Mkuru tukiwa highschool we used to have preaching before preps za evening around 640 to 710pm but watu hawakuwa wanatokea so kuna huyu mkurugenzi jr wako akaanza kutupigia hizi story , nakuwambia watu walikua wanakula supper haraka wakaskize story at times the stories were long hadi inabidi tumeextend... It became a trend hadi watu wa class zingine walikua wanakuja class yetu kuskiza hizo story ...the boy used to have a chair hapo mbele ...he was so good at narrating.. thats how we got to join the wakurugenzi family....

The guy who abducted the girl was called Onyancha. Police from Kerugoya latter caught up with him. The teacher who was murdered was a related to my grandmother Mary. The river that she was been taken to is called Kathigaini, and it's not deep but it can be scary at night. The teacher was currently teaching at Municipality Kerugoya. I remember my Grandma Mary telling my aunty all this even how the neighbors looked through the window. She always cried telling the story of how it went down. I was in about class three then but I can remember the name Onyancha
I remember this story and it was just heartbreaking. The murders used to happen on Tuesday and Friday. 2010-2012 was just a horrible time to live in that town

Never heard this story before. Thank you for telling it. Apart from a mother's role, this also shows the importance of teachers. I'm lucky to have experienced two teachers that really positively influenced my life. They could have easily ignored the talent i have but instead nurtured it. They did it in small gestures but now i realize how big those gestures were.
