I forgot to mention three things! 1. I'm thinking of doing my first ever book review on Booktube soon. It will be on Rhythm of War by Brandon Sanderson when I'm finished with it. 2. I also will post an announcement for the first Q&A session about reading and reviewing once I reached 3,000 subscribers! The announcement will be posted on my TH-cam channel (either in the form of a video or the community tab) and my Twitter account. 3. What's YOUR favorite ongoing series? :)
I'm really excited for a lot of the series you mentioned here Petrik :) Favorite ongoing series is Stormlight Archive, no contest. The number 2 and 3 would be the Gentlemen Bastard series and Kingkiller Chronicle (I think). In keeping with your 2 books rule: The current ongoing series (except for the ones you've already mentioned) I'm loving are The Black Iron Legacy by Hanrahan, The Keepers by Dalgish and Amra Thetys by McClung.
@@joeri7130 Amazing pick for the top 3! 😃 And hey, I love Black Iron Legacy and The Keepers, too, Black Iron Legacy in particular was really close in making my top 15! I still need to give Amra Thetys a try, though! 😁
Ah it's no worries! I'm the one who should be thanking all authors; without books, I don't think I would've survived this year (or the previous years, really...) 🙏
"And now I'm going to end this video because I want to read rhythm of war". Same Petrick, same. Also, we need the rest of the 'how I met my fiance' story 🙃
“the sooner you come that term, the better” 😩😩😩😩😩 you are so right 😂 the waiting game for book 3 Kingkiller Chronicles is killing me aaaaah *Evan Winter interview*??? 😱😱 asjkasjk yess pleaseee do it soon 😁 i also adore The Stormlight Archive, The Green Bone Saga & The Burning
Hahaha yeah! Accepting the ugly truth! 😂 But if it ever comes out, my excitement will be out of control! Yup! I still have to plan for the date, though, but I'll try to organize it with Evan for next month if possible! 😁 Great minds think alike!
I was convinced to read Stormlight Archive because of your reviews... and now I am obsessed. I just finished Words of Radiance. I am taking it slowly, but thank you for getting me into this journey!
You're so welcome, Riza! I'm so happy to hear that you started The Stormlight Archive because of my reviews. This series is just incredibly special! Can't wait for you to catch up to Rhythm of War at your own pace! 😁
Thanks for this, Petrik - it’s always a pleasure to learn from you! I’m reading seven of the series you mentioned, and I’ll have to check out the others. I very much look forward to your dedicated review of Rhythm of War. My favorite ongoing series is probably the Age of Madness Trilogy, which you might have guessed!
You're welcome, Philip! As always, thanks for watching my video. And whoa, seven? That's a lot already! Glad I can increase your TBR further! 😄 I have this vision in my head on how I want my book review on Booktube should go and formatted, I don't know whether I can nail it or not, though. I really hope I can! 😅 Age of Madness is a fantastic pick! Can't deny Abercrombie's skill!
I started following your reviews from Goodreads. I just started realizing that the books you liked, I liked. Thank you for these videos, I’ve got a nice pile of titles waiting for me.
My favorite ongoing series is probably the Red Rising saga! I check every single day to see if we've gotten a name or release date or ANYTHING for book 6 ;_;
Ashlyn! I didn't know you're a fellow Howler, too! 🥳 Yeah, I'm so looking forward to the announcement of book 6, too! Once it's announced, I'm going to plan my reread through the series accordingly! 😄
Red Rising is an amazing series. Gets so incredible second book and beyond! I think reading Dresden Files as palette cleanser will work nicely, too. Good choice!
I try to start series that are completed, but my two favorite ongoing series are ASOIAF and the Kingkiller Chronicles... The first 2 fantasy series I've ever read that introduced me to the genre. And I've been hesitant to pick up unfinished series ever since. 😂
Hahaha those two are always the culprit! 😂 i think it's worth remembering, though, that majority of authors do managed to release books on a timely manner and complete the series. Sometimes we just forget because of how much we loved Kingkiller Chronicle and ASoIaF! 😁
You're making my life very difficult because you pretty much convinced me to read all of these! Just when I though I was catching up - I suddenly add five series to my TBR
I am with you Petrick. I will read a series regardless of whether it is finished or not. Sometimes the sales from the first book determine whether we get a second one or not so that is something to keep in mind I think the ongoing series I am most excited about is The War of Light and Shadow by Janny Wurts. There are currently 10 out of a planned 11 published and the last one is being written as we speak. Its an extremely complex epic series with difficult prose and a complete analysis of characters and motives. Another series I am excited about is The Last King of Osten Ard by Tad Williams. The last book will be published next year. This series is Tad Williams returning to the world of Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn. The series has not disappointed and it is a great way to see the evolution of the genre.
Yeah! And of course this doesn't mean that we have to buy ALL first book of a series. But if it already interests you very much, I think buying them first to help ensure the continuation of the series is a great decision. OH, that series is quite high on my TBR pile. I've heard so many terrific things about it. Like you mentioned, though, only the last book remains and for this one I think I might as well wait the release date announcement first, which knowing Janny Wurts, it will probably be announced next year. And Osten Ard Saga is one of my priority series to read next year. Tad Williams have been recommended to me so many times and it's crazy that I haven't read ANY of his books! 😂
1) Awesome you included Pierce Brown's Red Rising. Such an underrated series, even though the fandom is pretty big. 2) Glad I made it through this video without spending any money. Peter McLean , Robert Jackson Burnett, Mike Shackle and Fonda Lee will all go on my Wishlist.
For some unknown reason, it seems like on Booktube, Red Rising Saga are more often discussed or mentioned by SFF reader who read either or both YA/Adult SFF; I don't see many Booktubers who specifically read Adult SFF mention this series. No idea why. I do know that Red Rising Saga is very popular and highly praised everywhere else, though! Hahahaha! At least they go to your wishlist. I think you will love these books, especially Peter McLean and Mike Shackle's!
Thank you, James!! The support my patrons gave have been immensely helpful to me, and I'm so glad and thankful that so many people are subscribed to me now! 😃
You say peaky blinders, I immediately add to my cart 🤣 definitely want to check out that priest of bones series! Yes!! I also love the founders series so much!
