Not just the energy in dancing but also her confidence. I felt like becuase of the long hiatus that she had no choice but to fend for herself in shows and performances. Also, maturity. All of them grows into a different person now but they're still the 2NE1 we know, and we're all here for it. 🖤🖤🖤
This was actually last minute. The members initiated & decided to do a 15th year commemoration photo shoot only. Then after that the ladies decided to have a meeting with YG. After that meeting, all parties agreed to a reunion project for their 15th yr anniversary. Then turned out to be a global tour. The venue is the same venue they had their 1st concert bec it was so last minute to book big venues but it was nostalgic & very special for 2NE1 & Blackjacks. They are pros & take their live performance seriously. Watch their ballad section. I think you have not fully appreciated their vocals. Their energy on stage is unmatched.
YG announced 2NE1's comeback in the 3rd week of July, the members started practicing by the 4th week of July, in between their individual shows overseas. So, technically, it was last minute but gosh, the way they performed is UNMATCHED with other girl groups considering their age. Bom, CL and Minzy are power belters! Sandara improved so much and still so gorgeous, and they all have this charisma and stage presence that is unique to 2NE1. They are total performers, they don't need to act cute! They are the Idol of Idols, just like BIgbang! They have set the standards so high with their live performances! Notice the crowd partying and not holding their phones up? That's how a concert should be!
0:40 The venue was actually quite small, it was the only venue they could secure on such short notice. They did perform for three days in a row, though. Over 500k people were in the queue for the Seoul tickets, but only 12k managed to get them. I hope the encore concert in Seoul rumors are true so more Blackjacks get to see the queens!

THEY ARE THE CONCEPTS which is why 2nd gen music are miles better than 3rd to current gen. Also, 2NE1 actually only rehearsed like 2-3 months for this. All just muscle memory, i believe.
a little bit unrelated, but i do have to agree that 2nd gen groups are their own concept. it's just 2NE1 dan BIGBANG are bold bold and set a pretty high standard. but when i heard other groups, even smaller one like KARA, T-ARA, Sistar, f(x), etc. i still know it's them because they're the concept itself.

I lost count of how much tears I shed from Day 1 of their Welcome Back concert. This is their 15th anniversary thats why they came back. Im glad they did. The last 2ne1 concert I attended was 2011 in Manila. I miss them so much.

My guess for a huge part of the reason they brought 2ne1 back- WHICH IM SO GLAD THEY DID!!!!! bc current yg groups are just not getting the same love that 2nd/3rd gen yg got (they were known as the artisty label with just absolute talent- which they do still have talent and popularity but they seem to be struggling with getting the same dominance they used to have in the industry). so with 2ne1's continued popularity despite their hiatus and their reunion at coachella being so well received, i think yg is realizing its time to start working with their old groups bc really bb and 2ne1 had something unique that cannot be replicated

Actually Bom is their main belter but both CL and Minzy can belt too. I would suggest to watch this concert’s version of It Hurts, If I Were You, In the Club, and Stay Together. These are some of my favorite songs. Been a Blackjack since 2008 with their song Lollipop with BIGBANG.
I think Bom got the Main Vocal role because of her unique voice, and her technique that was better back then. Nowadays Minzy would easily be the Main Dancer, Main Vocal and Lead Rapper tbh.

CL's solo performance had everyone shook. YG needs to make that a video. G-Dragon was there. I wonder if he closed his eyes when he saw her do the dance break. Usually he does when he sees her do something like that dance break. Everyone's energy was up. I was so proud of Park Bom. She looked confident, had energy and her singing was on point. Their mics were on the entire time. When they slowed things down, their singing was fire especially Park Bom. When she gets into "It Hurts", I cried. When they sung "If I Were You", they sound like they went through 10 divorces, been cheated on 20 times and went broke. Yep, it was that good. I hope YG now realizes that 2NE1 was always a power house. His stock has gone up since he announced their return. The Queens are back and the best leader....the Queen...The Mother...The Alpha...CL held her ground.
The big venue all fully booked, so they got small venue and this is happend in Japan also. But for their encore i think they will have big venue since Dara mentioned in day 3.

