Omg… I am exhausted just watching. Like you, after 25 years, I am divorced and was left with the house, attic and 3 car garage to clean out. But us women know how to get things done for sure!!! 😉Thanks for the tips. Wishing you much happiness in your new home!!!!
I’m 67, my husband 72. I’ve been trying to talk him into going through our stuff to get rid of things. He wants to keep it all but he is now having hip problems and can barely walk. Everything is up to me , the inside and a large yard that I have to mow and now care for. People trust me the older you get you need to get rid of stuff before it is too late and so stressful.
Thank you for the reminder. I put it off because hubby wants to keep everything, even if we haven't used it in YEARS. It upsets him and he thinks I'm "heartless" because I want to get rid of stuff like VHS tapes the kids loved. The last child still at home is a college senior and isn't watching Maisy and fraggle rock anymore :/ ditto for toys. Crib is still in the attic and daddys little princess is now 21 and 5'10". Sigh...
I did this 13 years ago and I'm still traumatized from it LOL. Moving brings up so many feelings and more so after a divorce. On top of the move, which is stressful as it is but also the memories of the past as you're packing each room (I too did it all on my own). During the move itself I was like you so focused and organized and I surprised myself on how strong I was. It was after it was over that I had to process the all those feelings. I wish I had a video like this to help me get through it. This video will help women more than you know. Take care Angie and all the best.
The last time I helped someone move, we stacked the plates with disposable plates in between, then slid them two or three in a stack into the foam envelopes and wrapped stretchy film around a stack of foam envelopes to make a tight bundle. We had been saving packing materials, so a layer of foam went on the bottom of each box. We filled the corners of the boxes with dishrags or packing peanuts, and then added another layer of foam on top. Everything arrived on the other side of the country safe and sound.
Yes!! There are 2 shelters in my area & I asked if they would like clothes & stuff from my old bigger home that was too nice to bin & they bit my hand off. ( Decor too, as if they are given accomodation they only get white goods & a bed & sofa in it).
Yes Angie, a local womens' shelter would love all the toys and crafts. As Grass roots said they have nothing or very little upon arrival. Also often the refuge charity endeavours to provide the women with items when they eventually move into their new homes when housing becomes available, so rely on regular good quality donations. Even little ornaments can make the refuge hostel more homely. Good luck with your house move.
Watching you do this makes me so sad…I had to do it after 27 years of marriage and it is extremely overwhelming. Please prepare yourself to break down when you leave for the last time. All of those memories will come flooding back. That happened to me and I stood outside the front door locking it up for the last time with my two adult boys and just cried😭 But the starting over in a new place is exciting and helps to leave the past behind😍Two years later my mom passed away, my father had already passed, and so I had to do it all over again! I am holding you close in my heart and thoughts. Thank God for your friends right! On a lighter note…With all of your arts and crafts supplies you could start a craft channel on TH-cam!🤣🤣 Wishing you strength to get thru this and much happiness on the other side of it. Hugs 🤗
Everyone is being so polite about your doing this ALL ALONE. I'm actually angry that no one is helping you! But you're amazing and have such a great attitude. ❤️
And sometimes alone is all you have unless you want to hire help. Grown kids may not live close any more. Parents may be too old or deceased. And if Angie's like I was, doing it yourself (I am Woman. Hear me Roar 😉) gets it done when you want it done without waiting on someone else's schedule to coincide.
Angie mentioned in her moving announcement video that she has great friends who've been helping and that her two daughters also came and helped at some point. But she deserves huge credit for doing the bulk of this alone! Go Angie!!!
Hi Angie! It feels so sad watching you pack up your home that you have been in for so long- and I have to say, it feels unfair that ALL of this falls solely on you- But I am wishing you a wonderful new life in your new location with all of the things and people your heart desires! Xoxo
Two other youtubers I watch, Frederique Bros in Australia and Marie-Anne Lecoeur in France just moved. Something must be going on astrologically! We are all taking notes here! Thanks for doing this, Angie. We really appreciate it.
