Es mas simple y rápido comprar un reductor de 3/8 a 1/2, asimismo adquirir el tapon de 1/2 y resuelto el problema.
También cuando uno va a unir con pegamento dos piezas, se deben lijar antes de aplicar el adherente para obtener una union óptima, ua que con el tiempo; por las presiones constantes del agua, el sol y otros agentes atsmosfericos se degrada el adherente; y entonces aparecen las fugas del líquido
Hay veces que uno no dispone de los accesorios, y al unir con pegamento, es cierto, esa manera es la ideal. Gracias por tu observación.

Oh, is THAT all you have to do to avoid a 39 cent adapter? Just buy a $114 heat gun, a $39 pair of cutters, a $23 tube of adhesive, drink 89 teaspoons of sugary drink 13 times (wait for it), at the cost of (I don't know, I'm not stupid enough to drink the shit), spend a day failing at the first 12 attempts, and simply succeed on the 13th try, only to have this temporary "solution", instead of doing it the right way with the 39 cent adapter, come apart the next day. GREAT IDEA!

Why are there so many videos on the int where people want you to heat up pvc to hack a fitting instead of doing it right and getting the right parts.
You know in 10 years somebody's going to need to call a plumber to fix something and they're going to be like "what the f**'!"
Its a temporary solution, and very effective.

TBH, the only time I can imagine this being used is if you've already got that stuff and need something to work for an hour while you go to the store to get the appropriate hardware. And for some reason you can't leave the water shut off while you make the trip. There are so many issues with it, not the least of which being that it will fail eventually and you have a tap that's essentially all the way on or all the way off.
Ya vengo que voy a buscar todas esas herramientas, mucho más caras que repararlo normalmente, que las tengo debajo de la almohada.

como no tengo otro caño de pvp, ni esa tijera para cortarlo, ni el pegamento y menos un secador de cabello para ablandar el plastico de la botella para que se adapte al caño.... agarré un corcho, lo pelé un poco con un cuchillo de cocina (eso si tengo! jajaja), lo embolví con un pedacito de bolsa de plastico (de supermercado, eso tambien tengo! jeje) a modo de teflón, lo coloqué y listo.
😂Excelente manera de solucionarlo! De por ahi hago un video con tu método! 😅
Y si lo quieres abrir utilizas un sacacorchos
podrías poner una llave de paso si ya tienes el pegamento PVC y resolvería el problema mas fácil digo porque puedes cortar el agua de esa tubería 😋o una llave jardinera que es lo que debería ir allí de PVC o metálica con un adaptador a tubo PVC

Ok so to make sure I understand this instead of buying a sweat or shark bite adapter I just need to have pipe, glue, a heat gun , a plastic bottle with a cap and about 30 extra minutes. Seems like more trouble than it's worth sorry.

How is this helpful. I mean just having to take the cap on and off is most likely going to get you wet. I truly doubt that the set up would hold for a long period of time and most likely it would burst open about the time your gone for a good length of time and the time and material it took you to do that would have been equivalent to just buying a sharkbite valve and less than a minute to install and your done.

Tuviste suerte en encontrar una botella con precinto roto que se agarre bien. Mayormente esas botellas al romperse el precinto ya no sirven y con la presion del agua se tendria que a ver salido.