The hall capacity is 4000, however 400K+ people queue for their concert but unfortunately YG couldn’t book bigger venue, thus it was expected the encore in Seoul will be at stadium that can hold 50K+ people
The reason they came back is that the members asked YG themselves that they wish to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary by performing on a concert, so YG and the members worked together along with other people to make the show great. They've been practicing since July because that was when YG also announced that 2NE1 was going to be back for an Asian tour.
2NE1 started preparations July 2024. They were only active as a group for 5 years (2009-2014). Bom was mostly inactive. CL and Dara did shows July to September this year. Babymonster performed on Day 2-3 break. Day 1 break was a congratulatory video from idols including IU, GD, Baemon, New Jeans, Aespa, Treasure. Pharell Williams was in the video. There was no other artist for opening act. Concert opened to the early part you did the review on (Bom’s Come Back Home + full Fire song). Hope you watch their ballads and whole concert. YG owned the trademark of 2ne1 so they just could not perform on their own. The reason why Coachella was such a hush and came as a suprise to avoid lawsuit and stopping them. But last May the 2ne1 girls gathered ( as their thing every year) and gave us Blackjack a pic of them together as a 15th anniv gift for us but then the 4 girls decided to do more and decided to go for a concert and for them to be able to do that, they need to ask permission from YG . CL, their leader ,made that possible for them to make it happen. If you only knew what these girls have done for us to make thus happen and we are so thankful for the four girls to make it happen. And trust me even during their prime years ,2ne1 always been like that. Their stage presence is what they drawn us with and we cannot believe that up until today they have not lost that .... i just hope 2ne1 will continue their legacy and not make this one time thing ...

Began practice late july so give or take 2 months worth of rehearsals and other schedules in between. 8:30 Just a lil addition tho. Idk of efra and waleska are familiar with 2ne1's slower tracks but minji and bom can DEFINITELY sing power ballads. As a matter of fact bom was known as a proper vocalist before YG put her in 2ne1. She appeared as a feature vocalist in a couple of GD&TOP songs prior to debuting in 2ne1. Minji on the other hand is fully capable of being a power vocalist as she has sung some gospel music after leaving 2ne1 but even while she was in 2ne1 she sang quite a lot of the more vocally intense lines. YG just for whatever reason wanted to cage her into the rapper/dancer role when she was very capable vocally as well. CL while being mainly a rapper she herself is also a capable vocalist. Maybe they arent top tier in technical terms but they very much are a vocally powerful group as well. Perhaps you guys can react to It Hurts, Missing You and their other ballad type music. Let me get the some facts corrected: When 2NE1 celebrated their 15TH ANNIVERSARY last May (when they released the photoshoot) they WANTED to celebrate it with a concert so they talked wirh YG HIMSELF to help them with the concert since YG still have their song trademarks and the capacity to do massive tour --NOT YG WANTING IN BRINGING THEM BACK. Its the girls who wanted to do this, not even in YG's 2024 calendar lol. Also, the venue is small (8k capacity) and the demand was so high (70k in ticket queuing) so they stretched it out to 3 days to accommodate more. They did say booking a venue with 3 months notice is hard so they can only book this gynnasium where they first held their 1st concert. Reviews are also STAGGERING WITH PRAISE. ALL FANS ARE JAMMING, SINGING, JUMPING AND HAVING FUN!! ALL 3 DAYS!! With multiple celebrities spotted all throughout the 3 day concert.

Sometimes, I hate YG but you gotta admit he makes a lot of sense a lot of times. "Practice so damn hard that it becomes a part of yourself". As a Treasure fan and YG stan, it always amazes me that they literally play on stage, like a lot LOT, amidst slayage of choreos and high notes.