As I am watching your video I am looking around my new place down here in Florida and I still have boxes to the ceiling that need to be unboxed and put away. I have to say that my ex-husband and I did everything together in NY. He really did the bulk of the packing and all the heavy lifting. It was the most heart wrenching time to pack up my kids rooms and all the memories of living in a home for 25 yrs. saying goodbye to my neighbors that I had spent so much time with was very hard. We all raised our children together, but as the saying goes all good things come to an end and life goes on. I wish you all the best in your new home. The one saving grace I have found to help through this process was I joined a Pilates class and have made some really nice friends. I can be outdoors just about 12 months out of the year down here which helps keep my mind busy and cry over the past as much. Moving is very difficult and I truly wish you all the best.
Angie, I too became single at age 45 after my husband passed away. I too sold the big house that we owned and where my sons lived before moving on to college. Although it was a ton of work, there was something very freeing about being able to purge all of the things that no longer served me. Like you, I donated a ton of items to local schools, Goodwill, a local vet (old towels) and other organizations. Once I moved into my new house, I was sooooo happy. I wish the same for you!
There's no telling how much this video will resonate with people right now. Thank you for doing this. You're so organized! Personally, I'm a little surprised that you didn't opt to rent out the house instead of selling, but I understand wanting a fresh start. We're all rooting for you in your new chapter as you continue to inspire almost a million subscribers.
Just want to thank you for letting us share in this journey- to be so busy and still take the time to film is remarkable. Omigosh. The paint cans. For this reason alone I am forever tied to my current home. You are so organized and doing such a great job! And you look well-rested- it’s astonishing! ;) Wish all of us could help you, but hope we are providing emotional support at least. I am sure there are a lot of feelings of sadness as you leave the home your children were raised in- but the love and memories will always be with you- and that’s the important thing. Excited for you as you begin a new adventure
Good luck with your move. Watching this video brought back so many memories for me. When my husband passed away in 2018 I decided to sell my 3300 sf house we had been in for 18 years. I decluttered 18 years of stuff, I had a ton of paint I had to dry out with kitty litter as well. I too was building a new smaller house and I put my house on the market that June as I was suppose to be in the new home by mid August. The house sold in three days snd they wanted almost immediate occupancy. I was able to negotiate a few extra weeks in the house, but in the end, I still ended up having yo stay with my daughter for 3 weeks until my house was done. It was a very stressful time dealing with the passing of my husband snd moving, but It all turned out great, and I love my new home. Since then I vowed to never accumulate clutter
OMG, this brought back crazy memories. I just did this 2 years ago, divorce, I delt with the house a year after by myself. THE PAINT!!!!! Same. Good luck, breathe, you got this!
Sending strength and prayers you are doing in a month what it’s taken me a decade to get to and we haven’t moved house yet! Your resilience is inspiring. It’s great to get to know you better beyond makeup and beauty.
You are simply awesome. Taking the time to share all your creativity is helping so many people. In addition, your thoughtfulness of giving to others - especially Vietnam Vets is where true beauty lies. Thank you.
Having moved 6 times in over 20 years, 3 of them being cross country, my best advise is take less than you’re planning on bringing to the new house. Each time we’ve moved we took less and less, our last move 5 1/2 years ago was a breeze because I’d become an expert by then and the key was being minimal, hence my user name. I know it’s not for everyone but for us it’s made our lives a joy. I’m not a true minimalist by definition, because it’s not sterile, it’s cozy and uncluttered. Wishing you the best for your new life ahead Angie!
Love this! I have about 10 years left in my current house, and then one last move (fingers crossed!). I really appreciate your planning and organization tips, as well all the handy moving supplies you’ve found. I’m so impressed by how much you can accomplish in a day - you’re like the Energizer Bunny! ☺️🙌🏼
WOW! what a chore to pack 25 years of stuff! I've been in my house for 15 years and can't image how hard it will be to move when that day comes. so many memories! I hope you don't hurt yourself and take plenty of breaks. thanks for sharing. :)
We are in our early 50’s no plans to move but will be downsizing eventually. I’ve already started cleaning out. Thank you for taking us on this journey with you!
I actually enjoy packing alone. If I have help, all I get done it answering the helps questions! But, I tend to be a control freak. Also, the purging feels good! Best wishes for you; what an exciting time!