By the Order of the Peaky Bloindah approved your comment! 🙌 Haha I really hope you'll love the series, Jessie! And so pleased to hear you're a fan of The Founders series, too! 👌
First of all thank you for your video. I don't like reading unfinish series (because I don't have time to re-read before the release a new novel) but I appreciate your video. I buy the books and then wait for the last before putting on my TBRead list.Hmm having enjoy some of the most grimdark fantasy out there; I've checked your goodreads and it seems you didn't read Anna Smith Spark trilogy? Have you heard of it? Rob J Hayes Trilogy The War Eternal (I know you enjoyed Never Die). Another very good fantasy writer it's K J Parker. He has 4 trilogies plus several stand alone novels. There is also Adrian Tchaikovsky ten book series. Spiderlight it's a stand alone novel that blow me away. It's completly different because it grabs some of the "core" fantasy elements and throw it another light like the one you mention of quest and prophecy. Even jokes around those tropes. Michael Moorcock Stormbringer & Glen Cook two series are also very interesting ( I know you read them - part of them)... Cool channel; and I am watching every video. Thank you and keep up the good work and reading :)
Thank you, Paolo! I will do my best!! Btw, I think the fact that you buy books and then wait for the last before reading them is super great already. I do that, too, sometimes, there are series where I prefer to binge read and I usually buy the books first before reading them in that case. That way we're supporting the authors and also can get maximum reading experience! As for the series you mentioned, I did try Anna Smith Spark but I couldn't gel with her writing style at all. The same can be said with The War Eternal, too, but yes I do love Never Die and Pawn's Gambit by Rob Hayes! Now for KJ Parker, I've heard great things about his books, but I haven't gotten around to any of them. And for Tchaikovsky, lately several people have been recommending his ten books epic fantasy series, seems like I really have to start getting those books to read one day!! I've read Chronicles of the Black Company but only gotten halfway, and as for Moorcock I've read only the graphic novel adaptations. In other words... I still have a lot of books to read!! Thank you so much for the recommendations! :D
Hi! Just found your channel because I was following you on goodreads for your great and in-depth reviews. I hope this channel blows up! Excited to see more reviews!
Thank you so much for reading my reviews and subscribing to my channel, too! I'll be uploading my first book review on this channel soon, you're right on time! 😁
So many good books on here Petrik! You know how I feel about Kingkiller 😍. I have actually used the audiobook to fall asleep a few times when I've had trouble sleeping recently. The rereadability of this series amazes me. P.s. I really enjoyed The Way of Kings on my reread! I think im gonna give it 9/10.
You have reread The Kingkiller Chronicle more than me, I definitely plan to reread the series next year when the tenth anniversary of Wise Man's Fear comes out! Also, very glad to hear that The Way of Kings reread is working better for you! 👍
Great video, Petrik, I always enjoy these. I never started the Rothfuss books because I was so badly burned by Martin. I agree with you about books 4 and 5, in ASOIAF, they are ok, but of a much lower quality than the first 3. That does sound like an interesting idea though, reading the two simultaneously as if they were one volume.
Thank you, Dustin! Ah I understand what you mean! It seems like many readers have mentioned that book 4 and book 5 of A Song of Ice and Fire improved so much on reread, so who knows, maybe I won't need to use that reading guide after all. But it does sounds interesting, isn't it!? 😄
I love your book reviews - so succinct and eloquent and I had a feeling Sanderson would take the top spot. I only started reading his work last year but since then I have read six of his novels and hope to start Words of Radiance very soon. I agree his work is incredibly accessible and his Mistborn series blew my mind! I’ve also just got into Joe Abercrombie too and loved The Blade Itself - his characterisation is 👌 Foundryside is also on my radar and all because of you 👍
Aww thank you so much for this comment, Lauren! Your kind words have made my day! Words of Radiance is SO AMAZING, btw, that book was near flawless to me! I'm glad to hear that you loved The Blade Itself, too! Abercrombie is another one of my favorite authors! Let me know what you think of Foundryside when you get to it! 👍
You’re very welcome, Petrik 😊 I’m slowly making my way through all of your videos as I don’t want to miss out on any potentially new favourite books! And I will of course let you know my thoughts when I read Foundryside!
I was right with you until Kingkiller. I wanted to love it I really did. Wise mans fear broke me half way through I was so angry lol. I can laugh about it now but I rage quit it. I’ve never been so mad about a book.
Oops! That's too bad that The Wise Man's Fear didn't work for you! But you're not the only one, I know many readers are heavily disappointed with it, too! 😂
I like your positive disposition towards those series that will probably never be completed. So I think now I'll try to relate to the unfinished Kingkiller Chronicle as an ongoing story that just probably won't all be written down. Likewise A Song of Ice and Fire. Maybe this will help - maybe.
Years ago, they used to frustate me, but now I really have way too many books/series to keep me entertained already. A few incomplete series doesn't bother me at all now 😂
my favorite book reviewer now has a youtube channel??? OMG i find i have the same opinions and takes on books as Petrik so this is an instant sub for me.
Loved the Video! I am curious to see where Age of Madness lands in your completed series ranks. I loved book 3. If you're ever in need of TH-cam material you should do a video on book collecting. I am sure most of your subscribers are not only avid readers, but also avid collectors. Every time I read a book that blows me away I go and buy the first edition hardcover. I never plan to sell any but its just fun to imagine what they will be worth after I am gone. It would be cool to get your opinion on which books you think will still be a staple in the genre 75 years from now!
Thank you, James! It's a bit hard for me to rank where Age of Madness stands because my enjoyment of it is heavily enhanced by the fact that I've read all the previous series in First Law. I'll say, though, that the entire First Law World (The three trilogies + Sharp Ends+ is in one of my top 5 completed fantasy series of all time! :) That's a good idea, actually. I never thought of making that kind of video before. I'll try to think of a content to match that! Thanks for the suggestion!
I recommend The Suneater series by Christopher Ruocchio. Christopher’s prose is beautiful and while sci-fi, this is such a good read and engaging. I think you would love it if you enjoy the prose of Patrick Rothfuss.
Sun Eater is on my TBR for 2023, unfortunately! But well, it gives me time to gather the books first. I'm still hoping the hardcover of the first book will be available again! 🤣
Great video! I have read and agree on soooo many of these! I definitely need to get to the band asap. One for me that I love and is unfinished is the poppy war series - of course, not unfinished for long! Can't wait. Also it is so sweet that you met your partner over red rising❤️
Thank you so much, Ellyn!! Always great to find a comment from you. The Band is soooo good! And The Burning God is out now, I hope you'll enjoy reading the conclusion--one of my the best conclusion to a trilogy I've read so far! 😄
I can't wait! Definitely going to be an emotional one! I know it is out in most places but here in the UK our date was pushed to the 26th so little while to wait. Might go and start kings of the wyld now I am so interested especially in the music aspect!❤️
@@ellynbarclay3121 Ah yes! Sorry, I forgot that The Burning God comes out next week in the UK! One more week then, and hey, it's time to read Kings of the Wyld! 😄 Kings of the Wyld used 70's music, and Bloody Rose used 80's music! I hope you're familiar with them!