This was actually very last minute I think they started rehearsals in June or July, 2NE1 wasn't even on YG's calendar for 2024! 2NE1 did a photoshoot earlier this year for their 15th Anniversary but they wanted to do a concert to celebrate then all four members met with YG (if I remember correctly CL had a meeting of her own about it before YG met with the other members) since YG still owns the name rights and has the capacity to do a tour and YG agreed but it was very quick thats why the venue was small (8k capacity, bigger venues need to be booked a year-6 months in advance) but meaningful they had their first concert there & because they sold out in minutes they added dates to accommodate everybody tho Dara did tease at one of the concerts they may be an encore concert in the works at a bigger venue. So we'll see.

The OGs are still the AMAZING as always. CL thought of having a commemorative 15 year celebration (month of May) since their debut rather than just photos and dinners together. They thought of concert, told yge about it, several meetings after - they're back. They were never offered a concert btw, this was all 2NE1's doing. They thought about it and YGE is pretty much in kind of slow pace bcs they only have akmu, treasure & babymonster as active groups..
The 2ne1 members knew they wouldn't be able to do this without YG's machineries. And YG gladly let them, must be his dream to bring back his fist daughters as well. Don't be bitter and stop spreading false negative narratives.

CL's solo performance had everyone shook. YG needs to make that a video. G-Dragon was there. I wonder if he closed his eyes when he saw her do the dance break. Usually he does when he sees her do something like that dance break. Everyone's energy was up. I was so proud of Park Bom. She looked confident, had energy and her singing was on point. Their mics were on the entire time. When they slowed things down, their singing was fire especially Park Bom. When she gets into "It Hurts", I cried. When they sung "If I Were You", they sound like they went through 10 divorces, been cheated on 20 times and went broke. Yep, it was that good. I hope YG now realizes that 2NE1 was always a power house. His stock has gone up since he announced their return. The Queens are back and the best leader....the Queen...The Mother...The Alpha...CL held her ground.
UGLY is a must watch from their concert. That's peak 2NE1. I know IATB is their best track, but UGLY just hits different.

The hall capacity is 4000, however 400K+ people queue for their concert but unfortunately YG couldn’t book bigger venue, thus it was expected the encore in Seoul will be at stadium that can hold 50K+ people
The reason they came back is that the members asked YG themselves that they wish to celebrate their 15th debut anniversary by performing on a concert, so YG and the members worked together along with other people to make the show great. They've been practicing since July because that was when YG also announced that 2NE1 was going to be back for an Asian tour.
The band with them is the 4Rise band the band with BABYMONSTER fanmeeting and TREASURE.

2NE1 started preparations July 2024. They were only active as a group for 5 years (2009-2014). Bom was mostly inactive. CL and Dara did shows July to September this year.
Babymonster performed on Day 2-3 break. Day 1 break was a congratulatory video from idols including IU, GD, Baemon, New Jeans, Aespa, Treasure. Pharell Williams was in the video.
There was no other artist for opening act. Concert opened to the early part you did the review on (Bom’s Come Back Home + full Fire song).

YG owned the trademark of 2ne1 so they just could not perform on their own. The reason why Coachella was such a hush and came as a suprise to avoid lawsuit and stopping them. But last May the 2ne1 girls gathered ( as their thing every year) and gave us Blackjack a pic of them together as a 15th anniv gift for us but then the 4 girls decided to do more and decided to go for a concert and for them to be able to do that, they need to ask permission from YG . CL, their leader ,made that possible for them to make it happen. If you only knew what these girls have done for us to make thus happen and we are so thankful for the four girls to make it happen.
And trust me even during their prime years ,2ne1 always been like that. Their stage presence is what they drawn us with and we cannot believe that up until today they have not lost that .... i just hope 2ne1 will continue their legacy and not make this one time thing ...

Began practice late july so give or take 2 months worth of rehearsals and other schedules in between. They were only active for 5-6 yrs frm debut btw. 😅 so being able to perform tgt like this really blew my mind like it seems they didnt disband and were always together performing like no time passed in between. Truly amazing performers.
It was a small venue, but I think there were hundred of thousands in the ticketing queue, that they added a 3rd day. Same thing is happening for the rest of their asian leg.