I’m glad you feel confident in your audience to ver from your usual topics and show a more personal vlog. It seems so much “easier” to video some of your moving related activities than doing the usual. You have so much to do! Seems bittersweet watching- sort of sad to close that chapter yet exciting to start a new one. I hope you know you have grace with us as you navigate your time and transition. Thanks for sharing- it got me so reflective!
I feel your pain. We moved three times in ten years, the first one from the UK to the USA. I had to do that one myself as my husband had to start his job in the US early. My penny worth of advice is get rid of as much as possible and school aftercare programs may take your craft supplies and games. You are doing a wonderful job. Rooting for you. 🤗
Our city has a place called SCRAP where arts and crafts supplies can be donated.. I’ve heard other cities have similar places. Good luck with everything, Angie!
I live outside Boston and our SAVIOR when we moved was the free stuff facebook groups (Free Stuff Somerville, Free Stuff Beverly/Marblehead, etc.). You post what you have and people will come to you! Easy peasy!
Angie that was awesome! I’ll be 74 in a couple months, my husband is 78…btw he needs two hip replacements and we are moving from our 2 story home we have been in for 39 years! UGG! Your sharing all of your moving ideas and products that you are using to make moving less stressful and organized is a blessing to me, and I’m sure to many others… Thank you so very much for sharing! May you be happy in your new home wishing you the very best😘
I too have moved out of a house I lived in for 16 years. I down sized to a brand new 2/2 townhouse which I am closing on in 3 weeks. I've been staying between my boyfriend and parents since March, my house sold in 12 hours when I listed it in February😱 I have to move one more time and that is IT for me. I got rid of almost everything but it was still exhausting and cathartic at the same time. I'm 55 and too old for all this work🤣 enjoy your new place!
Good woman Angie I hope you love your new home 🏡❤I moved from a 3 bed house to 1 bed apartment last year the decluttering was a kick in the teeth. 20yrs of stuff my head was wrecked melted off me but I got there in the end. You are inspirational ❤🙌💖👏♥💗
Yikes! I am getting anxiety watching this. I can hear it in your voice. I thought it would be fun but instead I am really feeling for you and wish I could help you. 😔 Thanks for sharing your journey with us. No doubt it will help someone going through the same. Best wishes Angie as you begin an exciting new chapter in your new home. 🌸 🏠 💗
I love a list, it makes everything simpler & quicker & writing it down stops the stressing because you feel in control . Then ticking what you've done is beyond satisfying.😁
As we’ve moved, we have always appreciated having the leftover paint for repairs without having to match from scratch! If it’s not too old, label what room it goes to and be done. ; -)
@@EastOrlandoFlorida-I purchased a townhome in 2018, and the previous owners left the paint for me. I really appreciated it, when I wanted to use that same color elsewhere.
I regularly donate to a women's halfway house. As these women are transitioning back into living on their own, they are in need of so many things. They take any and everything and they are so appreciative. Perhaps there is one located in your area.
Thank you for sharing with us Angie. I also moved after 25 years too, your tips are great. I couldn’t help but remember how emotional the experience was for me, especially when you showed your craft boxes. So many memories with my kids. Can’t wait to see your new place!
I feel for you, Angie.... when my husband got a new job, we had to relocate from Tennessee to Maryland, and he had to leave early to start his new job, so I packed up the home we had raised our kids in mostly by myself. I went to my day job and then came home to my new evenings and weekend job and went thru the same kinds of challenges... selling furniture, making donations during specific days and hours, and trips to the dump. It is exhausting, for sure, but I hope the move turns out just as well for you as it did for us! Love you!
Moved from our house after 25 years! So much stuff! Emotional ride down memory lane and exhausting getting rid of things and packing what you’re taking. Moving is a lot of work and tiring! But once it’s all done and you’ve actually moved, it is all wonderful (if you like where you moved) and exciting. And so nice just to be in an uncluttered and organized environment all refreshed surrounded by all the things you love. It will be all worth it! So proud of you for having the courage to do so! There are a lot of people who are hesitant and fearful to do so, so you are being a wonderful example to many women our age or ones who have divorced, to have the the courage to do so and get to see that they will be ok and that it can be a great experience and all the good memories still stay in your heart. Don’t allow them to hold you back for all the new wonderful memories to be made ahead of you! So happy for you!