Yeah not long left now! I am familiar with most of the music, more so 80s than 70s but I love the styles so can't wait to see how it fits in with the story!❤️
I’m not sure why this is, I’ve never read any of your good reads reviews, I just stumbled across your channel, but I trust your opinions implicitly. I watch a lot of book tube. And I’ve never adjusted the order of my TBR. But I have gone back and not only added, but adjusted the order of series to be more in line with your recommendations. The Band, city of stairs, Shadow of what was lost, have all jumped up significantly on my list.
Aww that's superb! Glad you find this channel to be that beneficial!! 😊 You can check my reviews on Goodreads for detailed reviews, there are hundreds of them there! 😄
I've had Evan Winters on my TBR for awhile now. Your description of his work as a mashup of Abercrombie and Pierce Brown may need to push it way up the list though!
Wow, I have never read the Kingkiller Chronicle and I didn't know it's looking worse in terms of completion than it does with Asoiaf... Anyways, I wanted to thank you for the great recommendations and for making me come to terms with probably not seeing A Song of Ice and Fire completed. That book series led me to enjoy reading fantasy books and learning English at 16 (I talk like a native speaker since just 1 or 2 years after I started reading it), so it has a big place in my heart and life and I just was not able to accept it probably not being finished before. It helps knowing that it inspired other great authors :)
Haha i think both are about the same! But anyway, whether they'll be finished or not, I'm glad to have read them! I know I'll continue to read them again in the future. I don't fall out of a series/books just because the series isn't finished! 😄 Especially when the series are special, just like ASOIAF for you!
Hi Petrick! First of all 82 unfished ongoing series. That's a huge number. You might have read every fantasy author's books. I usually like to complete a series at a time. Can't handle long waits. But From next year I'll definitely try to read more authors. My current is Of Blood and Bone trilogy. I'm currently reading the last book A time of Courage. Last week I finished The Legends of the First Empire series and I think this 2 series going to be my favorite series this year. Lastly, I'm glad you're going to publish a book review. I was waiting for it for so long. Haven't read Brandon Sanderson's work, but I'm looking for to read it in near future.
Thank you, Sumit! Hahaha, crazily, there's still sooooooo many fantasy books/series I haven't read; I want to get to them all! 😄 A Time of Courage is EPIC, enjoy it! Haha yeah, I didn't feel ready for a video book review yet, but this time I want to try it and see how it goes! When you do get to Sanderson's books, I hope you'll enjoy them. If you do, oh boy, you'll have so many of his books to add to your TBR! 😆
Haha - now back to RoW. :P I have to say, I LOVE your perspective on Martin's series. The idea that his worth is much greater than an unfinished series - it's more about how many amazing writers he's influenced. Such a great way to look at things. :) We have a lot of similarities between lists. My favs not mentioned are mostly urban fantasy - all things Ilona Andrews. Patricia Briggs. And two scifi - Murderbot and Expanse.
I seriously started reading Rhythm of War after recording this video! 😂 Thanks, Niki! I think many readers prefer looking whether an author is capable of finishing what they've started or not. I personally look at Rothfuss/Martin's books and I'm more amazed that they've influenced and make countless readers love reading fantasy books despite their series being unfinished, and I think that (in a way) is something incredible. I still have to read Kate Daniels and Mercy Thompson one day, I think my next UF adventure will be Craig Schaefer's books first, though! And I've read the first book of Murderbot; I think it was good, but not sure whether I'll continue yet for now! 😂
@@PetrikLeo It's such a refreshing perspective, it might make someone think a little deeper before feeling bitter and resentful towards these authors. I'm not sure those UF authors will sing to you quite the same as they did me, but they're fun reads all the same. :) I've been eyeballing Schaefer lately, hope he's good!
@@nikihawkes9950 thank you, Nicole! Haha, hopefully I'll be able to bring some positive energy! Plus, it's not like being resentful and angry towards authors for not finishing their series would mean they write faster anyway. 😅 Yeah! It won't be anytime soon, too, but I hope when I do get to them I'll enjoy them. Schaefer's books, in particular, sounds like it will click with me, and i hope it will for you, too! 😄
Thank u for the recommendations. I dont see a lot of people mention christopher ruocchio's the sun eater series witch has 3 books out now. The series gets better from book to book. Its definitely on my top on going series list.
You're welcome! Ah yeah, I've heard abotu Sun Eater series for a while now. I'm still keeping it on my radar, but there's a chance that I'll check this one out in the future! 😁
YAY PETRIK!!! I am so glad you have a TH-cam channel I have been following your Goodreads reviews for ages!!! Although now my TBR is going to get crazy big!!! 😂😂
Thank you, Mel! I didn't know you're here, too! I love your review on Dawn of Wonder (which i still need to read) and it's so cool to see you here! 😊 Don't worry, my TBR is infinite as well! 🤣
@@PetrikLeo Oh thanks! That was a good one! The authors health has deteriorated though so no date for a release of the second anytime soon. Hopefully he will continue the series! Yes NEVER ENDING TBR mountain!!! If only there were more hours in the day! Looking forward to your videos!!! 😀😀
Yeah I've heard about that! I hope he'll get well soon! Such a shame because the first book is so well-loved! I look forward to reading it, hopefully next year! And thank you so much! I so agree with you that we need more hours in a day! 😀
I enjoyed the debut novel by Robert Jackson Bennett, Mr. Shivers. It reads like a cross between The Stand and the novels of John Steinbeck. I'm curious to read his standalone sci-fi novel American Elsewhere, both from Orbit.
You may have convinced me to give the red rising series another shot. I started it and didn't get through the first book, but if you hold it this highly... I think I'm pusuaded.
