Since I still see people going "Some of these decks are garbage and a 5-year-old could've made them", I feel like I need to stress something further because apparently it wasn't obvious:
This isn't a fucking YCS, this is a bunch of randoms screwing around online with decks of extremely varying quality built around some of the worst archetypes in the game; sometimes it ends up as something beautiful (Genex and Reptilianne), whereas other times we get the BES and the Reactor decks. If you came here expecting a thorough top-tier advanced spicy quesadilla tech fest for every single archetype featured, you're gonna be a tad disappointed since you shouldn't have expected that in the first place; this isn't an objective worth measure of all LotW archetypes, it's a mishmash of lucky contestants attempting to do anything relevant with their build, however terrible it might be.
I'm also not sure where the "most of these decks are shit" argument is coming from, given that most of these are following WotW guidelines as tightly as possible and still manage to make the duels entertaining (save, again, for the Reactor, BES and to an extent the Neos and Venom players).
Problem is, It really is a shame, as you got us excited for some fun and apart from one or two matches (I thought Meklords vs Flamvell was fun) the matches consisted of decks that even on a casual level, appear to be made by people who have never played Yugioh before and just want to take part in the meme side of things.
No, I didn't expect YCS levels of stuff, just people to make decks and play as if they have a brain.

Also, regardless of the type of tournament, (be it in any game, shooters, mobas etc) one sided fights are dull to watch.
I'd wager that, as opposed to "one or two matches", most of these went *exactly* how I expected them to. I groaned while I was watching Vehicroids and BES, I'll give you that, but the majority of the rest was *way* more capable than being "made by people who have never played Yugioh before" or making plays "without a brain".
Just asking, but will the deck profiles for the aforementioned "beautiful" decks (Genex and Reptilianne) be released after the tournament finishes?
I kinda just went "sucks to be you" when I saw Arcana Force had to fight *Ally of Justice*, but hey. It was fitting, in a way, that the shitty luck-based Deck had the shitty luck to face a Deck based on kicking their ass.

The battle between the Neos player's complete lack of offensive capability and the B.E.S. player's total ineffectuality is pretty beautiful. It's like watching a man eat through a wall of custard with a teaspoon.

@@chazzprinceton3892 Even funnier because the Neos player had multiple chances to easily end the game by pulling the very same lockdown Jaden pulled on the anime against the BES dude, by not destroying the BES on the field but instead bouncing them while Boss Rush was active. But for some dumbass reason he did not do so and instead chose the thrill of going through every BES on that deck, apparently. And still fucking won.

@@Bokune9999 if you get rib of MMS in WoTW then it would made archtypes like Dark scropion,Amazoness,Venom,arcana force and vehicroid don't do jack shit in there and probaly lose every single battle unless either of them battle against each other since they're both slower than archtypes that later released on synchro era or not focus on extra deck at all and links won't help them at all even this video made in 2018 and maybe make them even more unplayable since in MR4 you forced to SS extra deck monster the extra monster zone first then you can start your combo here

I was saddened because I was kind of rooting for Vehicroids. I dunno, I have a weak spot for Stealth Union because random GaoGaiGar homage. Also, I am baffled by not going for a Truckroid beatdown; he can become an absolute MONSTER if you don't squash him quickly.

A simple chain material with Connection Zone and Vehicroids do decently so long as they avoid all the bounce stuff, which is why you run Warning and Bribes.

And genex pulls off major plays, I kinda feel sorry for the Arcana force player he fought against the worst possible deck to fight in allies of Justice... deck comprised of entirely light monsters vs a deck literally designed to kill light monsters

I had a Macro-Control deck a long time ago and it used soul absorption to sustain itself... was blown out once by a 'Bad Reaction' I couldn't get rid of. It's why I was vague with the second deck.

Grand Mole vs BES. Just like in the Anime. Seriously I think in the Anime the BES player was beaten by Grandmole alone.
Lorenzo was beaten because GrandMole bounced his BES Big Core to hand while he had Boss Rush on field, meaning he was unable to normal summon/set for shit. And he was planning to get MST on hand to get rid of it. But at least that guy had the foresight to play a set of normal summonable monsters (the 1200 atk Gradius ships) as to not entirely rely on Boss Rush.

You think that was painful? try rooting for vehicroids, only to see them brick because it had about 5 more fusion spells in it than it should have. No machine dupe, machina fortress, monster reincarnation, scrap recycler, assembly line, card trooper, foolish, CotH, COMBO PLAYS. But all the Strikes you could ever want to get twistered!
Especially the Machina plays...