Angie, I work in children's church. We do a lot of crafts with the children. I know that churches would love some of your crafts and games. And maybe other things too. Covid has been very hard on our churches. Just a thought.
Donating to retirement homes is a great idea. They do not have the funding like schools. Keeps their minds alert!!! Congrats on your move and new beginnings.
Absolutely! And also, Angie…they will usually appreciate and take the “older school” items no one else wants, like cds, VHS…the older people still use and like the old school things!
My Mom played video games in her 70's. But we were able to let her age in place and play video games with her. It was so much fun that I still play video games instead of looking at social media.
Wishing you all the best - this is so exciting but also challenging. Remember to be kind to yourself as you are doing the best that you can(it seems that you get this). Sometimes we forget that even trying to give stuff away is a lot of work/time and even more so during this pandemic. Looking forward to seeing your new place when you get settled.
Awww...I can hear the sadness in your voice. It's nostalgic to pack up our life and move on to a new chapter. Prayers for a beautiful transition to your new home.
I use bubble wrap and then pack it away securely and dust-free for the next move. Have used the same bubble wrap for the last 20 years. I've moved a lot. Time to recycle the bubble wrap!
Oh my goodness! I know I’ll be moving in the next couple of years and you have inspired me to start getting ready now. Thank you for taking us with you on this journey!
I’ve been watching you on TH-cam from the very beginning. I am so excited for you and watching you, not just your face but your movements and the space that you once called home makes me feel more connected to you. I am also connected to Tammy ageless beauty and she’s also moving and watching her going through this process of relocating has been magnificent. I want you to know that you do make a difference in the lives of those that watch you. I am an essential worker and on my hard days at work I just wanted to lay back watching and learning from you. so thank you
Hi Angie. When we moved I was at Home Depot all the time for moving supplies. They have moving boxes that fold closed with no tape required in two sizes. I also purchased plain newsprint to wrap things and big rolls of bubble wrap. I ordered online and then picked up.
Thanks so much for doing this for us. Moving and vlogging, you are Wonder Woman! I’m divorced with a 13 year old still at home, so I’ll be moving in 5 years when he goes to college, but I’ve kept the house. This is so helpful to prepare! So many ideas and tips, thanks Angie and good luck with it all!
My parents didn't have enough for their estate sale, so we just told the estate company to take a bigger cut and they did it then. We just wanted the stuff gone and didn't care about how much we made.
OMG I was feeling so overwhelmed and anxious just watching this. I’m not sure how you’re getting through it all, but you seem pretty calm considering. Best of luck to you with everything!
so organized and (as always) showing us the way. I haven't moved in 30 years and even the thought of it is overwhelming. Take little bites. Maybe Habitat will take your furniture, all the best in the new place, can't wait to see it!
Angie you never cease to AMAZE me! Such a rock star!🌟 I’ve been in my big house for 35 yrs. I think it’s time to start going through things & purging! I am ready to downsize, but my husband is another story. My congratulations on yr new start.
Definitely bittersweet. I hope your girls and friends can help. It’s so overwhelming moving alone. Been there. A handyman can be helpful on both ends of the move. Change is scary and exciting.
Best wishes with all phases of the transition! Moving is a lot of work - especially after 25 years in one spot. Best of luck in your new home! You are beautiful, intelligent, graceful and a fantastic role model for women!
Hi Angie. This is a very fun video to watch but I wouldn’t want to be you! LOL! Bless your heart! What a huge undertaking! You were so kind to think about all the organizations to which you may donate items. You obviously put a lot of thought into that which is wonderful. Different note, I loved all your bright wall colors! It must be tough to move and leave all those memories behind but I know you have them very organized and will keep them with you and your heart. Blessings to you and again, I wish you great success!🎂🎉🎄💝🎄🎂🎉💝🎄🎂
Angie I donated all my cans of half full paint to our local community theater. They use paint for set designs. They were thrilled and I didn’t have to dry out cans to dispose. Good luck with your move!
Went through the same thing myself, very hard to donate things. I finally loaded up my entire driveway and ordered a trash pickup, by the next morning about 1/3 was gone. Just have to let go , bye bye, feels so good when you are on the other side of it
We just moved from Utah to Virginia. My husband's company paid for someone to pack for us, thank goodness! The moving company lost a few of our things, but everything was insured. So I can really relate to what you're going through!
