- Panathinaikos Athens welcomed Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv in the Israeli team's second game after a break due to a war in the country. During the game, the Greek club's head coach, Ergin Ataman, was ejected after a fiery reaction to a referee's decision. The game went to overtime following Josh Nebo's tip-in during the last seconds of the fourth quarter. In the overtime, Kostas Sloukas had the chance to force a second OT but missed one of the free throws, and Maccabi achieved a much-needed victory.

Panathinaikos is showing good signs of improvement. Fighting for the game when losing -15, after the coach is expelled, is a good sign. Panathinaikos will be in the play-offs. The players have not built their chemistry & hierarchy yet. Olympiakos will also be much stronger in the next months. Maccabe showed good discipline in their game. Euroleague 2023-2024 seems very strong, with high level teams.

He is a bit overrated, he should have done some more things before he started acting like the greatest point guard ever, but it is a team problem and also a Vildoza problem.
I mean as a 1 he has seriously underperformed.
So many mistakes in every game, poor play set-ups and critical turnovers in crucial moments.
"Sold" the ball in the last possession when there was still a chance.
No team succeeds with just one point guard actually playing. And Sloukas is playing, Vildoza isn't.
I think Moraitis's chance is coming and he should take it but the horns.
Plus the tall line isn't performing as they should game-long.

Starting from management we should aspire to be a top class organisation. Crying about the refs isn't what we used to or should do.

Two reff mistake leads to Ataman two technicals. Nebo foul after the free throws. Refs played big part in this game.

Was at the stadium watching this live. Yes, PAO played horribly in the first half and no box outs still in the second. BUT. PAO still should've won by 30 pts lead if the Euroleague didn't want Maccabi to win so much and whistle every call wrong. They push Maccabi in order to win so much that it's actually just hilarious to watch. As if the current Maccabi could ever win the Euroleague. All that for a war in Israel.. PAO basically won this match without a coach and mad players.
Pana played bad basketball. They use violence to progress like real madrid last year cause they had nothing else, no quality. There were Bad calls for two sides. With full roster maccabi is a final four team.
