The vignette as a composition format is one of my favorites for creating a more interesting and dramatic sketch. Here we see various vignette examples and I talk through my process and thoughts as I sketch a vignette of a doll maker in San Miguel de Allende.

Hi! This is a wonderful video. Thank you. I wonder if you used pencil to draw or pen? The lines seems dark-ish once you began to paint. If pencil, do you erase them at the end or simply leave as is. If you read this (2 years after you shared this with your audience, thank you in advance.