Good luck! The 2nd book is a good place to decide whether the series is for you or not, imo. If you don't like the 2nd book, I guarantee the rest of the series won't be for you. 😄
I completely agree, Manifest Delusion series is special 👌 Also, just finished Priest of Bones and I'm definitely going to continue the series. Great video 🙌 ☀️
Thank you, Mark! So excited for the final book in Manifest Delusions to come out. I hope Fletcher will write it ASAP! And that's great! You're going to love Priest of Lies even more! Man I love the first person narration of that series so much! 🙌
I hope that he doesn't pass before it's done, of course, but in the horrible case that happened, I think Abercrombie or Daniel Abraham will be able to finish what he started satisfyingly. 😊
@@PetrikLeo It worked out with Jordan and Sanderson. But sadly, at George's pace, it's quite likely to happen. The only other incomplete series I'm so invested in would be Outlander which has a much younger writer with a much stronger work ethic.
@@simgingergirl yeah, unfortunately! 😟 Speaking of Outlander, Diana Gabaldon just announced yesterday she's almost done with the 9th book. The audiobook is on production already! 😁
This series is still going? I thought the release of the fourth one this year was the last one. Highly anticipated for me, definitely want to get to it once its done.
Arghhhh I was REALLY CLOSE to adding Books of Babel! i think if it's a top 20 it would've been there. I'm definitely rereading the series from the beginning before the fourth book comes out next year!! 😁
Happy to see this channel gaining more momentum! I am a big fan of ASOIAF too. I think the last two books are pretty lackluster too(compared to the the first few). GRRM decide to fork even more plots(when he should have been winding them down). A Feast for Crows had unusually strong feminist vibes with all the new female POV chapters. That detracted from the main story quite a bit.
Thank you so much! 😁 Yeah, I agree with you on the additional plots in book 4 and (especially) book 5. I think that's a huge reason why he's struggling so hard with writing book 6 now; there's so many moving parts! But many readers have mentioned that they improved so much on reread, so I'm quite hopeful! I didn't actually notice the unusually strong feminist vibe that you mentioned, though!
Great video...and loved the tidbit on how you met your fiance. Books with personal history definitely have a special place in the heart and those are the ones I love the most. I find that I have to jot down notes on ongoing series to help trigger my old brain nowadays...and I do appreciate it when books have a recap :) I want to read The Green Bone Saga but will patiently wait for the release of the third book so I can binge read them...heard lots of good things about that trilogy. Loved seeing your list!
Thank you very much! And I totally agree, Tang! I love reading reviews about books that has a special place/moments in the reviewer's heart, too. And yeah, I completely wish that recap is a norm rather than a rarity. With so many series I'm reading, it helps when there's a recap for me to jog my memories when I don't have the time to reread the previous book. 😁 I hope you'll love Green Bone Saga, it's one of the best series to be released in recent years, imo!
Haha I had just asked you on Twitter a few weeks ago if you read Berserk, so when you mentioned "other series you're caught into.." I had a feeling where it was going
Favorite ongoing series is ‘the Black Company’ by Glen Cook, one last novel to complete it. But, honestly... the ending of its 4th omnibus was strong, so I’m good regardless.
I've read Black Company up to book 5, I haven't continued past it! I enjoyed it, but not really loved it. I heard that the 4th omnibus is the best of them all, so fingerscrossed! :)
It is very good to read unfinished series and reread them before next book.... If you can read fast! Which sure you can do Petrik. If I do that, oh boy, what a tragedy :-)
Hahaha that's true! To be fair, I don't reread that often, too. I wish I have the time to reread them all, that's why I really appreciate authors who include detailed summaries of the previous books! 😄
I was upset King Killer only made number two but you can't really argue with Stormlight Archives, if I'm being brutally honest you are right to have them this way round, especially considering how much more likely Stormlight is to get finished. I maintain hope for Doors of Stone but I'd rather have Pat happy and not have the last book than for him to make himself miserable and put out something he isn't proud of, we are still very lucky to have the books we have. I did the thing with reading the two ASOIAF together following the chapter guide and it didn't make much differance, 1-3 really great and some fantastic characters, but I just don't care about most of what happens in the last two books. I'm on the fence if I'll ever finish it even if he does release more. A series I've been enjoying despite a few flaws is A Pattern of Shadow & Light by Melissa McPhail, have you read it? I really like a lot of the characters in that seise and especially how the first book ends. If you haven't read it I recommend trying it, it's the closest thing to a Sanderson book that isn't by him that I've come across, first time I read it I forgot it wasn't Sanderson. It does suffer a little with the multiple PoV characters problem where it can be many chapters between seeing what all of them are doing and some characters dissaper for entire books and you wonder if she just couldn't figure out what to do with them for now so literally had them sit out. But I have read all the books that are out up to now and I'm excited for the next one! I really need to stop rereading Sanderson and Rothfuss books and start new series more, I should but I probably won't, so many in this video and the 15 finished series video that look right up my ally. I have First Law sat on my shelf hardly started, really need to set more time aside for books next year... after my 12th King Killer reread of course!
The Stormlight Archive and The Kingkiller Chronicle will quite likely remain on these top two spot for many years to come. I think Sanderson is doing something legendary with the series, every book so far has been a real masterpiece! Like you, I'm grateful to have book 1 and book 2 of KKC out, and i hope book 3 will come out one day. But if not, I'm just happy to have read them. As for ASOIAF i'm still not sure how I'll feel on rereading it because I've never done it. But I heard many have said it improved so much on reread. I do have A Pattern of Shadow and Light on my TBR! I'm waiting for the last two books to be released before I read this one so i dont have to spend my time rereading them just for the sake kf refreshing my memory. 😅 I love both Sanderson and Rothfuss books, and I won't stop you from rereading them over and over again. Do try to read other series when you feel like it though, there are many amazing series in the world to experience! 😊
1. All Brandon sanderson series. 2. Drizzt Do'Urden books by R. A. Salvatore 3. Dresden Files by Jim Butcher 4. Ridmark Arban book series by Jonathan Moeller 5. Chronicles of An Imperial Legionary Officer by Marc Alan Edelheit 6. Gentleman Bastards by Scott Lynch 7. The Seven Swords (novella series) by Anthony Ryan 8.Burningblade & Silvereye by Django Wexler 9.The Silvan by R.K. Lander 10. Silent Order by Jonathan Moeller 11. Dragons of Terra by Brian Naslund 12. The Rebellion Chronicles by Steve McHugh 13. The Echoes Saga by Philip C. Quaintrell 14. The Keepers Series by David Dalglish 15. Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown Hey. Here would be my list that I accidentally put on first🤣 The list is missing some series that I didn’t immediately remember and the order is done quickly. A Song of Ice and Fire series could not get on the list because George R. R. Martin is LAZY SHIT and will never get the series completed...SORRY harsh truth.
