I didb't realise how many of my favs he did (Supernova, Punch, Cherry Bomb, 2yao2yao, Kick It, Sticker, Don't Call Me, Obsession). Minus some questionable lyrics, every song is a BANGER, especially when you listen to just the melody. The way he created the ultimate neo song (Sticker) too. Amazing!
Not all of the lyrics are written by him, though. He mostly produces the songs and then the demo lyrics are changed by the korean lyricists. For example, GOT’s “Step Back” lyricists were Yoo Youngjin and Ryan S. Jhun who are both Korean and have written/worked on many SMe songs. Just saying this to clarify that most likely those questionable lyrics are not written by him, as he’s American and writes the demos in English and YYJ is known for his questionable lyrics not just for girl groups but even boy groups too.
funny thing is he's actually done a decent number of non-SM songs but SM artists are the only ones that are willing to the do the intense experimental stuff that he's now known for. Honestly I love his sound, he's a producer that keeps making music fun and interesting

He is a well known, and respected music producer in the US music industry. The fact that he is from Compton and is producing such versatile and "Neo" sounding music in kpop makes me admire him even more.

As someone who went to an IVE concert and saw HEYA live I CAN'T EXPRESS HOW GOOD IT SOUND LIVE, the first time I heard the song I got goosebumps but it's nothing compared to when you hear it live. Dem Jointz really knows how to make a drop in a sound feel like you are hearing it live.
if you like his signature style or ‘sm’ sound definitely look up into kenzie (if you don’t know her, of course). the songs they wrote together are pure insanity (e.g. obsession, juice, universe, supernova). i have a video about her as well!
