It is my daily driver in the kitchen now. Maybe some Adobe Premiere Elements (why waste the software I am not using anymore?) for light work and BAM useful again!
@@jamesplayzroblox3143 I was glad I could upgrade the CPU in this one. it isn't all that easy to completely disassemble them and still have them work well at times.
@@O.Shawabkeh Actually, I did that before even thinking of doing the bigger upgrades. I took out the sinning HDD and left it with the prior owner. I already have a PNY HDD inside!
These were my goto laptops in the day "Toshiba" they were built well and lasted. Great video :) money well spent if it gets put back into work.

Good choice on rescuing this good old Toshiba.
Thanks! It is still serving me well as a backup laptop!
I use 3 Toshibas which are classic in 2022. I got a satellite pro l750, satellite pro c650, and a satellite pro L50-A. Still good to use for storage.

@@jamesplayzroblox3143 Yes, I did put an inexpensive SSD inside.
Not a bad specs for modern general use. Pretty nice upgrades actually.
Not bad! I agree. I always wanted a throwaway lappy and now I have one.

Do you have to factory reset the computer to install upgrades?
nope! just put in the CPU and RAM and everything was good to go!
So can i change it for l655 - 1h9 satellite
My answer is probably. It would make sense as all the other models have upgradable CPUs. You won't know for certain until you crack the chassis open.
