Magdalena Dineva I can tell you why she isn't that excited. Singers who are blessed with great voices like her dont have to work much on their songs so they aren't really attached to them. She probley just got a call one morning from a producer telling her to get into the studio because a hit writer wrote a song that would be perfect for her. I bet she recorded the song for less then 2 hours with a team of professional producers who did all the work on the song for her. All she had to do was sing into a microphone for a few minutes. She doesn't do any of the work so she's not invested in the song. Im sure the writers of the song and the producers who edited it were much more excited. To her this is just another stupid song about falling in love that she has been given.

So to everyone who is finding reasons as to why she doesn't sound different at all: how about the fact that SO many people have noticed she is different and sounds different shows that she probably fucking is different.
If you watch her old videos on her youtube channel, she was so bubbly and fun with her make up tutorials etc. & now she's putting this voice and saying certain vocabulary that she never used to say and acting a certain way, trying to be sophisticated.
But then again I remember when she did act bubbly and people called her fake. You just can't please people.
I am no way a hater of Ariana; I love her music. As an artist she is talented, as a person .... Well I don't really care. I do miss the old Ariana but I'm loving her for her music. Just wanted to clarify.

I hope she's not ever suffering with any emotional/mental problems as i act the same way if im going through stuff (always) and am kind of trying to act normal. Hesitation, awkwardness, looking like you're "fake" are all signs she's dealing witht something but trying to compose herself for the world and her career. If you've seen her old videos of her covering songs and talking, she has completely altered the way she talks. Its almost Mariaha'esque. For somebody who doesn't want to be compared to Mariah she sure does everything she can to be her.

I have been a total Arianna fan since way back when, and I have this weird assertiveness/authority feeling to be the one to say "Oh no she is changing because the *real* her, or the old her would be like this" and gosh idk why I feel that way but I do. So here I go again. As we all know she is changing. She is acting, not acting, uh, she is being more mature and calm with things nowadays, more than she ever used to. Now, she is calm and chill and tries to be cool with all the hype in her life. For example, she talks really chill-like at 2:40. Like, she has always been called "down to earth" and such in interviews when she was just a budding star on Victorious. So she tries to keep at natural as possible. Eventually, she now talks with a lower, more relaxed voice to purposely show her natural voice and to distinguish her from her character Cat. However, she used to be peppier and talk like Cat (from the first few seasons of Victorious). Her mannerisms reminded me of Kesha and her personality was so quirky and excited. This kinda shows through at 2:45 but it's not the same. Still, she tries to keep it calm and cool and pretty, yet show herself as natural as possible. Yet she changes, and I bet she doesn't even realize how much of a difference it is. She just sees it as the "fetus", "silly" days. He he but I love her. I am am an avid fan.
