Everyone on the IMF (we joked that it was the International Monetary Fund) had their special and unique skill. Dan Briggs and Jim Phelps were the master planners with a deep understanding of human psychology. Rollin Hand, as well as being a master magician, ace card player and quick on his feet, could mimic anyone and anything to perfection. Cinnamon Carter was the femme fatale, irresistible to men and devious as a cat. Barney Collier, the electronics genius, delighted in making fools out of people who underestimated him. And Willy Armitage was the ultimate Oddjob: driver, handyman, expert contractor, pinch hitter, he was called in to use "muscle" if the plan was failing. Together they were the best there was and you better write out your will if you were the mission.
This show was arguably the VERY FIRST to make a black man, Greg Morris, a main character, not BECAUSE of race, not DESPITE race, but irrespective. The character Barney was just one of the team, and race wasn't considered. NOW THAT'S A "TEAM"!!
As a retired fireman, I can assure you that the smell of that car on fire would be rather unpleasant, mostly the smell of burning oil mixed with pork chops
@@_RetroClips_ I dont know, that bit with it rolling down the hill looks pretty real, however the it catching fire and going up like the enterprise however looks to be basic stock footage of a different car.
Awesome job, Barney! Imagine how much farther he could've gone if they'd given him a small steering wheel rather than a left and right turn switch.
I'm glad that you've realized that Barney Collier is an electronics genius.
He's probably a superb gamer as well.
@@ericdew2021 Barney invented the drone and the chess-playing computer, among other ahead off their time devices.
Greg Morris loved the role.
This is a classic Mission scene. Set-up and execution. Love it....miss it.
Phil Morris the actor? If so, I remember you from the soaps. Greg’s son right?
@@mmills5951 Lawyer Jackie Chiles on Seinfeld is his most famous role.
@Sidney McDavid It was in 1979 that Greg Morris joined the cast of Vegas.
Let's not forget about the original mission impossible. It was the best for me. And iconic movie.
The chases weren't as they seemed. The new ones are anarchy because they messed up. Old MI car chases were planned.

Much like Uhura in Star Trek.
@@lewisnerDr King was most insistent she stayed in the role when she was thinking of quitting for exactly that reason.
Don’t forget Ivan Dixon in Hogans Hero’s.
thank you for doing a first rate job with this video i love this show
Would it not be easier with an automatic car ? ^)^
Great scene
good old days,🇺🇸🇺🇸🇯🇵🇯🇵❤️👍👌
That crash was used in the opening credits for Mannix I believe.
Oh Barney how could you ?😅😂😂😂😂
Before Alec Hardison from Leverage there was Barney!
Radio Shack hack??? Barney owned his own firm, Collier Electronics, when he wasn't doing his thing with the IMF. An entrepreneur.
Love both of this cars
Sort of like what they did with Michael Hastings except he wasn't dead already when they started controlling his car.
I saw a car going over a cliff and exploding and I thought that I was watching Mannix.

Can anyone tell me what episode this is? I think I narrowed it down to season 2...thanks!
It's either season 2 or 3.

Season 2: The Condemned
Such a pity that some posters cannot express themselves without using obscenities.
You're right. Absolute fucking disgrace isn't it?
lalo shiffrin 😍
where is the full movie? episode 1-2-3 please?
A joystick would’ve helped
you know, I know it was a brand new car back then, but what a waste of a vintage porsche 356
It's only a model.