Random f'n loser in the comments' POWER RANKINGS for Round 2!
1. *Genex* - Riding the hype train. Not gonna be able to drop _Trishula_ every game I'm sure so let's see how it does against a more consistent deck before we crown them. Still a fantastic RD1 showing though.
2. *Phantom Beast* - Most impressive showing. I really thought this archetype was DOA. But it not only won against one of the tougher decks but looked pretty good doing it.
3. *Nordics* - I didn't know _BLS_ was actually Nordic support lol. Woulda been nice to see a few Nordic Extra Deck monsters... Still it was able to pump out the Synchros and that's more than a lot of these decks can say.
4. *Flamvell* - Toughest first round matchup imo. Most dangerous deck remaining thanks to _Rekindling_ .
5. *Dark Scorpions* - using cards like _Mirror Force_ to clear field so his monsters get their effects off is clever, I just wonder if it'll work against better decks. Still, another deck I thought was going to lose immediately.
6. *Reptilianne* - That _Beelzeus_ play was sick but probably had the easiest RD1 matchup and didn't impress me.
7. *Ally of Justice* - Second easiest RD1 matchup. Wouldn't count them out just yet, but overall not a great first round.
8. *Neos* - Most disappointing. Maybe I'm an idiot but I expected this deck to be a little better. With all those anime level _Neos/HERO_ spells I really thought they coulda done some GX shenanigans, but instead they looked bad beating arguably the worst deck in RD1.
My sleeper pick for the tournament would have been _Vehicroids_ . With all that generic machine support out there I thought they had a chance. _Guardians_ had to be the hardest deck to make viable. Other than _Dreadscythe_ that deck is awful. Those _Genex_ plays were great, but his opponent was playing _Dark Room of Nightmare_ so he may have had some sort of mental disability. And finally sooo much _Moon Mirror Shield_ lol.
Consistency usually triumphs powerful support. How could you think Dark Scorpions would lose? They have access to one of the few extra deck based 4k attackers (Excalibur), access to a powerful double attacker to OTK (Blade Armor Ninja that sealed both games against the Vehicroid player) while also having access to an universal searcher, being level 4, DARK Warrior (arguably the most supported subset of monsters in the entire game).
As the Nordic player, there being only 3 extra deck nordic monsters that are all level 10 really sucked getting into. Also, they sucked and were worthless. You'll see a few of them later, tho. BLS was the only possible way I could think of inside the rules to give the deck more recovery when they are getting wrecked, which is a HUGE disadvantage of the deck. Hope you keep enjoying the tournament, cuz shit gets hype!
so why does playing dark room of nightmare mean you have a mental disorder??? is there an alternative to it thats better??? from what i can tell is that the reactor player was turning reactors into a stally burn deck which makes sense considering their effects... unless you have a better idea???
Sad but true. Burn is kind of the only string to the Reactor bow, though; without it, they're just really shit destruction effects and an even worse attack-blocker, with a boss you can't summon. Turning them into a Synchro deck at least makes them playable, but it has so little to do with their playstyle that you could probably swap the actual Reactors out for Dark/Machine vanillas of the proper levels and some support and it would improve the deck immensely. (Say, Cyber Soldier of the Darkworld, Spikebot, and Mechanical Snail.)

hey kogarasho made a good amazoness deck, i played it sometimes and it was pretty strong, i think it can beat nordics' asses with a better build
he played it wrong dammit. first of all never use swordswoman for a damn xyz she is best kept out as a suicide bomber as she gives the damage she takes to the opponent. imagine if the nordic player had summon odin and had only freaking 3k lifepoints left. now all the amazoness player has to do is play swordswoman attack odin and use shrink on her and there game over provided there wasn't an attack negation card or spell stopper

I thought it should be focused for synchro spam, and I have more than the minimum Nordic cards in the deck. Maybe let me know your thoughts as the tournament continues.

This is just round one. One of these days the further rounds will be uploaded. And I programmed it a little away from summoning aesir because bringing one of those out takes up your entire hand's resources and a single card like solemn warning or book of moon will lose you the duel.
This reminds me of what I used to love about yugioh, and what ruined it for me. Fun decks that pull of shennanigans and floodgate cards that you draw first or you lose.
yeah man and it sucks tol since even in unranked those decks are EVERYWHERE on ygopro and it makes it borderline impossible to see if your deck functions properly if you get stomped into dust before the duel even starts... ygopro seriously needs like 2 or more rooms or something one for all of your xyzs and stuff and one for everyone else so the people who want to use the be all end all best decks ever that win every time wont have their experience ruined by casuals and people like me, who stick mostly to archetypes that are interesting and fun and even then i generally stick to mostly what that archetype has to offer save for some cards that benefit the deck really well (i also rarely if ever use non archetypical synchros and xyzs), wont have their experience ruined by being unable to play without being impaled for trying to without using a "worthy" deck... seriously i really must say it again the opponent getting 3 synchros/xyzs turn one (how???) doesnt tell me if my deck is dead on arrival it tells me that the meta is screwed up beyond belief... I JUST WANT TO PLAY MY ALIENS IN PEACE!!!
i have in my life been upset from losing to level 1 relinquished decks or foftune lady. but taodally awesome? infinity? you just dont get to play the game
you know now that i think about it... why DO people play toadally awesome over negation effects??? the one thing i ever see them do is negate a spell or trap at the cost of its life and steal it when more often than not it isnt useful to them so it ends up clogging things...

What I love about Neos vs BES is that it’s two archetypes that absolutely hate existing and fight against, just in different ways
I feel bad for Arcana and Vehicroid. The latter had an unfavorable matchup against Ally Of Justice. And Vehicroids.... nah fuck this shitty archtype. Didn't stand a chance against Dark Scorpions and would get crumbstomp against anything.
Venoms were also disappointing. No Vennominaga play and Swamp just fucked them over,
