I worked for public works up North here in Manitoba for 30 years. We used to use both of those types of sweeper attachments when we did spring cleanup on boulevards. We usually had a truck go ahead and water down the gravel on the boulevard and road to keep the dust down. One tractor with a back attachment would sweep the junk off of the blvd onto the road. A tractor with a back blade would follow up moving the gravel and junk away from the curb into a straight line. A front-end loader would follow up with a dump truck to scoop the remaining gravel off of the street. Finally, another small tractor followed up sweeping up after the dump and the remaining little bit of dirt. The weedeater attachment was great for doing small complaint jobs.
Put the snow plow back on your truck and back blade it - do it every year to my gravel drive in MI works awesome. Do it on a frosty morning and you can get 95% of the gravel out of the grass. A quick broom rake as fast as I can walk pulling it back into the drivecleans the remainder up. I also use the back blade on my tractor angle it back into the drive too - just depends on what's parked where in the pole barn
@@marcusmiller8110 i guess you needed to buy a better plow. It got pushed onto the grass with the plow and it didn't destroy the plow. About half my customers have gravel in some location of there drive or lot - constantly pushing piles of gravel especially after fist snow with no frost in the ground yet or early spring when we had a few thaws. Never has it destroyed my plow or wear edge. I did however hit a fence post sticking out of the concrete, buried in snow, in a parking lot somebody cut off with a torch and left it sticking up 2 inches. Customer had a fenced in area along a wall at his shop, with about 10 fence posts all were cut off flush with the concrete except one. I hit it at probably 12-15 mph all it did was break a trip spring. I find it hard to believe after, doing this with my plow, for the past 25 years, (nice try with your bs) dropping my plow on some loose gravel and backing up 5ft at 1 - 2 mph on a frosty morning would hurt anything.
They should have offered you a set of wheels on there to adjust for turf stone removal like they have for de-thatching with John Deere front brooms. I have one on my 455 tractor and trying to do what you are without wheels is very difficult. while the one I has comes with rear wheels, that's fine for blacktop snow and ice removal along with basic hard surface sweeping. Once you want to hit the grass and get stones out, there should be another set of swivel type wheels on either side of the broom with adjustments so you are just getting to the dirt and not scalping and stressing out your equipment. Then the broom will roll and float over uneven terrain and works great for road base stone removal. I got rid of my manual paddle broom for my Echo power head. was too much work when the broom does it all.
The brush needs gauge wheels to follow the contour of the ground, there is too much bounce with the weight of the operator on the rear of the machine. We used brooms for snow at the schools, cleaned to the pavement and lessened the need for salt. the broom concept has been around for 60 years.
I never thought about using that for mucking stalls. I wonder if the power shovel would work in a chicken coup. If you have a tool that does multiple tasks you're money ahead.
This would be a good tool to have for that one zero tolerance property that got the new building for the light snows. Or just having for the storage units to clean side walk till you get it paved. And even after it getting paved to “broom” snow to the street side and then plow then just plow the ends. Rather then the snow being up against the buildings.
Can you put in the customer contract that snow piles will be left on parking lot and not in the grass? Growing up with a gravel driveway, I always left piles on the gravel to save on raking in the spring.
Excellent work y’all. That broom seemed to get the job done for sure. It definitely can sling some material. Good luck with your estimates. That Stihl attachment will definitely wear ya out in a. Hurry. I’ve seen them used for snow removal too. Sidewalks and such. Y’all keep up the great work !!!
You should look into those brooms more you can do all sorts of things with them one thing you might be interested in is snow removal with them sense you don’t get a ton at once it’s perfect
Shawn, you did a great job, after you adapted to that machine attachment. I bet you got a workout using that for awhile. Y’all have a great evening.💯❤️👍🏾💜🙋🏽♀️✝️🙏🏾🇺🇸
that broom would work for lite snow and it can clean sidewalks to and you could have brought the other on with a blade and use it to LVL out the gravel to make it look better
I need a machine like that to get rid of the dirt on top of my lawn from the winter snowblowing on my dirt driveway but that thing looks like it could strip the grass off too.
Enjoyed the video as there were adjustments in using new equipment on a larger scale then power broom. As always be safe and praying for family and friends 🙏🙏🙏
Shawn, have you thought about buying a brush like this to use during the winter in the lighter snows! I know it would work well, especially if you turn down the hydraulic flow to the brush so it doesn't spin so fast! Hello from Wisconsin
I've been using a compact tractor to do this work in my area for years. its an older 4 series jd, 6 foot box blade and a pto broom on th front mounted to the frame. I dont know how makes the broom, I think its actually supposed to be on a larger toro awd front mower.
I can understand the businesses side, but with that being said. They should know and realize with gravel it's going to get moved with a plow service like that. Maybe they should think on getting their property paved or cemented to prevent it from happening. I'm sure you did your best to minimize the displacement.
we have to do that every year,,im not the one who put the rock there but do a good job of putting it back,,frount mount deer with traning wheels set at a good angle for the most part
Great job guys!! Not sure about that sweeper, I feel like there's a much better way, it won't be long Toro will come up with something good!! 👍 Great video guys!! 💕
Probably gonna get 100 lbs of grass seed a mix with some fertilizer for a few aprons that probably got scalped! We really never got a deep freeze! So I got a few cleanups
Looks good guys!! So, if you are willing to try the brush on the lawn..... you will do a great job on spring cleanup and then vaccum up debris and haul. You got an early start on the lawns! The lawns will look like a million bucks! That brush on the lawn will make killer stripes and I think it gives the lawn a head start!! Give it a try on your home lawn! Buy that brush use it on the lawns now! Your customers will be extremely pleased! Love the brush in winter too!
you aint kiddin about bi weekly growing foot and a half. these people just dont get it. then come summer late summer ill ride by check it out if it dont need it i move on.