I made the to-do list with a count down of days till the move too. And, yes, going through all the items brought back a flood of memories which were bitter sweet but probably a healthy way to get closure. Ugh, the dealing with the toxic chemicals like paint was the worst. I used my pillow cases, small towels, dish rags, etc to wrap up my plates and glasses. Saved on the bubble wrap. Sadly, most of my books had to be sent to recycle cause even the library couldn't take them. Good news is I lost ten solid pounds with the move and got down to my high school weight. It's the next chapter Angie! I'm so happy you've got an exciting adventure in your future. You make me feel young.
We moved across country 4 years ago and did that “smooth” transition and we still moved a ton of stuff we could’ve done without. I am still going through boxes shaking my head “why did we move these items?”😂
I just said that to myself yesterday LOL! I told my boyfriend why did I pack this shyt?! I have no room so I’m about to have to purge ish I just moved 😂
Same! And I should have known better. We moved across the country 2 years ago and brought way too much even though we felt like we purged. Just moved across town and realized we should have sold or donated about 50% of what we brought!
We are military fam so move every few years. Have been hauling stuff all over the world for 15 years. Sometimes tje thinking is, "I can't use it in this house but maybe the next house or the one after that.."
@@flowergirl1127 I know right. I just moved from Toronto back to LA. What is also terrible and heartbreaking is seeing how much money I spent on stuff that was put away and I never really used. Like all her crafting stuff, lots of money going bye bye. So after my move I’m so much more conscious of what I am buying. Have kind of become a minimalist.
I also got divorced this past year. My son is grown and I have two grandchildren. I’m still in the big house and haven’t pulled the trigger yet to down size. Angie, you always inspire me! ❤️
Oh my gosh, what an undertaking! I'm not moving, but have picked up some great tips for when I do room purges. Thanks for letting us follow along on your adventure!
Was anyone else sad to see Angie unload the bookshelves that have served as her filming background for YEARS? That background has become so familiar for me.
My husband was sitting next to me while I was watching this video and was so happy to learn the "kitty litter in the old paint" trick. Bless your heart, moving is so difficult. You're doing such a great job of it!
I did have to go through 20 years of things as well when I moved. It was overwhelming because I was working full time and packing until the wee hour’s of the morning. At times I had melt downs of crying. My house sold in 4 days and I had only 3 weeks!!!! If it were not for friends and family I could not have accomplished it. The bright light in all was having a 6 foot pile of donations in the garage. I found a company that came and took it all. I was so happy later that I got rid of so much kids and stored stuff that needed to be rehomed to a party that would love it! Stay the course. Your doing great. The time flies so fast so I daily tried to over accomplish my list.
Hey!! Good luck, Angie!!! I donate my craft stuff to a Y that has an after school program & summer camp. They use the stuff to have arts & crafts for the kids. Best wishes!!!
A Women’s shelters may take the games and craft stuff. We moved every couple of years in the military. Moving your fragile stuff on your own is a great idea.
Love this video so much, and it was encouraging to me for so many reasons! I also have two daughters, teenagers, and your video a while back when you helped your daughter move to Miami was so sweet, I loved it. When I get sad about thinking of them moving away for college, I like to remember all of the advice you gave in that video! Hang in there, you have a dedicated fan base who is cheering for you! Good luck with your move, change can be exciting! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Oh Angie! Bless your heart. I had to pack up by myself after my divorce. Thank you for making such a great effort to do what you do for us in the middle of your chaos life right now. I’m so happy for you!
I too just went through this. But it was such a traumatic situation & divorce I vasilated between pitch it all and keep it all. You're very methodical & organized. It's so much though I feel like I want to help you.
Your little dog is looking like "What's going on here???" Leaving a place we've lived for years is hard on us, but it's hard and confusing to our pets, too. Anyway, you're doing a great job organizing this move, far better than I ever could. You're also giving us all some tips for what might help make a move easier. Thanks.