That's a great list! And I still have about half here that I need to check out! That's too harsh. But hey, it's up to you to call him that; I know I won't be able to change your mind. We know he's struggling with writing Winds of Winter, but I personally won't call him a lazy shit when he has published more than 20 books in his lifetime. And as we all know, A Song of Ice and Fire (even if it's unfinished state), has changed million of people's lives. That's, in a way, better than what many other authors (with finished series) achieved. Again, just my thought, it's up to you to feel that way, but I'll respectfully disagree. I DO agree that the series will most likely never be finished, though. 😂
@@PetrikLeo Sorry. I may have put my opinion firmly.. What I meant was that the G.R.R.M should have put the book six years ago as the only project. The G.R.R.M has been putting together more TV and other book projects all the time. The last four years could only have been handled by the main book series. The man is a grisly troll for fans around the world👹 G.R.R.M a great career that produces a lot of books. After 2005, I think it's been huge🐵on his back.
I agree Rothfuss prose are beautiful. Would be interesting to see how his prose compare to Robin Hob, Ursula K le Guin or Guy Gavriel Kay as the best in fantasy? Would you say Rothus Prose are as good or better than Kay for example? Its a tough one Petrik? 😱😆
Ooohhh tough choice between Rothfuss and Hobb for me. Although Ursula Guin and Kay's prose are technically beautiful, their books (that I've tried so far) didn't really work for me. I guess in the end I'll still have to choose Rothfuss's prose, though, there's just something special about his writing that couldn't be emulated easily! 😁
I don't even think I have a favorite ongoing series. I mostly start series when they are finished because I can't stand cliffhangers. I need to know what is going to happen to my babies! My best choice is probably a song of ice and fire, but I haven't read a dance with dragons yet. So it's not like I can't wait for the next one to come out. I agree with you that the first 3 books (actually 2,5 books the last part of a storm of swords dragged a bit in my opinion) are really good but the fourth wasn't as good as the first 3.
There's nothing wrong with that; there are series where I wait for them to be completed first, too, if I know it won't take too long anymore. I usually buy the books first, though, to make sure I'm ready to binge when the next book comes out! 😁 I thoroughly loved A Storm of Swords, but yeah, A Feast for Crows really wasn't as good as the first three books. Definitely not on my first read anyway!
My favorite ongoing, hard to call it that at this point, series is The Kingkiller Chronicles. It got me into reading. For that alone, I don't see it getting dethroned anytime soon.
This was great 👍. Half way through The Name of the Wind, really really enjoying it. So please tell me is it worth continuing the series, what can I expect? A cliffhanger or abrupt ending to the series so far??
Good to hear you're enjoying it! Hmm this is a difficult choice, although I say it's worth continuing the series, but the second book did kinda ends on a cliffhanger (not too bad) that leaves you with a lot of unanswered questions. I guess, it depends on how much you loved the first book to continue or not! 😂
A great list! I'm going to start "recycling" your video ideas for my posts! As for "A Song of Ice and Fire," when you reread the series, you will notice A LOT of "content" put into the stories. A lot of readers dismiss "A Feast for Crows" and 'A Dance with Dragons" until they reread both books (which, were supposed to be 1 large book, originally). That's all I'm going to say without getting into "spoiler territory." Whenever "The Winds of Winter" is released, we (along with other bookblogers and vloggers) must have a long discussion about how the series will end.
Thank you! And thank you for your insight regarding the enhanced experience on rereading A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. Many readers have mentioned this, and it seems to be a common opinion among those who disliked these two books on their first read, which is good for me! Oh god, when Winds of Winter is released, the SFF community would explode! 😁
I might recommend against the 'Feast for dragons' reading order. It interrupts the natural pacing of each book and places chapters that are supposed to be close together further apart which is a problem for recalling events, people, and places. On my first read though I felt the same as you about AFFC and ADWD. Upon reread however, AFFC may be my second favorite in the series. AFFC has 3 problems, its a slow paced hangover after ASOS, it doesn't have the readers touchstone characters (Jon, dany, and Tyrion), and its here that the POV list expands dramatically making it something of a confusing tangled mess that the reader isn't invested in. This is bad. However, on reread I thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was. to be clear 'you have to read it twice' is in no way a good defense of a book with legitimate issues. Also ADWD didn't have this glow up for me until the last third. Just my 2 cents 'feast for dragons' for me was actually a great way to illustrate why just putting events and scenes in order doesnt make a book, let alone a good one. I didn't find it a particularly pleasant experience
Troy, thank you so much for this comment! I LOVE hearing this kind of response and reasoning. I will definitely keep your comment in my mind when I eventually reread it. Plus, It helps that you felt the same as I did on your first through AFFC and ADWD. Also, you and many readers have voiced this: "It's a slow paced hangover after ASOS, it doesn't have the readers touchstone characters" and even though I kinda knew what I was getting into, I don't think i was fully prepared for the actual reading experience itself after how good ASOS was. Thinking about it, I think I will use A Feast with Dragons reading guide ONLY IF my reread through A Feast for Crows ended up being bad. As you said, there's always the probability that my reread would result in a better experience! I definitely hope so. Again, thank you for this comment! 😄
Thanks for the recommendation ima new fan . Read most of your list or they are not available at my library . 2 random favorite recommendations The Legend of the Condor Heroes Chinese fantasy King's Dark Tidings Book Series Fun op character
Welcome to the channel!! Thank you so much for being here, I know of the series you mentioned. I've read the first book of The Legend of Condor Heores, and I might give King's Dark Tidings a series some day!
Hey Petrik, nice work! Can you recommend me one series to read next? I've only finished Harry Potter and Mistbron and am currently reading The Faithful and the Fallen. Thanks in advance
The Faithful and the Fallen is AMAZING! Any particular kind of story/world you're looking for right now? Or maybe you can just jump into the next series after The Faithful and the Fallen: Of Blood and Bone trilogy! 😄
Great recommendation list! Many of those are on my radar too. And I wanted to ask: Have you read The Acts of Caine by Matthew Woodring Stover? It's a four book Grimdark Sci-Fantasy series. I have read the first one, Heroes Die, and loved it. I've heard from other people who've read it, that it's one of their favourite series ever, but that it is a cult phenomenon and flies under everyone's radar and so far I would agree.
Thank you, Marc! And hey, it's surprising that you mention this series. Acts of Caine is a series that have been recommended to me plenty of times, but the cover art of the first book has pushed me off from trying the series... 😂 That being said, this has actually been included in one of my priority series to read next year! I will make a video next month on the list of priority series I'm planning to read in 2021!
