Great video, well done! 🙂How does it compare against GH5/s with Sigma 18-35? You are forced to use it in APS-C with the S5, right? Using the adapter do you loose any light?
Hey, i love my gh5 and i'm amazed about what you can do with it, but there is significant improvement in image quality with the s5, just the fact that i can shoot 4k 50p in 10bit is a good enough reason for me over the gh5, and in low light i can go to 4000 ISO due the dual ISO option and still get great footage, against the gh5 that i never go over 1000 ISO, I have just ordered a prime lens 35mm 1.8 when i get it i will be doing a comparison video on the s5 as will be able to shoot 4k full frame in 30p with the new lens vs the cropped version of what i get zoomed in to 35mm with the sigma 18-35 in f1.8
@@thatvideoguy4k thanks a lot for your reply. Good to know, yes I also loved my GH5, but the S5 is a beast. Only missing the crazy IBIS of GH5. Good to know, that the sigma 18-35mm works so good with it. We get a crop using 4k 60p anyway so it is absolutely fine. :)
How do you adapt the sigma lens to the s5? I am very much considering selling my GH5 (swore I’d never let it go) for the S5, but want to keep the sigma 18-35 lens. I’m using a viktrox adapter now. I understand the S5 is an L mount lens…so I’m just wondering how you adapted the 18-35 to the s5?
Hey bro, I use the Sigma MC-21 EF to L mount and it works like a charm, i'm sure you won't regret as you get used to camera, i also have the gh5 and i will do my best to never have to sell it. 🤞
Is it possible to maintain the same crop while shooting 24 that you get when shooting 60? I couldn't deal with the focal length discrepancy when switching between the two.
in my case I'm using the sigma 18-35, and since it's not a full frame lens the camera crops it in all frame rates so it stay the same, i would prefer to have the full frame, but you still can get great stuff with it even when cropped, so getting a lens that stays cropped could help you if you don't mind not using the full sensor
@@thatvideoguy4k So the crop is identical in 24 and 60 because the camera adjusts it automatically due to the lens not being full frame? Thats... weird.
Can you force it not to crop? For example if you want to use just the 35mm of the 18-35mm since it does not have vignette on FF at that focal distance@@thatvideoguy4k

The footage from this combo looks very great, did you use any mist filter?
Hey, thanks, yes, I believe I used a 1/8 promist filter for this shoot

There's an adapter for it too

@@lamosos yes, depending on the shot you can try to shoot at 30p, you can still slow down about 20% and you can use the full sensor
