Let's normalize BOTH mother and father being present, available and raising children equally and together as a team. The idea that women are "better" then men at raising children therefore it's ok for a father to be relatively absent as long as he's the primary bread winner is a very old and antiquated way of thinking. Being emotionally present and available for ones children is the responsibility of both parents. And might I add, it ultimately makes for much healthier, well rounded and well adjusted human beings in the long run.

That's why communication is really important if you have a partner/ husband/ bf. If my friends invite me (I mean friends like girls and guys) to go out, I ask permission from my guy. If he says he's not okay with one of those friends and asks me not to go, I don't argue, I just respect his decision of not wanting me to go out. I am like that with him too. But this does not mean we have our own bubble. We just follow our intuition. Yes, men for me have intuitions too lol. We still respect our personal space. He socialize with friends whom I trust and vice versa. I agree on Sam's opinion. It's really important to know the person before committing into a relationship. By this, there would be no issues of cheating or insecurities. If you and your partner value communication, trust would never be an issue. I guess it is also about finding your "match". On the cheating part, yes a lot of women cheat too not just men. I have acquaintances who do that. And cheating per se depends on how an individual defines it. For me, cheating is a choice. There are a lot of ways to avoid it. But if you really decide to do it, it's your choice. That's your problem, you blame yourself not your partner. It took me years to find someone through a dating app and that was after paying for premium plans on multiple apps over the course of 3 to 4 years.
As a working mom of three under 5, I specifically chose my job role to work when my kids sleep because I couldn't stand the thought of not being there in the day. I would definitely have to pick my kids over work, I think it's just a mother's connection as they carried their children for so long. However I think it depends on the partner aswell, there will always be areas to compromise in and if one staying at home and the male going to work is working then why not, because staying at home raising kids is not an easy job.
