More combat footage guys. Having your expertise on these videos really helps put combat into better perspective. As a civilian who plans on joining the Army Infantry (goal is Ranger school) I enjoy learning more about the military lifestyle.

@David May It's doing alright now, we've rebuilt everything from ground up, tourism is our bright side, there's no tension but people are still pretty much ethnically divided and hate each other because of the genocide the happened in the 90's. We're soon to join NATO and hopefully the EU so we can start making real progress.

A team of British marines used a Karl Gustav to fuck up a argentine destroyer during the falklands campaign to the point the destroyer had to retreat because the endless sniper and Karl Gustav fire nearly destroyed the bridge and other weapons systems it’s a bloody legendary weapon
It's crazy how chill and relaxed these guys can be while they're getting shot at in a life or death situation. Either these guys are fucking crazy on adrenaline or they have a lot of faith in their training, their buddies, and their gear. Mad respect either way. And while I get that they're very well trained to maintain calm in many different situations, it's not just the absence of panic as it just is the fact that there's this.....weird, lack of urgency that they have, although they're acting very objectively, it's so casual. It's almost like a training exercise. You'd never believe that there was lead being slung their way. The amount of mental conditioning these guys go through is incredible.
To kind of reiterate, because I dont feel like it was explained quite well enough, talking guns is meant to extend the economy of rounds, while effectively cutting the firing time in half for each individual weapon system. By trading bursts on a target/series of targets, goons can lay down a whole lot more suppressive fire, for a much longer amount of time. This means less barrel changes, less ammo consumption, less reloads and less pressure on an individual gunner to cover a target. Talking guns can be conducted with 2 or more weapon systems, Ive done as many as a section (+), (8 M240s). For those interested in MG tactics, just read up on PICMDEEP. Especially if you're an 03/11B

I talked to some guys from Iraq who we were doing security for because they came to help America after their family was killed. Had a good conversation and gave me a better view on the war as a whole. The oldest guy told me "We dont want death to you, we want peace for us". Also asked me was 50 cent better than Jay Z lmao. 1st trucks was a MATV. Nice trucks but once you get into the mountains their just too big. Last trip in '13, in Kunar, we couldn't take them into the valleys due to the roads. Gmv's however rocked. Was infantry uplift for two teams from 3rd group, that was a fun trip. I've never looked forward to anything like I did those commando ops.

The Gustaf aka The Goose was a game changer for us in Panjwai down in Kandahar. God I loved that thing! Also brother, no hate here but in certain areas like Western Kandahar most of our contact was within 200 meters, sometimes as close as 5 meters. Not many long sustained firefights, usually just a couple of minutes (there were exceptions of course), but closer than in the more open or mountainous provinces. 7:13 - Dude thank you for going back and finishing your story! I was bummed out when the story got cut off earlier in the video I wanted to hear it. My neighbor was a Marine in Afghanistan and he showed me this gnarly looking shank/knife made out of bone...he took it off a guy in Afghanistan.. he said these dudes would come to their outposts or bases or whatever and they would carry these bone shanks because metal detectors couldn’t detect them and they would attack someone on base like straight suicide mission. Like they would pretend to have information or be friendly or whatever excuse to get in close and then they whip out a bone shank and try to stab someone...he told me that it happened several times

that guy with no shirt was actually a reporter or translator if i remember correctly, he wasnt even suppose to be fighting but i think the story was they got ambushed so he got out without his vest and started fighting back.
Our LAV driver was only 3 apples tall and he didn't get a chance to dismount very often, but when he did we made him carry the Carl G. He actually made the weapon look bigger than it was. The best part is that after him humping the thing all over Pashmul a few times we did a range and found out that there was no firing pin. And HEDP rounds are rare. I think ours was stolen from american troops somewhere along the way.

The vehicle it’s a M- ATV. Its a heavier , bigger version of the JLTV . The JLTV is the one replacing the Humvee

The Gustaf aka The Goose was a game changer for us in Panjwai down in Kandahar. God I loved that thing!
Also brother, no hate here but in certain areas like Western Kandahar most of our contact was within 200 meters, sometimes as close as 5 meters. Not many long sustained firefights, usually just a couple of minutes (there were exceptions of course), but closer than in the more open or mountainous provinces.

Agreed with NeoVester there y'all are in a unique position to give insight and explanations on combat footage and other related matters (MoH docs, military tech, etc.). Had the thought that y'all could even be the hub for which other Vets come and do commentary with. Love the prospects of the channel and the personality behind it, easy sub. Have fun!

7:13 - Dude thank you for going back and finishing your story! I was bummed out when the story got cut off earlier in the video I wanted to hear it.
My neighbor was a Marine in Afghanistan and he showed me this gnarly looking shank/knife made out of bone...he took it off a guy in Afghanistan.. he said these dudes would come to their outposts or bases or whatever and they would carry these bone shanks because metal detectors couldn’t detect them and they would attack someone on base like straight suicide mission. Like they would pretend to have information or be friendly or whatever excuse to get in close and then they whip out a bone shank and try to stab someone...he told me that it happened several times
Love these real combat footage videos. A bit of context at the start of each clip would help, like which soldiers are fighting etc.

Really enjoy your channel guys! If you haven't seen the documentary "Only The Dead See the End of War" I think it would give you guys a great deal to talk about! I believe it covers Iraq from a span of 2003-2010 with different combat footage as well. BUT THERE IS A VERY INTERESTING TWIST..

that guy with no shirt was actually a reporter or translator if i remember correctly, he wasnt even suppose to be fighting but i think the story was they got ambushed so he got out without his vest and started fighting back.
I have my doubts. I will look into it.

Our LAV driver was only 3 apples tall and he didn't get a chance to dismount very often, but when he did we made him carry the Carl G. He actually made the weapon look bigger than it was. The best part is that after him humping the thing all over Pashmul a few times we did a range and found out that there was no firing pin. And HEDP rounds are rare. I think ours was stolen from american troops somewhere along the way.
