In 1991, I gained an admission to Prempeh College, however, due to financial constraints I couldn't honor the admission. My mom did her best to get Agona SDA for me. Things became increasingly difficult for me when my mom fell sick for almost 2 years. Sometimes, I had to beaten not less than 10 lashes Infront of the whole class because I was owing school fees. During exams I had to beg teachers to allow me to take the exam. Nothing discouraged me because I knew one day it will be my story. Then came a president who understands the suffering of Ghanaians and initiated free SHS. You'll won't see the benefits unless you've been there before.
@@699padu I was among the first graduates of JHS system in 1990. . I could not gain admission to SHS cos of money..I went back to school to rewrite BECE in 1992. When my mother knew that she was not capable of taking care of my education she brought me to Nigeria in January, 1993. When the result came I got admission to Prempeh College. My family back in Ghana told my mum that Prempeh sent for me but they told the school I had left the country. This is the greatest regret in my life for not attending that great school. Had free SHS been available I would not have been who I am now, still struggling.
