Thank you for the comment. I agree that if something simple would be available for the hatches. If I come up with some type of mod for the hatchbacks, I’ll make a video of it. Thanks for watching and supporting the channel
Thank you for your question. Based on this setup, I never had any issues with the folding latch. I appreciate you checking out the video and supporting the channel.
Thank you for your comment. Since the install of this video, it still works fine. Very convenient when your hands are full💯. I appreciate you watching the video and supporting the channel.
You could wrap your springs in some of that circular foam that’s for insulation you may lose that spring noise then.. have fun with it I have a 2018 Civic Si and I love it I have quite a few mods done to mine, mainly a front grill and a lot of interior mods, getting ready to powder coat paint my trunk and hood semi gloss black
Thank you for the comment. Yes that’s a good idea, probly wrapping them would reduce the noise. With that Si having it two-toned with the original color and black would make it look so nice. Keep up the build and let me know how the mods continue. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel
Thank you for your question. The noise is most likely caused by the rubbing of the metal of the springs. One way is using some type of grease lubricant to reduce the sound. I haven’t tried it but this would be just a suggestion. I appreciate you watching the video and supporting the channel. 💯
Thank you for the comment. For the spring set, this only works on the coupe and sedan. The hatchback uses lift support struts. Although in this video towards the end, I do show you another way to have a handsfree trunk opener. Use “ERICKFK8” for a discount on the proautovation.com/ website. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel.
Thank you for the comment. Halfway through the video was the option for handsfree which opens automatically on the hatchback. I also provided a promo code for a discount if interested with that mod. I’m testing another easier way for the hatch to open but still in R&D at the moment. If it works, I’ll do another video. Thanks for checking out the video💯
That's a pretty cool mod! Great video, nice edits! Thanks!
Thanks for the positive feedback. Glad you liked it. It is a simple and cool mod. Your support to the channel is appreciated❗️
I need that auto hatch. I think It's a bummer that they never came with something that simple.

Yeah man I got a 2021 sport hatch cvt and I don’t like how the hatch button on the fob is essentially useless.
Is there any way to unlock it from the key and open it from the inside? I campo side the car and it’s a pain
Unfortunately there isn’t a way. Only opens from the outside.
Thanks for the nice video just got mine working today works great
Awesome! Glad the video helped you out. Thank you for watching and supporting the channel
was lookin for a civic specific tutorial, thanks! 1 question though: Have there been any issues with it pressing against the backseat fold-down latch?
Thank you for your question. Based on this setup, I never had any issues with the folding latch. I appreciate you checking out the video and supporting the channel.
Nice, thanks man!
I need to find something like this for the Hatchback
Nice video I ordered mine off of eBay hope I can install them

So I just install them the same way on my Honda Civic ex 2018
Your welcome
That intro 🤣😂🤣 Great mod vid 🤟🏽
I just hate when my hands are full and can’t open the trunk😅😆. Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel🤙
@@ErickFK8 Facts 😆 Np bro!
Solid pre
Got 2018 Honda civic hatchback (uk) but boot doesn’t open with the remote😢 any solution? Tia
Zip ties is the answer here? That wont last. Plus, it puts pressure on the seat latch. This seems like rigging it, I need a more OEM style solution.
Maybe a metal zip tie?

How to fix the spring making noise when closing?
Thank you for your question. The noise is most likely caused by the rubbing of the metal of the springs. One way is using some type of grease lubricant to reduce the sound. I haven’t tried it but this would be just a suggestion.

Felt.
1:00 When X is done pimpin your ride.
R those still working fine for you , no problem ?!
On the sedan, it is still working good.
Could this be done for the hatchback sport?
Thank you for the comment. For the spring set, this only works on the coupe and sedan. The hatchback uses lift support struts. Although in this video towards the end, I do show you another way to have a handsfree trunk opener. Use “ERICKFK8” for a discount on the proautovation.com/ website.

If this can only be done on a sedan why do you have the thumbnail be a hatch?
