This worked for me! Here's the treatment that worked for me:
    1) Salt water washes as described in this video for about 10-15min x 2-3 times a day....use Epsom Salt (available at any pharmacy)..more salt you use the better, but start with a little and work your way up until you can tolerate a lot more (salt will burn slightly).....
    2) Warm compresses TIP...use a potato as a hot compress ! Place it in the microwave for 1 - 2 min (depending on your microwave strength) and then wrap it in a small towel and place on eye! The potato retains heat longer and doesn't cause the mess warm water would - nor will it shrivel your skin! Once you can bare the potato heat without the towel, remove the towel and use the potato itsself! The potato is heavy so when you lie down, the weight of the potato will press down on your eye-lid on its own - thanks to gravity (thus no need for you to press on it , IF you are lying down)! 15-20min 2-3 times a day
    3) Massage the chalazion IMMEDIATELY after you've hot compressed - this is important!
    4) Wash your eyes periodically with Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo.....3-4 times a day or even more if you can. This is fun and enjoyable! You can/should even do it while you're in the shower!
....I did all of this for a few days and went away.....! Once its gone, the eye-lie area might be a bit dark (due to the periodic hot compresses you were doing).....that's fine.....that will vanish naturally in a few days
    PREVENTION going forward:
    1) Continue to wash your eyes with Johnson & Johnson even after the chalazion is gone! Chalazions are prone to return if they've arrived once....but washing your eyes with Johnson & Johnson is a great way to prevent it from re-occurance.
    2) Avoid touching your eyes. If you must....make sure its clean (wash with soap or baby shampoo!)
    3) If you wear contact lens be sure to throw them out after timely usage......
    4) If you wear make-up, be sure to discard and replace with new make-up after timely use. Also, don't share your make-up with anyone....and don't use make-up from others!
This is what worked for me....!
    Take care,
    G

Angel Saíd Ferreira What I mean is avoid touching your eyes regularly to avoid infection. The shampoo part is a conditioning method you do when your hands are clean and typically you can do this in the hot shower. Just use your common sense if you have any.

Update: it took about two days, but my eye infection is now GONE! I'm so glad I started doing this immediately.
I mixed 1 dl water with ½ tsp of salt. (I boiled the water first, poured in the salt, and then let it cool down to just a bit warmer than room temperature.)
Then I held the cup to my eye for one minute once every hour or so.
I think my old mascara is what caused this. I've had the masacra for about six months now and it's definately time to throw it out!

! JUST TRIED THIS METHOD !
It fucking works. Literally a genius method. I did mine with extra salt (was a little bit burning but my vanity says otherwise) and within 3 washes my deep stye came to the surface and popped without me feeling it. The salt water made the skin tight while disinfecting, the tightness caused the infection to come to a head and expell itself. I had to write this so you do this instead of anything else!

Man…..this video was a game changer. Started getting styes early this year out of nowhere in one eye and still dealing with a chalazion. I figured I have nothing to lose and I might as well try this. Recently the issue started to move into the left eye and I was so demoralized. Took over 24 hours, but now the redness in the left eye is almost gone and it’s not even sore anymore, where a feel days ago it was killing me. Thank you for this video. Talk about a massive blow to self confidence and well being.

I get styes and chalazions frequently too which sucks. What's cut then down is preventative treatment. I make sure to do a warm compress before taking a shower in the morning and night. And I also have an eyelid cleanser that I use in the morning. So far has worked very well in preventing them. Instead of 2 every month I get one small one every 5 to 6 months that goes away faster

I always use a tea bag (black tea) and hot compresses to drain the stye/ eye infection and it typically goes away within two days. I would also say to anyone who suffers from them frequently to change your mascara out monthly, when I started doing that I stopped getting them as often--I've had maybe three in the past year, whereas before I got them once a month.

Thank you so much for posting this video.
I've had weepy, foggy eyes for a few months.
I've spent a small fortune on eye drops.
I've thrown away and repurchased new hypoallergenic mascara, eyeliner and only castro-oil near my eyes.
I knew it wasn't my glasses, I thought it was very bad allergies.
I started the salt-water bath for my eyes yesterday, continued today.
I did not use any of my eyeliner, mascara or eyes drops today, I didn't think they might be infected because I kept buying new.
Today, it was so much better. Like, I could see things.
    Thank you♥️

Omg I cannot thank you enough for what you've just thought me. It's so amazing! I've been suffering with styes for 5 years now. I've tried tea bags, hot compress, eye drops & oitments. Nothing has worked as Fast & Easy!
All I did was boil water with one spoon full of salt (table salt) let it cool down put it in a pill container which I made sure was clean & fit my eye put the container over my eye & yes you need to leave the eye OPEN not closed. I know sounds scary but it works move you're eye around so the salt water will run everywhere for 1 minute & keep doing the same thing every other hour I did it from 3pm-9pm next day stye was gone !
Remember you have to make sure the water is at a right temperature where you can handle it being in you're eye.
    Thanks again !

