Living in Canada and paying taxes here and below are the details what I am getting in return:
1) free education for all your kids till 12th.
2) free medical and medicine.
3) getting 20000 rs per month for child care from the government it depend upon your family income some people are getting 50000 rs for one child if they fall in low income group.
4) pollution free environment and well maintained parks in every neighborhood. It feels like you live in some hill station in the middle of the city with world class infrastructure.
5) if you loose your job government will pay 1.5 lac rs per month for next 1 year to cater your expenses.
Considering all above people in India must know what the citizens should demand from there government for the taxes they are paying.

Middle class is actually more poor than poors. They waste their precious life for earnings for poors, govt and corporates.
This budget shows how disconnected this govt is from the people and their conditions/needs. Government should give color code cards to tax payers ie. If taxpayer paid 50K+ tax then blue card, 1L+ then yellow, 2L+ then Green Card, 3L+ then Silver card and 5L+ then Golden card, and Then gov should give discount benefits for each card, like toll tax discount, land and home resitry tax discount and another similar tax other then GST. Then tax payers will feel little satisfied.

Very bad decision by FM. Rather than punishing salaried class with more taxes,govt should focus on bringing more people to pay tax
इस समस्या का कारण है अधिक लोकतंत्र । जब तक फ्री का खाने वाले सरकार बनाने का काम करेंगे तब तक सरकार भी तो उन्ही के हिसाब से काम करेगी । 2.2 % लोग प्रत्यक्ष कर देते हैं और सुविधाएं लेने वाले 100 % । फिर लोग तुलना करते हैं दूसरे देशों से । जहां 50% से 95 %लोग प्रत्यक्ष कर देते हैं । लोकतंत्र है बजट ऐसा ही आएगा । सरकार 2.2% का ध्यान रखेगी तो 97.8 % लोगों का वोट कैसे मिलेगा सरकार को ?? बिना वोट के सरकार बनेगी नहीं । यही समस्याए हैं लोकतंत्र की । जब तक देश में अधिकांश लोग मुफ़्त सुविधाओ के लिए खासतोर पर टैक्स ना देने वाले रहेंगे तब तक ऐसा ही रहेगा । इसमे सरकार का दोष नहीं है ।

I am a young class 1 officer in a Public Sector company and have been an income tax paying citizen since 2018.
Presently i am paying around 1.25 lakh in income tax along with a multitude of indirect taxes plus 10% deduction in NPS from salary.
I have no inherited wealth like property and due to income criteria I or my progeny can't have EWS benefit which is being cornered by many wealthy families with solid illegal income.
I sometimes wonder with rising taxes as income go higher, future liablities on accounts of children's education, property prices rising much higher than salary, will i ever be able to purchase home for myself.

The only solution I found is we the salaried employees comes together and build our own representation. I know we are not politicians but remember we need to have a political face. Our number is low, 2-3 crore only but remember we are quality and not quantity. Even our one day strike/ protest is going to impact not just Indian government but it will hit them globally. Protest against government is the only solution to not get squeezed.

Govt need to do population census, without that any allocation of budget in any sector or policy is unfair.
Govt are distributing freebies to 80-90 crores people . The tax payers money is wasted because the benefits are taken by those who are not eligible.
In Haryana people who are big farmers and have good income are also taking freebies. Lack of transparency for notifying the poor class .
Govt are also wasting money on Name plate of Panch and Sarpach which is not required.
All villagers are known their representatives.

Tax should be levied as per quota reservation allocation status. People who do not have any reservation should be exempted from tax bracket.

If the retail tax amount has increased as compared to corporate tax it is because people are purchasing more and certain categories of people are earning and there is increasing consumption and demand !! People are spending more which reflects upon the growing economy and purchase power.
Increase in retail or personal tax can not be compared with corporate tax directly one-to-one!