You’re strong and amazing! Even through everything you’ve been doing you have a sense of humor. Your daughters are I’m sure so proud of their Mama! Love listening to your vlog and suggestions. 💛💪
Angie! So exciting to start fresh & still have your familiar things. When all the moving and getting settled is over take some time for yourself and we'll be here to welcome you to your new home. We love you! Best of luck 💟
I like that you have the packing all planned out. I leave things out for people to take for free too. The last time I moved I had a big rummage sale and sold a lot of stuff I didn't really need. I also donated a lot of things also. Made my move so much easier!
@@CarrieJamrogowicz That is true. Still a lot of manual moving of heavy cans in many communities. I will repeat - think about the guy emptying your garbage.
Hello Angie! Wow! You are coming along well with getting things prepared for your move. One suggestion regarding your fragile boxes, take them with you! Many moving companies, unless you have the entire truck for your move, they will pick up other items from other moves. This also means they will be moving items around inside the haul of the truck to fit in as much as they possibly can. I’ve moved too many times over the years, and have had items just destroyed due to movers who are busy moving items around and not paying attention to contents. If you do have room in your vehicle, anything you wish to arrived safely in one piece, take with you. I look forward to seeing your new home and seeing where your journey leads you! 🤗💗👍🏼
Oh sweetie......preach it darling! We are having to temporarily move into a apartment because we are also moving and...... the house sold in 48 hours. We are building a log cabin......buuuut as you said...everyone is booked and behind! I feel ya.....
Angie, you've got this! Thank you for sharing your moving journey with us. So many great tips in the comments!!! I wish you the best in this exciting and new phase of your life.
Thank you for showing us your packing and how you organize it. I am so impressed how much you get done in a day...those lists keep you on track. I wish you had help with those paint cans and moving stuff to the curb. I am very excited for you and your move. I think knowing that you are moving to a place that will provide you amenities is a bonus! Keep showing us your move if you can!
I know garage sales are a lot of work but ohh boy can you make a lot of money… it’s surprising the stuff you think no one would want [***One man’s junk is another man’s treasures!!***] plus it’s fun to do it with family and you really meet so many interesting people!!! Your local rescue mission will come and pickup whatever is leftover after the sale 😊
Omg… I am exhausted just watching. Like you, after 25 years, I am divorced and was left with the house, attic and 3 car garage to clean out. But us women know how to get things done for sure!!! 😉Thanks for the tips.
Wishing you much happiness in your new home!!!!

You are so right... you can do a drawer or a box per week. Your husband is wrong, we become more sentimental as we get older.
I know what you mean, but I’m a pack rat and so not ready to get rid of most things. 😢
Thank you for the reminder. I put it off because hubby wants to keep everything, even if we haven't used it in YEARS. Are you single now? Best of luck to new start
I just assumed she will get a lot of help from her friends 🤷♀️ Pets are walkin around like "whaaaaat?" It's hard on them too ❤
Angie mentioned in her moving announcement video that she has great friends who've been helping and that her two daughters also came and helped at some point.
Schools need all the help they can get. I was a teacher for 30 years and we never had enough money or budget for supplies
Yes, I suggested the craft stuff go to an art teacher or school.
Is she getting a divorce?
Vicki Roy - it is very freeing to purge things that you no longer need! This was a very nice comment.
Ditto Barbi! So inspiring to so many of us!
Being a landlord is horrible. Especially when you’re at a distance. I did it once and will never, ever do it again. Worst experience of my life.
The market is super hot right to sell
I would imagine you’re going to feel so free and lighthearted after purging for this move. I’m excited for you!
Looks like you're doing a great job. After my divorce I became a huge minimalist and travel very very light now. It's freeing...
My mother was a Navy wife. She used linens to pack fragiles. No waste!
UGG!
Your sharing all of your moving ideas and products that you are using to make moving less stressful and organized is a blessing to me, and I’m sure to many others…
Thank you so very much for sharing!
Wait did I hear right.....Angie went to the dentist to get TWO fillings replaced AND did all the rest in one day. Good grief. Truly an amazing woman.
I like your style Angie; I’m the same way, just take the bull by the horns and get her done !!!!! Good luck with the move✌️💕
It was two fillings replaced, not a root canal or a tooth extraction.
AND she looks fabulous anyway! If I did all that, I would look like...well....you know.
This is exactly why I started swedish death cleaning about 2 years ago, I am anticipating moving and just wanted the clutter gone anyway.
