thanks for the video, it was very useful!!! :) I didn't know the adverb каково, and I wouldn't have understood the example sentence given. It seems very idiomatic to me. Some example sentences from dictionaries:
каково ему живётся? how's he getting on? / how's he doing?
каково на дворе? what's the weather like outside?
Вот, каково быть военным пилотом. That's what it's like being a fighter pilot.
каково мне это слышать? can you imagine how I felt when I heard that? / to think I should listen to that!
каково ему теперь! what must his feelings be now!
каково! (exclamation, but I coudn't understand it's precise meaning or in which situations it might be used)

каково is asked when you're interested in something more general, in some lengthy process (how is it to live in Russian, how is it to have a talent for music), while как is used for every day things (how to cross a street, how to ask for directions)
Например :
( А ) Каково тебе не говорить по-русский?
( Б ) Каково тебе не готовить за экзаменами?
( В ) Какого цвета у тебя платье?
( Г ) Какого сезона у тебя страна?

(б) каково тебе не готовиться к экзаменам?
(Г) какой сезон у тебя в стране. (Но эта фраза какая-то нелепая )

мною - synonym мной; тобою - synonym тобой
Мною and тобою are high-style words used only in olde poetry. Каково is indeed more “what is it like to?” and can be used when «как» doesn't make sense.
«Как ты живёшь в России?» - How do you live in Russia? - Well, I breathe and eat, lol
«Каково тебе жить в России?» - carries the right meaning
Каково это, каково мне/тебе/ей/ему (but not каков, какова, каковы) additionally carries a skeptical connotation:
«Каково тебе быть вегетерианцем уже 2 месяца» - You‘ve been a vegeterian for 2 months, now what?

I've seen another use of "каково/а/ы" that really confused me until I saw it a ton of times. I would see something like "каковы пределы нашего воображения" and wondered what the difference between that and "что такое . . . " was. So, каковы границы вселенной is like "what are the borders of the universe" versus "что такие границы" which is just like "what are borders." I think I get it now
I’m excited for the book! I understand that it would not be a direct translation but I’m wondering if you’re familiar with Kanye West’s viral rant “How Sway!?!”? I’m wondering in Russian can you say “Kakobo Sway?!?”? I’m very, very New to Russian. No disrespect intended. I imagine to become fluent in a language you have start thinking in that language. And it won’t be helpful for me to continue to think about pop culture English phrases and attempt to translate them to Russian. 😬

What is такого means. This word is also related to так but im not sure how to use it
"Такого" is "Такой (such [eng.])" in genitive case.
For example:
1) A girl said: "Я хочу найти мужа такого как мой папа" "I want to find a husband like my dad" or "I want to find a husband such as my dad".
2)В автосалоне: in car dealership:
- Какого цвета ты хочешь купить машину? (of)Which color do you want to buy a car?
показывая на машину: pointing at the car:
- Такого цвета. Красную. (of) Such color. Red.
hello ... what is the difference between про и о ?
There's no real difference in meaning, I would say. "О" is used with the prepositional case (предложный падеж, i.e. "Это книга о собаке" - "This is a book about a dog"), while "про" is used with the accusative (винительный падеж, i.e. "Это книга про собаку"). I would say you use про more often in daily speech, while о is used more often in the written literally language (say "про" or "о", write "о"), but they're basically the same.

русский - мужской род; русская - женский род; русском - предложный падеж.
They are all adjectives. Русская & русский are in the nomintive case. Русском is in the preposition case (именительный падеж).
