and duty generals like Ashoka that give PvP buffs, you’d still want them on duty during PvP. I hope I’ve made myself clear! (General Aka)
If you are under level 20, your main focus should be growing, not PvP. However if you still want to PvP, everything still applies. You just have to scale it down

Robert is an OK general to have on your wall. However, as you progress, it is very likely that other generals such as George Dewey, William Marshall and Leo III would be more useful. Someone like Leonidas would also likely be a more attractive option than Robert.
That being said, you could definitely use him if you wanted, either as a main general or an assistant.
My advice:- Don’t commit too much to Robert just yet 😇

Evony switches up the contents of the boxes every now and then, so it’s not fixed. What I do is I compose 1 box of each and check what’s inside. Then I use the remaining cards to compose the boxes I want.
There are some forums that post that information for every event, but I’m too lazy to go and check them 😅😂

As for putting your Li Jing as defense general, if you don’t have a dedicated wall general that is fully developed, this is the next best thing! Trust me, when I was just starting out in SvS way back (at K26), doing this saved me a few times. 😉

Hi Aka, thanks for your video. I'm just learning to pvp, and I have a question. It's something that's been puzzling me. You mentioned scouting first before attacking. I can see where that would be useful info to have. However, when you scout, don't your target get warning that someone is going to attack him? Won't that motivate him to ghost all his troops? Then you won't have anything to hit once you decide to attack. Thank you!

As for your question, yes, that is a very valid possibility.
However though, the keep might be a trap which is reinforced. In that situation, if you didn’t scout, you would splat.
So there’s a bit of a trade-off there
If you go and attack blindly, yes, it might work a lot of the time. But the 1 time it doesn’t, that might bring a much bigger problem
@@RedEvony I didn't think of that--the reinforcements. Good point there. I'm having difficulty on the timing of the attack, like for when the other player's march is going back into his keep then you want to attack that? Sometimes game lag is the problem though. Aka, what if you have more troops, I.e I have over 4m troops with a lvl 30 keep, so I can’t possibly ghost them all. So I will not be able to empty my keep

Tbh, it would depend on which general would be more useful to you. That is, whether you have a good ranged general and a good ground general right now.
In my case, I decided to go with Alessandra. I felt at that, at the end of the day, my ground would benefit more.
Btw, I was unfortunate enough to not get Kaguya previously, so it was a tough choice for me.

A March Preset is an order of troop layering that you have set up beforehand. You can set it up in your Rally Spot.
There’s a video on the channel that looks at a simplified version of setting up Attack Layering Presets. Check it out if you haven’t seen it.
Presets are very important for attacking. Without them you will lose time and possibly lose a lot of troops. In that case, there’ll be no amount of help that will Save you, Private Ryan!

Can you explain the difference between All Troops Load and March size capacity.
Load is the amount of resources your troops can carry, say if you send them out to gather, or you get resources from attacking a keep. The higher the load, the more resources your troops can hold.
March size just refers to the number of troops you can send out. The higher the capacity, the greater the number of troops you can send 👌

First time playing, and confused. I'm a Level 17 and when i PvP, 1/3 of my force dies, and I just wound their entire army, for little resources. What am i doing wrong?
That will depend on several factors. Will have to look at some reports before I can say anything

In that case, there really isn’t much you can do, as the amount of troops you can ghost is limited by your march size and your march slots.
What you’ll have to do now is focus on improving your defense: your wall general, defensive buffs and debuffs.
Then you can also do some selective ghosting. I will cover that in another video 🙂👌
If all my troops are out, why would it be a massacre when my castle is attacked without wall general ? I thought that's the purpose of ghosting. I'm ignorant on this, please guide me.
If your troops are ghosted, then there’s no problem. 👌
If when you are ghosted and you are attacked, your wall general and sub troops could be killed. Your main troops will still be fine since they are ghosted. 👌
If you drop your ghosts without reviving your wall general and subs, and you get attacked, ... it will be very bad 😅😅
@@RedEvony Thanks for replying Aka. I always create troops enough for 4 full marches only. After that I would be concentrating on leveling up, so My 5th March would always be incomplete. This way, I can ghost my troops, remove my wall and duty generals, and simply let myself attacked (bait), when my allies hit the attacker back, either as reinforcements or directly from their castle. Since I'm only K27, works like a charm in every BoC, BoG 😄

When on the enemy server and you ghost all your marches. how do you unghost successfully without getting hit and possibly losing troop?
The simple answer is timing.
Only you know when you will unghost your troops. So you time it such that you unghost and port back to your server without anyone noticing and without you getting hit 👍

Yo Aka, listen....i ghosted on boss monsters and hid my guys in relics. I unlinked my subs. I removed my wall generals. My archer tower general was captured during an attack. Did not know that could happen. Are all duty generals susceptible to capture or only military duty generals???
Yes.
The same way your wall generals could be killed or captured, the same applies to your duty generals (captured only. Never seen a duty general killed in an attack before).
It’s random, so no telling if an attack will definitely capture a duty general, or how many duty generals will be captured (because it can be more than 1 😅).
And yes, it applies to all generals that you have placed on duty

Attack layering, though a basic of pvp, can be complicated enough to be treated separately. That’s why I only mentioned checking presets in the beginning, and didn’t go into setting them up 👌
Ghosting on bosses doesn't have to use stamina up - if you set your ghosts on a boss you can kill, rather than cancelling, kill the boss and then send the ghosts at the boss - when they get there and there's no boss you get your stamina back.
That said, you don't want to waste gems sending the rallies early so setting them for an hour means you are stuck waiting for that timer to run down.
Like you said, you most likely wouldn’t wait long enough for your marches to launch and attack the bosses you are ghosting on

Hmmm, that really depends on a number of things, including your preference, if you have alts, etc.
I can’t say definitively how many of each you should have, but as a guide, here’s what I have:
Army Camps -3
Farms - 8
Mines -7
Sawmills - 6
Quarries - 6
Of course, different people will have different numbers.

Must be nice to be on a server that actually has bandwidth. That kind of activity would crash our crappy server. Over here in crappy town server 1208 we get stuck in buildings, have marches that take several minutes to "prepare" , teleports that that doesn't work, incoming attacks that land before you are even notified one is on its way and a stack of unanswered tech support tickets as tall as a man. The developers of this game are seriously disproportionately applying resources to the point where it's not even worth try BOG, BOC or server War.

ghosting sounds like a pain in the ass because someone can jump you while you are doing that.
A bit, yeah. You can definitely attack without ghosting, but that is a risk you are taking.
Once you get used to it, ghosting literally takes seconds to do and could really save you. And if you do it right, it’s unlikely that you will be attacked while trying to ghost.
It’s very important to learn and get down right 😉👌

Gen Aka Sir! One more good advice while doing pvp is to take off the Generals that you have on Duty because if you are attacked they may also die. And I say that with all due respect Sir🫡

However, with ascension buffs and duty generals like Ashoka that give PvP buffs, you’d still want them on duty during PvP.

If you are under level 20, your main focus should be growing, not PvP.
However if you still want to PvP, everything still applies. You just have to scale it down