@@PetrikLeo That's great to hear! I actually love that cheesy 90s cover art but it couldn't be more misleading! There's nothing cheesy or clichée about this at all. If that's the only reason for hesitation on your part, then by all means ignore it! I think you'll like this if you love Joe Abercrombie, as I know you do. Would love to hear your thoughts on this💪🏿
@@marcweber8509 yup! That's what everyone said to me. I'm going to bypass my feeling on the cover art and not judge the book by its cover for this one! 🤣
I am with you on ASOIAF, book 4+5 were a let down. That said, there was so much setup in those two books for the last two books, if Martin can execute it would be worth it, but yeah maybe A Dream of spring is just a dream.
Yeah! It's unfortunate for book 4 + 5, it's clear that there were a lot of setups and details for book 6 and maybe 7 in the two books; hopefully we'll get to see them visualized in Winds of Winter. 😊 On the plus side, seems like many who disliked book 4 and 5 on their first read have mentioned that these two books improved so much on reread, so at least there's that to look forward to if you want to reread the series! 😄
It's so amazing, imo! If you're waiting for it to be completed, you might be waiting for much longer! 😂 But anyway, it's a series that gets EVEN better on reread!
@@PetrikLeo maybe when I'm caught up with Stormlight Archive, Gentlemen Bastards and Age of Madness. I've heard the re-readability of Kingkiller is ASOIAF levels.
I agree, that it's better for your emotional health to believe that ASoIaF, Kingkiller Chronicle and Berserk are never going to be finished. Because the probability for that is high. I'm also an optimist and hope the will be finished - by the original authors, mind you - but if they are, it's going to be a positive surprise.
Exactly this! I'm always surprised by how much anger are vented everyday towards the unfinished state of A Song of Ice and Fire and Kingkiller Chronicle. There are still SO MANY amazing series out there to check out! The waiting for their next books could be used for us to go through our endless TBR pile in the meantime! 😂 As you said, if it comes out, it will be a positive surprise then!
its got to be abercrombie for me right now. stormlight archive was far and away my favorite ongoing.. until i read rhythm of war. from part three to the end feels different from the rest, and not in a good way.
Abercrombie is amazingly consistent with his works! I can't wait for Wisdom of Crowds to come out this year, it will be the last book in First Law for a while. I understand what you mean regarding Rhythm of War btw, Part 3 and the flashback chapters was a mixed bag for me as well. But thankfully I loved the rest!
@@PetrikLeo Totally missed that. Hard to hear sometimes at work. Decided to start the first law series after watching your videos. Glad I stumbled across your content. Keep it up!
Just finished stormlight archive book one and two both are a masterpieces , the way of kings is epic ,word of Radiance is more epic, journey and thrilling it was was a great sequel, when i was reading book two felt a Head sickness and dizziness so i stop reading this 2days but cannot stop thinking about it the most novel I reacted within when characters meet each other and fight with a white assassins and kaladin monologues , the stormlight archive is too slow burn and felt like watching a tv shows , Hopefully they make a TVs or anime , easily become top TVs ever with nirvana in fire , game of thrones and breaking bad
Yeahh! Both The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance are so epic and incredible. I remember the first time I read those two books back to back. I seriously was so amazed by everything. Best ongoing series of all time for sure for me! :)
I don't want to claim that he's completely done as a writer, but considering that her editor hasn't seen any words of Doors of Stone written by him since The Slow Regard of Silent Things, I think it's better to not have hope on any future books by him, and who knows, maybe he'll surprise us instead. 😁
Hi Alicia! Honestly, most of them came review requests from the authors, if they looked or sound interesting I usually will accept to read and review them. Other option is to check out SPFBO competition held by Mark Lawrence! Majority of the books by the finalists each year are worth checking out! 😊
Help..I am so stuck on Oathbringer! He just goes around trying to get people to use it. And I'm just getting bored ☹ I want to read the 4th book so bad lol
Oh no! So sorry to hear that it isn't working for you, Christy! Btw, what do you mean by "trying to get people to use it" exactly? 😊 Also, this will differ with readers of course, I actually think the fourth book has more sluggish moments compared to Oathbringer!
@@PetrikLeo This is where I'm a little confused. He tries to convince other leaders to be on his side to attack this kind of dark force. And he uses this device or rock formation to transport ( they have to have the rockformation as well) to convince others as proof that he's not nuts. I'm still in the beggining. Its been around a year since I touched the book. A part of me thinks I need to start over again because obviously I'm not making sense.
@@bookemchristy4706 ah I know which part you meant! I thought all the planning and convincing other leaders for unity part to be very engaging, though! 😅 As you mentioned, it could be that you might need to start again because it's been a while for you; at least I hope that's the case, not because the book is actually boring 😂 Good luck, Christy!!
Salam kembali! And I already did! I've done several discussion videos with other booktubers like Elliot Brooks, Philip Chase, Abby Salter, and several more. There will be more to come in the future! 😁
Nothing wrong with that mind, Jimmy! I personally don't mind but not every reader has to feel the same way as me. And tbh, i did feel the same way sometimes before, until I realized two or a year ago that there are still so many series I haven't finished; turns out i don't mind them at all! 😂
Oh absolutely! Hahaha if you check my early videos, there are some clip of me playing Bloodborne! Btw, The Demon's Souls remake looked soooooo goood! 😱
@@ZamWeazle Hahaha they're not! But I do love grimdark as well! 😄 I think if I were to rate The First Law series as whole, it would be in my number 2 favorite ongoing series spot!
Sanderson has plans for 4 Eras in the Mistborn world. Era 1 is complete, and 3/4 of Era 2 are out. Just in case anyone is like me and waits for most ongoing series (I haven't started Era 2 yet) 😊
@@MKTraxel Yeah! Arghhh I've been waiting for Lost Metal since 2016! The current plan is to release it in 2022, and I hope Sanderson won't postpone it again! 😊
Kingkiller Chronicle (:
I'm really excited for a lot of the series you mentioned here Petrik :)
Favorite ongoing series is Stormlight Archive, no contest. The number 2 and 3 would be the Gentlemen Bastard series and Kingkiller Chronicle (I think).
In keeping with your 2 books rule:
The current ongoing series (except for the ones you've already mentioned) I'm loving are The Black Iron Legacy by Hanrahan, The Keepers by Dalgish and Amra Thetys by McClung.