Came here to say that I tried this and it does work. I heated water in a kettle, put about a tablespoon of salt into a small cup, then poured the water into the cup and let it cool only a bit. I used a wash cloth to soak up some water, leaned back, and dripped it into my eye. I've also been leaving the wash cloth on my eye for 10 minutes using the timer on my phone. The redness is gone, the swelling is gone, and there's no itchiness. The blocked tear duct itself is a lot smaller and not fully gone yet, but almost and its thankfully not visible.

I know this video is super old and that makes everyone finding it now even more appropriative. It’s great to know what a good lipstick is but this video really helped a lot of us that couldn’t get this condition under control. I only had mine a month so I can’t imagine what it was like for some of the people commenting they had it for years before finding your video. I had a bump under my eye that was red and itchy. It was there for weeks. My eyes were red and irritated. This week I noticed a few smaller bumps forming on the same lower eye. I followed your instructions with the salt water rinse. That night my eye got worse before the next day when it started to really heal up finally. The next day the little bumps were gone and the big one was just a dried up scab. Thank you for this information.

I've been taking advil and benadryl for swelling and the allergy, flushing with saline syringes, and washing with baby soap. My lids were swollen to my brows. Everywhere tint accidentally touched my skin from my lashes lightly grazing against them has scabbed. But I still have my lashes and I can see. They were purple towards my lashes and a raspberry color everywhere else across the lid. The worst swelling was by my lashline and was actually numb to touch. Thankfully I can feel them now. Hello Basma, I used regular table salt and it was soothing to open my eyes and roll them around. Test the salt so you don't get it too strong that it burns your eyes. I also quickly replaced the salt water solution often so I would have a constant stream of very warm water. I made a small pitcher up to refresh it. I passes this on to my sisters that get them often. It worked immediately for both of them. Hope that helps.

I've had 2 chalazion surgeries and they weren't bad at all. They aren't exactly infections; they're clogged mambolian glands (the tiny glands that bring oil to your eyelashes). I cured my last one with hot compresses every half hour. Maybe I'll try your salt recommendations. An important question to ask is why you keep getting chalazions. Mine are apparently related to my rosacea.

He said to get the salt solution to the point that's comfortable - keep adding salt until you can feel the salt. Thanks for the advice delivered with that hot accent!

If you’re going to listen to any video about eye infections listen to this one. I woke up with pink eye symptoms a couple days ago, and the next day I had to call out of work because my eye was so swollen. I rinsed my eye with salt water twice during the day I didn’t see immediate effects, if anything my eye was irritated because of the salt. However whatever magic salt has to kill an infection started working- by the time I went to bed the swelling had reduced significantly and the next morning, the swelling was about 80% gone. There’s a significant improvement in how my eye looks and it’s healed enough for me to return to work. If it weren’t for this technique I wouldn’t have gotten rid of my symptoms so fast!!

I work for eye surgeons and trust me, you don't have to add salt and put it in your eye with a cup. Squeezing or poking it cause it to get really inflamed.Truthfully, using the heat works the best because the heat softens the material trapped in the gland and allows it to drain out over time. So doing it often and for as long as you can keep it warm can save you a trip to the doctor.

Saltwater is alkaline and burns and damages the eye in high concentration. 3.5% of the weight of seawater is dissolved salts, Saline solution eye-washes are usually 2% (i.e. half a teaspoon salt (4 to 5 grams) dissolved in a cup (250ml) of water.

Hello - I used a typical bath was cloth under hot tap water. I rung out, and let cool enough to be comfortable. I would usually lay down for about 10-15 minutes (the cloth will cool by then and will no longer be effective.) I repeated this 2x a day and it did indeed work. I was mindful to make sure the cloth was sterilized each time with hot water as not to spread the infection. Good Luck!

I boiled water, transferred it to a mug then added salt until I felt it would have an affect but not burn my eye. I then transferred it to a shot glass and let it cool down to a comfortable level and then just opened my eye into the shot glass while titling my head upwards for 1 min. Within two days it was nearly all the way healed. Amazing! I was instructed to do warm compresses and that almost made it worse. And if the whiteheads start to surface do NOT squeeze them out as tempting as it might be! Just let them be and they’ll eventually go away!