Thats going to destroy the plow I did it before and destroy mine

Shawn spencer and his wife are doing a great job and do good work

Done plenty of snow removal with my broom on the multiforce. Need new bristles even. Good for a few inches until the banks get too high.
That attachment is dope.
Sure is brother
That attachment worked really good The best part is you both are not hurting
Another one! Great job guys! Showing different commercial grade brush! Sick! The Toro has no limits!!!💣💣💣💥💥💥

Hey Spencer love the videos quick question what kinda of boots do you wear? I start a new job next week and was wondering what kind you wear.
Well done Shawn & TQ! It appears to be a lot harder than you make it look!
What does her nickname TQ stand for?
@@bubbadump8 Trimmer Queen 😉
Why did the pole couldn't be cut down because the pole was made out of metal
Keep it up a little higher using the boom. Nice job! Toro need a bucket for mult-force. Ventrac has boom than use bucket. Spencer's got it done.
I loved the look on TQ’s face when she was riding the mower and she looked back at the camera.

Good job as always, Love watching your videos, you seem to be a great family. May God always bless.❤
That is an excellent motto to live by....my dad engraved that in my head at an early age. Great job!
Why did the joke couldn't jump over the moon because the joke didn't have springs
Shawn now that is the way to get things done and save your backs for sure.
One thing you could use it on pathways to remove
Snow and ice
Weeds and Moss
Stones and gravel
Many other things
Great video! Very cool! LOVE IT! FUN TO WATCH!
Great video. Would add that to your lawn care arsenal.
I think i would invest in one of those brooms for winter, would work amazing on sidewalks and stuff you use the plow on the grandstand for.
Enjoyed the video as there were adjustments in using new equipment on a larger scale then power broom. As always be safe and praying for family and friends 🙏🙏🙏
Good work guys stay safe out there and stay warm
I was going to say good thing there was nothing stuck in the broom when you started it lol
Awesome video have a great upcoming Thursday

What was the product that TQ used on your trailer decking????
Hurricane maker! Does a nice clean up for sure!

I know it was a large area, but I think I would have done it with a steel tooth garden rake. Don't have easy access to that kind of equipment.

Your powerbroom is turning the wrong way!? How. It is supposed to
fling debris forward, not backwards.
I assume that it’s not just getting it out of the grass but spreading it out so you don’t have high spots
Stihl makes a two wheel cart for power sweep..way better in my opinion then weed eater option
Hey Team Spencer, The brush attachment for the multiforce looks fun to use!
Damb! I gotta get that attachment!!
I only run redmax in my lawn care Backpack flowers weep wept and xmark 0 terms
You really should have blurred out the employees license plates.
I'd definitely need the wheel weights as I only weigh 130lbs.
Your mower is not gonna suck that stuff up when you're cutting 3.5 or 4 inches high....that stuff will sit right down in the grass.
Great job guys!!

I always tell the clients that i dont do weekly/biweekly... i do as needed.
looks like wheel weights are needed
Eastern Ohio is considered mid West ???
I didn’t plow any gravel driveways but had one where in the middle of the driveway was Grass🤔yeah! Scalped the whole driveway!
I usually just use a rock rake or a tine rake
Just wait it's 74° here in Birmingham Alabama 80°s tomorrow and Friday! Then storms
Hey Shawn please tell me were you got your glasses and what is the brand of frame I can't find that frame online any were again please respond

I cut all mine every two weeks

Agreed… no biweekly till July
I'll cut someone's grass that's a foot high...not my problem how it looks when it's done.
@@Browns4life I’m a bit more picky… plus it’s harder on my equipment
Better change your air filter on your mower
No disrespect...that's some laziness...thanks for the laugh..
Hey Shawn do u charge for this?
Gotta put the trailer straps on yet!!
I am surprised you didn’t get one of those brooms for snow and gravel removal and much more
I don't even offer bi-weekly
I have to mow my own lawn 2 times per week to keep up with it

Hi friends enjoyed the video have a day love from TEXAS
Why don't you buy a brush attachment for your mower
I should have bought a multi force!! Smh, I just bought a brand new grandstand regular 60 in unit
if those people dont want plow gravel in their grass then they should do some paving and i think your wasting your time and money
you aint kiddin about bi weekly growing foot and a half. these people just dont get it. then come summer late summer ill ride by check it out if it dont need it i move on.
Do you charge for this or since it’s “your mess” you don’t charge?
This is the worst part about plowing rock lots, it's either take off the rock or you barely take any snow off.
Nice work y’all
How much to rent that shawn