A Song of Ice & Fire. Always. Even if we will never get Dreams of Spring 😔😞😣😖😫😩😭💔☠️
@@raressuchea5971 yaaaasssss! 🥳
@@joeri7130 Amazing pick for the top 3! 😃 And hey, I love Black Iron Legacy and The Keepers, too, Black Iron Legacy in particular was really close in making my top 15! I still need to give Amra Thetys a try, though! 😁
“A Dream of Spring is a dream.” Very quotable. 😂
Just have to be realistic about this thing... 😂
@@PetrikLeo Made me laugh out loud 😂
In a world where many people feel that they are owed something, I love your gratitude toward authors and the stories they have given us. Thank you 🙏
Ah it's no worries!
Rhythm of War is sooooo goood! 😁
Eh really? I didn't think it would be an interesting topic. 😂
“the sooner you come that term, the better” 😩😩😩😩😩 you are so right 😂 the waiting game for book 3 Kingkiller Chronicles is killing me aaaaah
*Evan Winter interview*??? 😱😱 asjkasjk yess pleaseee do it soon 😁
i also adore The Stormlight Archive, The Green Bone Saga & The Burning
Hahaha yeah! Accepting the ugly truth! 😂 But if it ever comes out, my excitement will be out of control!
Yup! I still have to plan for the date, though, but I'll try to organize it with Evan for next month if possible! 😁
Great minds think alike!
I think we will see Kingkiller Chronicle 3 before ASOIAF 6.
My forever number one - Best served cold by Joe Abercrombie.
I’m so happy Dresden made your list. I can’t get enough of Mab and the fallen.
Best Served Cold is amazing! And I'm quite surprised myself that Dresden made it to the list, I didn't expect I would enjoy it that much! :)
Age of Madness is a fantastic pick! Can't deny Abercrombie's skill!
@@PetrikLeo I’m confident your RoW review will be excellent!
I started following your reviews from Goodreads. I just started realizing that the books you liked, I liked. Thank you for these videos, I’ve got a nice pile of titles waiting for me.
That's great, Matthew! I hope you'll find many great books through my reviews. :D
My favorite ongoing series is probably the Red Rising saga! I check every single day to see if we've gotten a name or release date or ANYTHING for book 6 ;_;
Ashlyn! I didn't know you're a fellow Howler, too! 🥳 Yeah, I'm so looking forward to the announcement of book 6, too! Once it's announced, I'm going to plan my reread through the series accordingly! 😄
I just started Red Rising. Really liking it so far. And Dresden Files but I think I might use those as palette cleansers for Malazan.
Whoops! 😅 To be fair, I can't ever catch up to my TBR pile, too. They increased at an astonishing rate! 😂
Thanks for the recommendations! I’m really enjoying your content and channel.
You're welcome! And thank you for watching it! 😁
That's such a great way to refer to the upcoming asoiaf books. It certainly is just a dream! ❤️
Hahaha it's true! 😂 But hey, as I said, I'm okay with it! If it comes out, I'll be glad to be proven wrong!
yaaaaaaaa Red Rising Howler through and through! Love me some Sevro and Victra *howls* lol
Yesssss! Fellow Howler!!! Awwwwooooooooohhhhhhh! 😂
I’m currently getting through Bloody Rose. Such a fun time! I agree with The Band placement on this list
Nice!! I hope you'll continue to enjoy the book. It's such a great series, imo! 😄
16:38 “My current fiancé” wow, gotta be careful with your word choice 😂 that could get you slapped!
Don't worry. I immediately told my fiance back then that I misspoke! 🤣🤣
I am with you Petrick. I will read a series regardless of whether it is finished or not. Sometimes the sales from the first book determine whether we get a second one or not so that is something to keep in mind
I think the ongoing series I am most excited about is The War of Light and Shadow by Janny Wurts.
Peter McLean
, Robert Jackson Burnett, Mike Shackle and Fonda Lee will all go on my Wishlist.
Rhythm of war is my second favourite storm light overall under words of radiance. Was really pleased with it.
Wow you finished already!? I'm still at 25%! That's super great to hear, though! I've been enjoying it immensely! 👍
War for the rose throne sounds very interesting. Congratulations on so many subscribers and patrons so quickly.
Thank you, James!! The support my patrons gave have been immensely helpful to me, and I'm so glad and thankful that so many people are subscribed to me now! 😃
Great video as always!
I hope next top 15 video is about your favourite standalones :)
Thank you, Marco! Oh no, you've guessed it! 😄 Hahaha, I want to do favorite self-published, too. I hope I can do both next month!
There is also Adrian
Tchaikovsky ten book series.
Nice one 👌.Have to add few more to my ever growing TBR after watching this video !
Congrats on reaching 3K subscribers 👏
Thank you so much!! Oh yeah, you're right! I didn't notice that! I'll put an announcement for a Q&A tomorrow! 😁
OMG
i find i have the same opinions and takes on books as Petrik so this is an instant sub for me.
Hahaha, thank you so much for the kind words and subscription! I am still a Booktube newbie, so please understand if I make mistakes here and there! 😄
I came across your channel 2-3 days ago and i must say I absolutely love your videos and already watched all of them
Yay!!! Thank you so much! I truly appreciate that! I hope you'll stay and enjoy all my future videos! 😊
Sansa's arc in A Clash of Kings is just so good. I read it at 15 and felt so strongly for her. George RR Martin's female characters are just so great.
Agreed! I think all of his characters were well-written whether we like them or not! 😁
That's a good idea, actually. I never thought of making that kind of video before. I'll try to think of a content to match that! Thanks for the suggestion!
So many great recommendations, thanks Petrik!
You're welcome, Joanna! I hope you'll enjoy them all! 😁
Kings of the Wyld used 70's music, and Bloody Rose used 80's music!
I think the comparisons are well-deserved and it still has its own charm to it! 😊
@@PetrikLeo I was able to find the audiobook, so I'm in luck. 💪 😁
Yeah! It won't be anytime soon, too, but I hope when I do get to them I'll enjoy them. Schaefer's books, in particular, sounds like it will click with me, and i hope it will for you, too! 😄
Added a few of these to my tbr. Thanks 😊
You're welcome!! 😊
Amazing list. Added a lot of these to my TBR 😁😁
Thank you, Om! Super pleased to hear that! 😁
I enjoyed the debut novel by Robert Jackson Bennett, Mr. Shivers. It reads like a cross between The Stand and the novels of John Steinbeck. I'm curious to read his standalone sci-fi novel American Elsewhere, both from Orbit.