8:30 Just a lil addition tho. Idk of efra and waleska are familiar with 2ne1's slower tracks but minji and bom can DEFINITELY sing power ballads. As a matter of fact bom was known as a proper vocalist before YG put her in 2ne1. She appeared as a feature vocalist in a couple of GD&TOP songs prior to debuting in 2ne1. Minji on the other hand is fully capable of being a power vocalist as she has sung some gospel music after leaving 2ne1 but even while she was in 2ne1 she sang quite a lot of the more vocally intense lines. YG just for whatever reason wanted to cage her into the rapper/dancer role when she was very capable vocally as well. CL while being mainly a rapper she herself is also a capable vocalist. Maybe they arent top tier in technical terms but they very much are a vocally powerful group as well. Perhaps you guys can react to It Hurts, Missing You and their other ballad type music. I don't really remember if you guys have reacted to them before or not lol

THERE'S A HUGE POSSIBILITY THAT YG WILL HOLD ANOTHER YG FAMILY CONCERT.
Let me get the some facts corrected:
When 2NE1 celebrated their 15TH ANNIVERSARY last May (when they released the photoshoot) they WANTED to celebrate it with a concert so they talked wirh YG HIMSELF to help them with the concert since YG still have their song trademarks and the capacity to do massive tour --NOT YG WANTING IN BRINGING THEM BACK. Its the girls who wanted to do this, not even in YG's 2024 calendar lol.
Also, the venue is small (8k capacity) and the demand was so high (70k in ticket queuing) so they stretched it out to 3 days to accommodate more. They did say booking a venue with 3 months notice is hard so they can only book this gynnasium where they first held their 1st concert.
Reviews are also STAGGERING WITH PRAISE. ALL FANS ARE JAMMING, SINGING, JUMPING AND HAVING FUN!! ALL 3 DAYS!! With multiple celebrities spotted all throughout the 3 day concert.

Actually BIGBANG was first kpop act who began using life band for their concerts and tours. Also their solo tours 100 percent with life bands too.
Sometimes, I hate YG but you gotta admit he makes a lot of sense a lot of times. "Practice so damn hard that it becomes a part of yourself". As a Treasure fan and YG stan, it always amazes me that they literally play on stage, like a lot LOT, amidst slayage of choreos and high notes.

This was actually very last minute I think they started rehearsals in June or July, 2NE1 wasn't even on YG's calendar for 2024! 2NE1 did a photoshoot earlier this year for their 15th Anniversary but they wanted to do a concert to celebrate then all four members met with YG (if I remember correctly CL had a meeting of her own about it before YG met with the other members) since YG still owns the name rights and has the capacity to do a tour and YG agreed but it was very quick thats why the venue was small (8k capacity, bigger venues need to be booked a year-6 months in advance) but meaningful they had their first concert there & because they sold out in minutes they added dates to accommodate everybody tho Dara did tease at one of the concerts they may be an encore concert in the works at a bigger venue. So we'll see.

One of my wishes is also to attend 2ne1 and bigbang concert 😂, I do hope they will be coming to europe this time. Never been to kpop concert since my heart is still on this two groups. The OGs are still the AMAZING as always. They only had 2 full albums and 2 mini , but the song list is topnotch, concert worthy songs 👌🏻… I’ve been watching videos of their concert for these past days and I can’t get enough of it 😂
CL thought of having a commemorative 15 year celebration (month of May) since their debut rather than just photos and dinners together. They thought of concert, told yge about it, several meetings after - they're back. They were never offered a concert btw, this was all 2NE1's doing. They thought about it and YGE is pretty much in kind of slow pace bcs they only have akmu, treasure & babymonster as active groups..
The 2ne1 members knew they wouldn't be able to do this without YG's machineries. And YG gladly let them, must be his dream to bring back his fist daughters as well. Don't be bitter and stop spreading false negative narratives.
They could easily ride the hype and have a full on return if they wanted to but i think they are in a place of doing it for fun rather that a full time job again.
