For executive mba whst colleges can be targetted for those who want to go with hr specialisation? And which institutes should be targetted for less fee structure but are good brandnames.
I’m 41 years old and have 13 years work experience in IT. I have an MS degree in computer Science from USA . Extremely motivated to do an executive MBA from a top B school . Would I still need 700 GMAT score ? How hard is it to get such a score ?
Hi, Every B-school has a different criteria and cutoff for GMAT which they generally don't disclose for an Executive MBA, however, for a 1-year full-time MBA they disclose the average score in their brochure or placement report. But for an executive MBA, you need to have a valid GMAT score and then you can apply in these B-schools. Having 700 isn't necessary for the executive MBA as far as I am aware but you should try to score the best you can. I hope this helps. Keep watching.
@@MBABeginners Thanks . I got a fair idea . I will first finish a certificate program and if it doesn’t help me to transition to my desired role , I will look into the other options .Thanks and wish you the best !

Hi Piush, My sincere apologies for delay in response. As this is for working professionals for which student doesn't need to leave existing job/business for a full-time MBA program, so no B-school provides placement support via the institute. If you need placement support, then look for 1-year full-time MBA. You can watch my detailed video: th-cam.com/video/EpH74Gru2Ks/w-d-xo.html I hope this helps. Keep watching.
Sir, the gmat marks of focus edition is less in comparison of old gmat exam. will indian B schools also change the cutoff for example imt has 650 and mdi has 700. Or it is disadvantage to give gmat focus in comparison to old gmat due to less marks ??
Hi Keshav, Please watch my video on the GMAT focus edition, in which I have explained it in detail: th-cam.com/video/nJSnQ11Fm8o/w-d-xo.html But there is no disadvantage because the GMAT focus is replacing the old GMAT format, so all the B-schools will follow the same. I hope this helps. Keep watching.
Hi, There are 2 different MBA programs I talked about in my earlier videos: 1) 1-year full time-MBA 2) MBA for working professionals This video is for Point#2. I hope this helps. Keep watching.
MBA for working professionals does not support campus placements because you are already working somewhere and pursuing MBA part-time in parallel. B-school facilitates placements only in the full-time MBA which are 2year residential MBA and 1-year residential MBA programs. I hope this helps. Keep watching.
I have an offer letter from IIM Lucknow Executive MBA PGPWE. I am working as scale 2 officer for a govt insurance company. I am still not sure what oppurtunites would be available for me after doing this ? Is it worth it for me ?
Hi Shivang, My sincere apologies for delay in response. Please explain what kind of opportunities you expect from this program then only I will be able to understand. There would have been some motivation when you applied for this program.
Hi Abhishek, I assume that you have seen both the Parts of this video series. If not, please go to my channel and watch both the videos. To answer your question, most of the top B-schools need 50% aggregate marks till bachelors, for reserved categories it is 45%. So calculate accordingly and then you can make a list of your target B-schools, try contacting them via their website to confirm. And then apply accordingly. I hope this helps. Keep watching.
Hi Raviraj, Placement support is given only in those MBA programs which are full-time i.e. in which the candidate needs to leave his/her job. These programs are 1-year full-time MBA or 2-year full-time MBA. However, an Executive MBA is designed for those who don't want to leave their jobs or other professions but still want to do an MBA to learn management skills and get promotions in the existing organization or to switch jobs themselves with an MBA degree in hand. Everyone is not comfortable leaving the job to pursue a full-time MBA hence this Executive MBA. Fees depend upon the brand of the institute. I hope this helps. Keep watching. Thanks.
