I really want to go to WCU in SFV, but I can't stop working and can't change my working hours as I work for the LAUSD. I'm a single mother so I need to work. Is there a way to take classes around my work schedule? I get off at 2:30pm
I watched your videos back in June before I enrolled and i'm almost 6 classes done! but now I'm a little stressed, I just got married and i have to renew and the cost is stressing me out more and my husband. any tips on married couples , how FAFSA works?
YES definitely flies by!! I graduate next year thank goodness! I feel like it's so far away but it's been going by fast. I hope you're doing good in school! Let me know if you ever need any help ☺️
Evelyn Rodriguez I will definitely go over this! 💗 I have always believed in myself and had crazy confidence that I can do everything and anything so failing for me is not an option. Honestly just takes a lot of discipline and determination!
I'm scared to apply 1 cause I'm so dumb at math. 2 because I have 3 kids. But husband keeps pushing me because I've always wanted to be a nurse. Makes me wanna cry how I'm so dumb and scared I am! My life is passing me by and I'm afraid I won't pass the entrance exam because I took it back in 2012 and failed. But something in me tells me to apply but again scared of debt
A few things. Med isn't bad at all. If you can do basic algebra, you're good. Practice, practice, practice. Not that you asked me, but here some unsolicited advice. Do not take your general education courses at west coast. Spend the time doing those at your local community college. I feel the quality of education and degree of difficulty is greater and is a good indicator of how successful you'll be at wcu. Irs better to learn at the community college level of your not cut out for it for whatever reason there than at WCU. If you REALLY want to know how you'll do, take an 8 week anatomy class during summer. It's pretty much the same calendar format as west coast. WCU is a MASSIVE commitment. If you transfer all your GE's in you'll have loans for very close to 100k by the time you finish. Tread very carefully. It kills me when I think about some of the friends that I've made didn't make it because sometimes, life just happens.
The math is not tough at all it’s basic algebra. They have med math workshops you can attend and it helps tremendously! Keep in mind you must get at least 90% or higher on the med math exam each term in order to pass the course. As the person above me said, WCU is a HUGE commitment and no time to mess around. As any nursing school, you have to study and work hard for your grade. I understand how you’re feeling because prior to starting nursing school, I too was super scared of failing and debts and I had so many questions. If you need any help or info about the school and admission process you can ask me(: Im not going to lie and say it’s easy because it’s not! Then again no nursing school program is easy. It’s a tough program because it’s accelerated HOWEVER it is completely DOABLE!(: I’m not the brightest kid in the block and I’m doing extremely well. If I can do it, trust me so can you!
If you don't try, you'll always regret not pursuing your heart's desire. Don't be afraid just go for it! Listen to your husband he sees something in you that you don't. :)
Are you done with school?