I haven't read those yet! There's also The Troupe by him, which is published by Orbit as well, that I need to get to one day. 😅
I completely agree, Manifest Delusion series is special 👌
Also, just finished Priest of Bones and I'm definitely going to continue the series.
Great video 🙌 ☀️
Thank you, Mark! So excited for the final book in Manifest Delusions to come out. I hope Fletcher will write it ASAP!
And that's great! You're going to love Priest of Lies even more! Man I love the first person narration of that series so much! 🙌
@@PetrikLeo I saw that Fletcher was reading The Mirror's Truth..
One could only hope that means we're getting the next book soon
@@slowlyred2082 no way, really!? 😃 That's a good sign! Fingerscrossed!
I love what you said about George. Even if he passes away before it's done, Joe Abercrombie will be around to finish the series.
@@PetrikLeo That audiobook is going to take FOREVER to record! LOL! Gabaldon can WRITE!
Several of these series you mentioned are high on my list of ongoing series. I would also add Josiah Bancroft's Books of Babel series...soooo good!!
This series is still going? I thought the release of the fourth one this year was the last one. Highly anticipated for me, definitely want to get to it once its done.
@@JamesI88 the fourth book is out next year I think.
@@clairemeehan7250 you are right, I thought november 2020, but it is november 2021. Looking forward to it
Arghhhh I was REALLY CLOSE to adding Books of Babel! i think if it's a top 20 it would've been there. I'm definitely rereading the series from the beginning before the fourth book comes out next year!! 😁
@@JamesI88 I think Bancroft will be able to nail the conclusion next year!
Hi I just came from good reads. I love your reviewsssss
Hi! Thank you so much!! 😁
Glad to see you're making videos always full of great recommendations it's Mason from goodreads if you remember!
Of course I remember! Thank you for supporting me here, too, Mason! 😊
Your most underrated fantasy books next perhaps 🤔?
Great suggestion! It's definitely still on my plan to do! 😁
Haha I had just asked you on Twitter a few weeks ago if you read Berserk, so when you mentioned "other series you're caught into.." I had a feeling where it was going
Hi, Nathan! Haha yeah, Berserk just popped to my mind when I was talking about unfinished series. I haven't even mentioned Hunter x Hunter! 😂
I like the end of this video... you're funny! 😂
Hahah thank you 😄
Favorite ongoing series is ‘the Black Company’ by Glen Cook, one last novel to complete it.
I love both Sanderson and Rothfuss books, and I won't stop you from rereading them over and over again. Do try to read other series when you feel like it though, there are many amazing series in the world to experience! 😊
Yup, amazing list.
Sanderson is the goat 🐐.

14. The Keepers Series by David Dalglish
15. Red Rising Series by Pierce Brown
Hey.
@@PetrikLeo oh Interesting! 👍
I thoroughly loved A Storm of Swords, but yeah, A Feast for Crows really wasn't as good as the first three books. Definitely not on my first read anyway!
My favorite ongoing, hard to call it that at this point, series is The Kingkiller Chronicles. It got me into reading. For that alone, I don't see it getting dethroned anytime soon.
It's an utterly wonderful series! I hope it will have a 3rd book one day, but well, if not I'm still pleased to have read it!! 😄
@@PetrikLeo My sentiment exactly. I enjoy the ride. The destination is just icing on the cake.

Yeahh! Both The Way of Kings and Words of Radiance are so epic and incredible. I remember the first time I read those two books back to back. I seriously was so amazed by everything. Best ongoing series of all time for sure for me! :)
Somewhat new to fantasy. Is Rothfuss done as a writer period, or will he just start up something else?
I don't want to claim that he's completely done as a writer, but considering that her editor hasn't seen any words of Doors of Stone written by him since The Slow Regard of Silent Things, I think it's better to not have hope on any future books by him, and who knows, maybe he'll surprise us instead. 😁
Hi Petrik ! I noticed you review quite a few indie books. How do come across them? I’ve been trying to support indie authors more lately
Hi Alicia! Honestly, most of them came review requests from the authors, if they looked or sound interesting I usually will accept to read and review them. Both are AMAZING in their own way! 😊 No need to choose, we're free to have two or multiple number 1 spot! 😉
Oh no (or oh yes!), time to book haul again
Oh yessss! 😄
If G.R.R. Martin doesn't get to finish the series, Abercrombie should do it for him.
He would be the right guy to do it! 😄 Or Daniel Abraham imo!
Salam daripada Malaysia! You should link up with Daniel Greene,
Elliot Brooks and other fantasy booktubers!
Salam kembali! And I already did! I've done several discussion videos with other booktubers like Elliot Brooks, Philip Chase, Abby Salter, and several more. There will be more to come in the future! 😁
Really want to start Kingkiller but I don’t really want to start a series that most likely won’t ever finish.
Nothing wrong with that mind, Jimmy! I personally don't mind but not every reader has to feel the same way as me. And tbh, i did feel the same way sometimes before, until I realized two or a year ago that there are still so many series I haven't finished; turns out i don't mind them at all! 😂
Dude, Berserk is my favourite manga! The obvious question that must follow is: Do you love Dark Souls and Bloodborne?
Oh absolutely! Hahaha if you check my early videos, there are some clip of me playing Bloodborne! Btw, The Demon's Souls remake looked soooooo goood! 😱
@@PetrikLeo Nice! I knew it :D I pre-ordered a PS5 just so I can play it
@@marcweber8509 envyyyyy!!! Enjoy it!! It will still be a while before I get it! 😂
@@PetrikLeo I hope it won't be long for everyone else. In the end, jolly cooperation is where it's at \[T]/
Hahahaa! Solaire of Astora! \[T]/
Damn I get the feeling this guy likes grimdark fantasy
Yet the top 2 are not! 😆
Whoops, that easy to guess, huh? 😆
@@ZamWeazle Hahaha they're not! But I do love grimdark as well! 😄 I think if I were to rate The First Law series as whole, it would be in my number 2 favorite ongoing series spot!
@@PetrikLeo 😊👍
Mistborn is also ongoing right? Still one more needs to be released I guess
Yeah it is! It's been 4 years since I read Mistborn Era 2, I will reread them in 2022 when the final book comes out! 😆
@@PetrikLeoAm reading Well of Ascension atm, very interesting video btw, thanks!!
@@MKTraxel Wow 4 Era's I didn't know that, am reading Well of Ascension atm, nice to know so many era's