I added two cotton balls to the water, (while still boiling). I placed the fully saturated cotton balls onto each of my eyes, (opened my eye lids), and allowed to remain for about 5 minutes. Thank you very much for this great video !
Last week I woke up with a stye! Have not had one in over 30 years!
I made some garlic oil. I did this by crushing 2 cloves of garlic
and letting it sit 10 minutes - then I put some olive oil and crushed garlic in a small glass cup.
Warmed the glass cup in some very hot water double boiler method for 10 min. I let it cool and did warm compress on stye for 12 minutes.
Then applied some garlic oil onto it with q-tip-massaging it a little. I did this whole process-compress then applying garlic oil- 8 times
    that day After the first
2 times the stye was less painful and so I kept it up. At bedtime that night it was much better and
Then next morning better still. I only did warm compresses + garlic oil 3 x the 2nd day. That night I noticed
It was coming to head. I resisted trying to pop it..the next morning it was gone so it must have popped
during the night. I don’t know why I got this stye as I regularly use eyelid wipes and I wash my eyebrows
And eye lashes and lids with baby shampoo about 1-2 a week. I keep my eye lids very clean.
I’m saving your advice in case I get another stye.

It was not until I watched this video and applied the salt water mixture to my eye that I have seen such a difference. I am so thankful for this recommendation. For a couple of days I mixed I cup of boiling water and a teaspoon of table salt together and held it up to my eye for a minute each time. After just the first few applications and applying a warm wash cloth over the painful area, I was relieved!!! I will be sure to do this for now on whenever I have any sort of pain or swelling from a possible stye, eye infection or chalazion. THANK YOU!!!

I have been suffering for 5 weeks, two doctors, several medications and antibiotics and i still do not know if i have allergic or bacterial conjuntivitis. Yesterday i decided to quit all medications and started with filtered/boiled 1 cup of water with 1/2 teaspoon of Himalayan salt and washed my eyes with it 4 times yesterday, today I feel the difference. I am not cured yet but will post my progress. Thank you. I didn't know if what i was doing was right.

Washing my eyes twice a day with water and Himalaya salt is very soothing. I have dry eye syndrome. I made changes in my home that seem to help, measuring the humidity inside the house. Turning off the A/C. A small humidifier helps. I did not know how much salt to put and I learned that just tasting it like food is all you need. I was using tap water but it feels better to use distilled water. I am definitely better and I do not use the tear drops as much now. I am waiting to get the ones without preservatives. They come from Europe; but you can get them in Amazon USA. called Hylo Gel. The Hyaluronic Acid will help rebuild the glands under the eye lids and you do not get any preservatives in your eyes, specially if you need to hydrate your eyes often. I also was not washing my eyes correctly. I now use a glass little bottle from the spice rack, it fits my eye socket perfect and you do need to open your eye and move them around to let the water flush any debris or bacteria for at least a minute. I was doing it all wrong. You have to open your eyes like if you were in a swimming pool... so I started again but doing it right. I will post again as I make progress. I am definitely better. My eyes use to hurt to the touch, not any more. I get easily blinded by sun light, as i lack tears.

Wish I'd known this two weeks ago. Developed a stye on holiday (camping in UK) which turned within a few days infected, started spreading down my face and was swollen, tender and painful. Ended up checking into a hospital walk in clinic. Got checked over, given antibiotics as looked like cellulitis. Luckily the swelling and pain subsided within a few days but stye turned into a chalazion. I was told to use hot compresses and massage chalazion. The antibiotics were for 7 days. The chalazion is slowly going, you can see it a little still. I'll definitely bear in mind your advice for future. And I am being more careful with eye hygiene. Trying not to automatically rub eyes with hands/fingers too. Thankyou.

I know you are trying to help, and I believe this technique helped my conjunctivitis, but there is a RISK. It is difficult to calibrate saline concentration, and without doing so, osmotic pressure can cause water flow into or out (desiccation) of the aqueous humor behind the cornea. THIS CAN CAUSE PERMANENT VISION LOSS and is why, e.g., people swimming in the Dead Sea are meant to wear protective goggles.
You should recommend people only use approved eye drops so that the concentration is right.

I’ve dealt with these for 20 years. The bump you mentioned should be removed by a skilled eye doctor. There is no pain - they put numbing drops in the eye. Push the lid up and it’s over Quickly.

      @gitaareddy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Chalazions don't just go away. I've had them 5 times in the last 5 years, and every single time it had to be removed at the hospital. Not as bad as it sounds; they put numbing drops in the eye, then you get a needle in your eyelid (not gonna lie; that one hurt), then they remove the Chalazion in 1 minute. It has to heal for a couple of days (they make an incision in your eyelid which has to heal) and that's it! Make an appointment now!

It works!!!! Yesterday, in the middle of the night I felt something(thought some dust particle) in my eye. I couldn't close my eye or open my eye. When I inspected my eye there was no dust particle. However I was feeling some obstacle in my eye. I was in great discomfort. Couldn't close the eye or open it. Cleaned with water multiple times. However no improvement.
That is when I started searching TH-cam and came across this video. I boiled the water and put a teaspoon of salt in it. Once the water became lukewarm I splashed the water on the eye for a min Or 2. In 10 mins, the feeling of obstacle in the eye went away completely. I felt greatly relieved. Thank you very much for such a simple and wonderful remedy.