If it’s not too old, label what room it goes to and be done. ; -)
Your local Girl Scout troops may be interested in the arts and craft supplies!
Same. The people before us had the place professionally repainted before showing and asked us if we wanted the leftovers for touch ups. Yes ma'am!
I'm tired just watching this!
But so worth it.
A new home!
So exciting!
And most of the time people think of schools and daycares and not retirement homes.
My mother moved many times as my dad was in the military- she always used sheets, towels and dish clothes to wrap and pack her fragile items.
I use paper towels and then use them for cleaning when I get there, But your Mom was boss!
I use bubble wrap and then pack it away securely and dust-free for the next move. Have used the same bubble wrap for the last 20 years. I've moved a lot. Time to recycle the bubble wrap!
Thank you for filming this while you're obviously very busy with your move. I wish we could come help you! 🖤
We held in indoor "yard sale" once for a family member and shockingly it went well. People came through and bought EVERYTHING
I admired your organization and tenacity. That is a huge job to do mostly on your own!
I don’t envy you. We moved from our home of 25 years too. And it was just us two. So much stuff!
How are you enjoying the humidity? I moved from Idaho to Charlottesville.
All I can say is that your creativity, and your research knowledge comes through beautifully...
Me too! We moved four years ago and moved a lot of crap with us. It's amazing how much stuff we have now that we're pushing 60!
We are military fam so move every few years. Have been hauling stuff all over the world for 15 years. Sometimes tje thinking is, "I can't use it in this house but maybe the next house or the one after that.."
You are a power house! No help? I'm sure all that is not yours alone.
I so appreciate you sharing such a labor intensive and sometimes emotional journey ❤️
Oh wow you have so much stuff. I tell people to do a yearly purge. Go thru every room every year.
Watching this video made me want to start purging immediately! No plans to move (I just did five years ago), but you can't be too prepared!
You are amazing. Thank you for being so strong and independent, you are so inspirational. I'm getting there. You are my idol!
Was anyone else sad to see Angie unload the bookshelves that have served as her filming background for YEARS? That background has become so familiar for me.
I tend to focus on the fairy lights. It will be different. I've learned a lot about skincare and make up in that room!
Amen, Cindy Downs!
OMG Yes! I was sad however I am so proud and excited for Angie!
Absolutely.... I know it’s wrong but I cannot help think how can her ex let her do all that by herself:(
Because we only saw that corner, I thought Angie had converted a closet into her 'studio.' Now I see the room is huge!
My husband was sitting next to me while I was watching this video and was so happy to learn the "kitty litter in the old paint" trick. Bless your heart, moving is so difficult. You're doing such a great job of it!
I’m exhausted just watching all the work you’ve done. Looks like you have everything organized. Stay sane and I look forward to your next video.
You inspired me to de clutter and already have a veteran’s truck scheduled for pick up! Thank you Angie.
Omg it’s so weird to watch you pack up the shelves that have become your signature backdrop for so long!
Moving is such a pain in the hiney and it looks like you are doing most of it yourself! I can't imagine! Hang in there! Your almost there! ♥️🙏
You are truly amazing! How do you manage to keep your schedule on track. I'm so impressed!
Amazing that you are doing this by yourself. I just might be freaking out if it was me!
Angie! So exciting to start fresh & still have your familiar things. When all the moving and getting settled is over take some time for yourself and we'll be here to welcome you to your new home. We love you! Best of luck 💟
I'm moving in 4 years, I better start packing now! 😩
I like that you have the packing all planned out. I leave things out for people to take for free too. The last time I moved I had a big rummage sale and sold a lot of stuff I didn't really need. I also donated a lot of things also. Made my move so much easier!
I've learned it's a lot easier to move the garbage can to the front of the house FIRST then fill it with the really heavy stuff.
Don’t make it too heavy - someone - ie the garbage truck crew - has to deal with those heavy cans. Be kind to them
@@lindadreier3207 depends where you live, in my town the garbage trucks have mechanical arms that pick up the cans and dump them into the truck.
What a massive undertaking Angie. You’re going to need a vacation to recover from the move. 😳
Thank you for being so responsible with your things . A lot of people just trash every thing . So wasteful ! Love you donate / give
