  • Topic: Anointed for All-Round Peace
Text: Exodus 33:14 says: "And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."
    Isaiah 10:24-27
    Introduction
Our future is unknown to us, and so also are the dangers in it. The Lord speaks in Matthew 6:34 "Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof". This evil can be prevented by the anointing, hence the need for us to operate under the anointing of the Holy Spirit.
Point One | The Necessities of Going Before Thee
It is a futuristic element that differentiates Divinity from others. Revelation 1:8 says: "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty."
    1. It is a general practice that a messenger should go before a king to set protocol in order before the arrival of the king. John the Baptist came to set the stage before Christ came. God does know our future and can be there before us to set things for our smooth ride or assignment.
    Malachi 3:1
    2. It creates tension in the hearts of our future enemies.
    Joshua 2:9-11
    3. It assures of us direction to our divine destinations.
Exodus 23:20 says: "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared."
    4. It gives us victory ahead of the battles we are to fight.
    Deuteronomy 31:3-4
    5. It gives us confidence and assurance of Divine presence.
Exodus 33:14 says: "And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest."
    Matthew 28:19-20
    Point Two | The Anointing
    Acts 10:38
    a. Anointing comes from God.
    James 1:17
    b. Only God can anoint, either directly or through His messengers.
    Matthew 3:16-17
    Acts 2:1-3
Acts 9:3-6 says: "And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks. And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do."
1 Samuel 15:1 says: "Samuel also said unto Saul, The Lord sent me to anoint thee to be king over his people, over Israel: now therefore hearken thou unto the voice of the words of the Lord."
    c. Anointing is connected with the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:1-3 says: "And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them."
    d. Anointing is also connected with oil.
1 Samuel 16:11-13 says: "And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither. And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the Lord said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he. Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah."
James 5:14 says: "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:"
    e. Anointing is connected with power.
The Lord Jesus possessed the power of the Holy Spirit. Same with the church on the Day of Pentecost.
    f. Anointing produces effects.
The anointing breaks yokes, heals, produces good works and deeds, miracles, prevents evil, and brings all-round rest and supernatural wonders.
Psalms 105:15 says: "Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm."
    g. The Anointing is for God`s chosen candidates.
Isaiah 43:10 says: "Ye are my witnesses, saith the Lord, and my servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe me, and understand that I am he: before me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after me."
1 Peter 2:9-10 says: "But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light; Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy."
    Conclusion
Who wants to be a candidate of God`s anointing?
    Let us pray.
