I'm currently enrolled at a community college but I'm transferring to UTSA next year. I'm planning on keeping my grades up and transferring to UT Austin the following year (It's a lot of moving around, I know) but I just wanted to say thank you so much for making this video series, it really gives me a lot of clarity looking forward

i know you might not replay to this or even take a look at it, but I'm hoping you do. I was top ranked in my high school but i chose to go to the University of Houston which i hate so much. The only reason I went there was that my family thought we were moving up north so i applied to the University of Maryland and other universities as such. Long story short, they changed their mind and it was time to apply to Texas universities. UT application deadline has passed, wrote them an appeal but was ignored. So, that's what got me to UH.
One mistake i made was i should have gone to a community college as i would be qualified for an automatic transfer but for God's sake! i went to UH. my problem is since i hate the school so much and was pretty much forced to go there. my GPA has suffered. I currently have a 3.57 GPA (which is not bad but, is a huge blow to what I'm capable to earning). I just applied for UT spring 2020 transfer which i would have completed my core by then but i'm really nervous my GPA would not cut it. I hate the fact i'm in this situation and it really starting to frustrate me. I don't know what i would do if the universe forces me to spend my 4 years in the school i really dont like.

hey I’m kind of in the same boat as you but I’m in my first year at HCC, what do you mean by going to a community college you qualify for an automatic transfer? How does that work? I would really appreciate since I’m also really stressed out.

I found your video extremely helpful. I'm planning on transferring to UT in fall of '21. I just have a quick question. On the application, who can write a general recommendation letter? One of my professors is already going to write me for the academic recommendation.

When do they send out transfer admissions for Fall 2017? For the March 1st deadline?

I am a freshman at UT Dallas majoring in Computer Science. I have a 4.0 as of now but I have neither string extra curricula nor a strong resume as of now. I really want to go to UT Austin, but don't think my application would be very strong. Is it still worth it to apply now for fall 2017 with my current status or wait to apply for spring 2018 ? Thank you

Do you recommend people with a bad GPA history to apply? I went to college in 2008 to 2010 but didn't realize that I wasn't ready did really really bad. Recently I found out that there's a fresh start policy but ten years is a long wait for a person who want to achieve more in life. If you take all the coursework for Mechanical Engineering I did lately, it's almost a 4.0. What's upsetting is schools often look past that.

how hard is it to get into RTF as an out of state transfer? if I have a 4.0 does that give me a decent chance?

I am a dual-enrolled high school student and will graduate my senior year with my Associates degree. When I apply to UT, would I be considered a freshman student or a transfer?

Thanks for your comment! You will apply as a first-time freshman.
