Nomad Internet sent out their Nomad Air with the 200Mbps Wireless Rural Unlimited Ultra internet plan and their travel bundle, and I compared it to my Starlink Standard satellite system. I got some pretty interesting results.

DO NOT SIGN UP WITH NOMAD BEFORE CHECKING YELP OR BBB!!! SCAMMERS! Please research these scammers, first. I wish I did.

Nomad is super shady. They try to hide the fact that you're not actually buying the device, you're renting it. The Nomad Air, for example, is $249.95 not to buy, but for a "one time equipment rental fee". If you ever want to cancel your service you will need to return the device, and if it's not in a condition acceptable to them they will charge an additional $439. If you don't return it they'll refuse to cancel your service and just keep billing you for it.

A lot of people have been saying that their internet has just been going out. And they can't get ahold of nomad themselves. Do you know anything about that? I live in the middle of nowhere and am looking for internet. I can at least try to play games with. The reason I'm looking at nomad is because they offer the highest internet speeds by me. Just don't know how reliable they are.

I don't know about all credit card companies, but mine offers the ability to create a virtual card number, with the goal of adding a layer of protection for online purchases. If you pay for a service that makes it difficult to cancel or may potentially make mystery charges, simply cancel the virtual number.

So it’s more worth it to buy the Starlink

Good review. I love my Starlink, as we go camping where there is NO cell signal, so Starlink it great. A few weeks ago I had a problem with the dish or modem, so Starlink sent me a whole new kit (dish, modem, cable) all at no charge. Great support!

      Nomad Air ( $199 )

😄Question,... It rains/rained in Los Angeles, CA? crazy, crazy. And thankyou for what I could best describe as "due diligence" on the Nomad background/sponsorship. 👍

Yeah, rain becoming way more regular out here. And no prob :)

It typically rains for the month of October in Los Angeles; then no rain for another year.

I live in a rural area surrounded by trees and there few places close to my house that starlink will work. So I am considering other options. I like to stream and play games online. The internet I have has high latency, but I'm not seeing a lot of people gaming with nomad so it's a risk.

why is it all these videos really don't show how far they are from the cell towers.. get 30 miles away and show me some results... not something 8 miles away, at least with starlink if I'm really far from a tower I will get signal.. show some real results without being paid to do so.

These 2 products are not really comparable as my area is blocked away from cell towers due to the mountains. Only satellite will work as most phone line internet companies don’t even serve my area.

Nomad seems like a solid option if you're in the US. For the rest of you enjoy your X powered starlink

That uses various cell towers? What if you live in an area with extremely poor cell coverage? OK.....I see now, you addressed that.

What are you talking about the cheaper plan your not allowed to travel? That's 100% false, the whole point of this "nomad" system is so you can travel!!!! Also your prices are way off, it's $300 for the modem and 99 a month for unlimited TRAVELING

Yeah but it costs 400 more than the starlink and you never own the nomad, plus starlink is off the chart here for both upload and download speed ,i get 340terabytes a second
